Topsail Village at the Salt Pond
Our single-family home is located in the Salt Pond community, just a two minute drive from Bethany Beach. The community is built around an 18 hole, par 61, executive golf course. The Salt Pond community also offers tennis courts, an outdoor swimming with kiddie pool, a sand volleyball court, and a basketball court. The clubhouse features an indoor swimming pool and spa, exercise room, and ping pong. The community is also built around the "salt pond", one-hundred acres of protected salt water.
Our unit features two large bedrooms on the first floor, one with a queen-sized bed, dresser, and cable TV, the second has two twin beds with trundles, dresser, and sliding doors that walk out to a large deck that overlooks the 15th green. The two bedrooms share a full bath. The laundry room, with washer and dryer, is also on the first floor.
The second floor has a master bedroom with a queen-sized bed, dresser, cable TV, and DVD player. It also has a separate sitting room with a day bed and trundle. The master bathroom has double sinks and a large stand-up shower. Also on the second floor, is a half bath, dining area (seats 10-12 people), great room with vaulted ceilings, and french doors that walk out to a large deck (with an outdoor table, umbrella, and eight chairs). The great room has a gas fire place, cable TV, stereo, DVD player, with an extensive DVD library. In addition, on the second floor there is a well-equipped kitchen and breakfast bar.
The third floor features a full bath, walk-in closet, dresser, two day beds with trundles, cable TV, DVD and Karaoke system (with Karaoke library), a built-in home-theatre system, and a separate zone heating and cooling system.
For your convenience and pleasure, we've tried to add all the little things that make your stay more enjoyable, such as in the garage you'll find at least eight bicycles of all sizes for the whole family and an electric pump (I hate the little hand ones), an extra refrigerator to fit all the drinks, a stand-up freezer -- just because, six-eight beach chairs, a wooden umbrella that won't blow away, beach toys (so you'll have extra space when packing the car), and boogie boards. There are also four kayaks available, with plenty of life jackets. The outdoor shower is private, sunny, and has a changing area inside. The gas grill has two extra full tanks, for your convenience. You'll find laundry detergent in the laundry room. The house is stocked with plenty of linens, towels, blankets, and pillows and the mattresses won't hurt your back.
Bethany Beach is known as the quiet beach, but offers great restaurants, boardwalk with ice cream shops, souvenir shops, and the usual beach gear.
Bethany Beach is located in between Rehobeth Beach and Ocean City, Rehobeth 12 miles to the North, with its boardwalk, amusement parks, fine dining, and outlets. There is no sales tax in Delaware. Ocean City has high-rise condos, miniature golf courses, and tremendous boardwalk and amusement park. For serious golfing, there are many championship courses within a 45 minute drive.
