  This property is fantastic: clean, spacious, and located in a quiet neighborhood just a 5 minute walk from the bustle of S. Congress. The back deck provided the perfect spot to unwind after hectic SXSW days, and the bikes were a godsend. Highly recommended!

  We had a great time staying at this house! It is totally updated inside, has a great back porch, and has everything you could need - corkscrew! bikes! - as well as a great location just off South Congress. I walked to the nearby Magnolia Cafe both mornings of our stay for breakfast. We had great weather, and even walked to 6th Street for dinner - less than 2 miles from the house, and definitely a great walk to check out Soco shops, Bat Bridge, and great Austin landscape heading into downtown. We - including our dogs - will definitely stay here again the next time we need a house in Austin!

  We just loved this special place. Great stylish space and oh so comfortable from wonderful beds to yummy French Press to gourmet shower wash! Wonderful neighborhood and very close to the best parts of Soco! We will definitely choose this lovely home away from home again.

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  We were lucky enough to snag this beautifully serene house for our week long Christmas vacation in Austin. To say that the pictures do not do it justice is an understatement! Everything you could possibly need is provided and of good quality. The house is surprisingly spacious and the backyard and deck wonderfully comfortable. Even though Austin is a great "foody" city, we did cook in Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and the kitchen was fully equipped. Fabulous location, charming neighborhood, walking distance to everything wonderful that Austin has to offer. Chris was great to work with--extremely fast in his replies to any and all inquiries we had. We travel with a large dog and many times houses that we rent because of the dog are less than desirable in terms of cleanliness or amenities. That was certainly NOT the case with this lovely home. Everything was spotlessly clean, there was a very thoughtful baby gate to keep him in the back end of the house on the rare occasion when we went out without him. He loved exploring Stacy Park--just around the corner--but was most content curled up on the deck with us in the evenings. We have stayed in a number of places in Austin now that our son lives here and this was without a doubt our favorite. I just hope that we'll be able to reserve it again in time for next Christmas!

  Loved everything about this house and the location. Very easy walk to South Congress where you will find shopping and dining. Grocery store a very short drive away.. enclosed yard and great deck . TV, Computer, Printer all worked perfectly. It was nice not to have to bring my laptop along. The house was clean, roomy and everything was provided ! I would absolutely stay here again.. Chris is great, had no issues what so ever .. Great Austin Experience ..

  This rental is a great find! I will be using it as a base in Austin often. The location is great because it is so close to South Congress. We were able to leave the car at the house for most of our stay - and in Austin not having to find parking is huge. The house was very comfortable and well appointed. I appreciated how well equipped the kitchen was. I did not need to buy or bring any of the normal utensils or tools that are usually lacking in a rental. I had all of the pots, pans, dishes and utensils I needed to prepare meals. Just like home. The beds were very comfortable and also well appointed with good sheets, pillows and blankets (including extras). The bathroom was well stocked with towels, paper and a hairdryer, etc. The owner was very nice and was very accommodating and helpful. I highly recommend this Home Away rental and will be renting again.

  This is a wonderful house with modern updates and plenty of space. The owners have provided everything you could possibly need to make you feel at home. We loved the quiet "Soco" location. Within a few minutes you can easily walk to all South Congress has to offer. The private fenced in back yard with bbq grill and table and chairs is a great place to relax and unwind after a fun day of exploring the town on bicycles provided by the owners. Oh and did I mention clean, this house is spotless. We loved our stay at this charming bungalow and we'll definitely stay here again on our next trip to Austin.

  My family, including a three year-old, four month-old, chihuahua, my husband and myself felt quite at home during our stay here. Plenty of room and comfortable beds. The location cannot be beat with a quick walk to SoCo. Chris was great to work with and very quick to respond. We will definitely be staying here when we are back in Austin.

  You can not beat this location--walk everywhere in SoCo--yet the house is on a quiet street. It is a cute little place with plenty of room and nice furnishings. Even with just one bathroom, it is designed for comfort with 4 or more. The fenced yard is perfect for a dog. The owner is very nice, quick to respond, and attentive to detail. You'll be happy you stayed here.

  We were pleasantly surprised to find this clean, comfortable, charming home a great alternative to a traditional hotel room during a weekend getaway with family. Chris was quick to respond to emails and phone calls, and was easy to work with. The house seems newly remodelled and is more attractive in person than in the pictures. Spacious living room allowed for all four of us to kick back and relax. Beds and linens were comfortable. There is a great supply of cooking equipment and a grill with a nice patio for outdoor dining. The house comes with 2 bikes which were a nice bonus since the house is only 4 blocks off the ever-popular South Congress. We'll definitely stay here again during future visits to Austin.
