Nestled on a private one-acre wooded lot offering inspirational view of the mountains and slopes of the WISP Mountain Ski Report in Deep Creek, Maryland, this exquisite light cedar log chalet is elegantly decorated and appointed, with 4 bed rooms, 3 full baths, cedar paneling on all the walls and ceilings throughout the house, hickory cabinets in the fully equipped kitchen with green granite counter tops. It boasts a magnificent Great Room with a 25 ft ceiling, maple flooring, 2 floor-to-ceiling stack stone gas fire places, ceiling fans in all the rooms, central air conditioning, a 7' slate pool table, hot tub for 7, TV/DVD's in all the rooms including a large plasma TV in the Rec Room.
A Wispful Dream is located about 1/2 mile from Deep Creek Lake and Wisp Resort on a one acre wooded lot, on the north side of the lake, off of Rt. 219, close to the Garrett County Visitor Center. Nearby are shopping, restaurants, and all the attractions of the County. A short 5-minute walk brings you to the grocery store, local gift shop, and video rental. You can take a morning walk to breakfast down the private road for breakfast at Perkins Restaurant :-)
Sports and adventure activities for kids of all ages are just minutes away at the Wisp Ski Resort. We are about 2/3 mile and 2-3 minutes away from Wisp. You can see the slopes from the front of our house :-) And we're close to the State Parks. At FunLand and at Smiley's which are just 1-2 minutes away are all sorts of games, go-carts, bumper cars, rock climbing, miniature golf, arcade games, which is where our nieces and nephews play! And of course you have to go to the top of Wisp to the new Adventure Sport Center to take the white water rafting course. Great fun! And now you also have to go on the new Mountain Coaster at Wisp! For antique lovers, there are plenty of unique places to go antique shopping.

In the picture is the long driveway on the property that leads to the 4 car parking behind the house. The house is one of 4 houses on a quiet cul du sac.
The four bedrooms include 1 King bed on the 2nd floor, 2 queen bedrooms on the 1st floor and 1 queen size bedroom on the lower level. There is also a queen size sleeper sofa in the rec room.

My family and I enjoyed a great week at Deep Creek. This house was in excellent condition and was very family friendly - plenty of space for the family yet room for getting away from it all if you wanted. What you see in the advertisement is what you get. No surprises with this unit and/or this rental/real estate agency. We were treated well.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, adventure seekers.

“ A Wispful Dream” became reality when we stepped foot into your beautiful home during spring break. We traveled several hours with 3 kids to meet their grandmother here and spend a relaxing week together. We woke up Easter morning to find brightly colored eggs scattered all over the driveway and around the yard. The weather was so perfect we were able to take our 3 year old son skiing on the slopes at Wisp. The children enjoyed walks around the neighborhood and to the local stores. Everything we needed was within a few mile radius making this a completely stress-free vacation.The house is a perfect dream. The floor plan made the house cozy without sacrificing comfort. From the moment we arrived we all felt welcomed, you paid attention to detail and kept in mind not only leisure but wrapped it up with all the conveniences of home.Thank you for playing a role in creating a memory for our family to treasure and hopefully pass on for years to come.Did you find this review helpful? We couldn't think of a better place to spend my husband's 40th Birthday. What a beautiful home! Everything was so comfortable and so nicely decorated, we felt like this was home away from home! Our daughter and her friend spent most of their time searching for salomanders, and our son played his first game of scrabble. We would love to come back again... We sure enjoyed our "girls weekend" at your wonderful home. The gas fireplaces were a luxury - instant cozy! We've all been to Deep Creek before in all different seasons. Winter has been very relaxing- sipping wine by the fire after a hike on the frozen lake, eating, playing games and laughing a lot! Your home is very well equipped and nice and clean. Our families came together from Texas and Maryland to spend the weekend together and we had a fantastic time.
