  • We have stayed at The Suite at Cloudforest 3 times and will stay there many more times! The first thing that you notice is that the view from the front deck is exactly what you see in the picture on their web site. The location is ideal in that you have the wonderful view of the Blue Ridge plus you are a short drive from Blowing Rock which is one of the most unique towns in North Carolina. The landlady is such a wonderful host who makes your stay a great experience. Cloudforest has 2 things that we really enjoy: Disk TV so we can keep up with sporting events while we are there and WIFI which allows us to stay connected. A real bonus this trip was the Mama Deer and her 2 babies who entertained us each morning grazing right outside our deck!

  • High above the puffy, white clouds above Blowing Rock, overlooking the national forest, is an enchanted, peaceful place surrounded by a lush forest laced throughout with rhododendrons. I stayed here in July 2009 and enjoyed every minute of it. For anyone visiting the high country of NC I highly recommend a stay at Cloud Forest.
