  This condo complex is a well-appointed unit with one of the most awesome garden/ocean views I have ever been privileged to experience. The lanai and sliding glass doors also face west for the gorgeous sunset views. The grounds are meticulously kept and groomed with a massive monkey pod tree for shade, plumeria trees for amazing scents and wonderful landscaping. The pool area is rarely crowded; it was clean, had lounge chairs and tables and the pool was the perfect temperature. The barbecues actually work well and picnic tables grace a front row seat to waves nearly lapping at your feet. This complex is right on the beach, not minutes away, not across the street, right on Sugar Beach, named for the sand’s texture, with an outdoor shower conveniently located. The unit itself was clean and comfortable for one to two people. A Murphy bed, which easily folds away during the day, was perfect. The full kitchen had every thing you needed for full meals, smoothies, snacks, or not. The granite counters were awesome. The remodeled bathroom had a very roomy shower and the washer-dryer was indispensable for me. There was a more than adequate ceiling fan and an AC that was never really needed. The ocean location provided the trade wind breezes. Television was provided by satellite on a nice flat screened TV with even a HBO channel, along with internet, WiFi connection and other electronic devices I am ignorant about. In my opinion, this unit had everything I was looking for and more. It was located conveniently between Kihei and Lahaina, a few minutes to Kahalui and the airport, easy access to Paia, Hana, Haiku, and all shopping. I loved the place and the management was friendly and helpful. My only negative was there was more road noise than I was used to but I stayed there more than two weeks and the positives more than won me over.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

  Our first time in unit which was a studio. The unit is very tastefully furnished and provided us with all the comforts we could have wanted during our stay. This complex is a small one of 50 units. It is ocean front, but has great views of the West Maui Mountains, which we also love. It has a beautiful beach that is great for walking or sunning, but also has a large grassy area for those who don’t want to be bothered by the grit of the sand on the beach. There is a very nice picnic area complete with tables and grills and a pool for taking a refreshing dip. The grounds, pool and picnic area are always clean and well kept. It is obvious there is pride of ownership going on there. Bottom line, we looked around, but couldn’t find anything that fulfilled all of our desires in an ocean front condo like this place does!

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+.

  Aloha! Yes, we really use that word here, and deliver a lei with a kiss on both cheeks – an honor to give and to receive. Maui No Ka Oi! (Maui is the best!) I lived on the island of Maui for several years, until meeting my husband – a “mainlander”. Knowing the island and so many of the fabulous spots we could get married & escape for our honeymoon, I chose - no contest, my friend Lydia’s condominium: Kealia Resort, on South Maui’s “Gold Coast”. Lydia has accomplished an amazing and most tasteful transformation of a simple studio apartment, into a get-away retreat, with chic island décor, fully furbished for your enjoyment & spotlessly clean – for your 4 Star experience. You will not regret your choice. The north view from your lanai is of the mystic West Maui Mountains. To the west – well, you see the spectacular “Big Blue”, inviting you down for a swim. Our wedding was held on the manicured, tropical grounds of Kealia, where Sugar Beach literally goes on for miles, and is practically your own private beach, away from the crowds. People always ask us if our wedding portrait was taken in front of a back drop. It certainly WAS! The organic, genuine article! I can’t say enough about the unforgettable visit you will have, calling this condo “home”, during your stay, except for maybe one more thing: No matter how long you stay, it will not be long enough… Maui No Ka Oi! Kealia No Ka Oi!
