Walk off Galena Street and up the black-diamond steps of this Residence and you'll discover Butler's base camp. Partly intimate, partly European drawing room (with Asian accents), and partly photographic gallery of Butler's famous friends (Hollywood types like Jack Nicholson and Sylvester Stallone, politicos from Jimmy Carter to John McCain), the Residence has catered to a loyal coterie of upscale guests since Butler cobbled it together in 1996.

My family (a group of 9) stayed in 4 rooms at this eclectic hotel. Because the rooms were all situated around the sitting room/lobby, it felt like we were staying in a home. One of our suites had a kitchen with bar and sitting room, which was perfect for having wine and cheese after a day of shopping! Will definitely stay here again when in Aspen.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, pet owners, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

Right in the heart of Downtown Aspen, overlooking the walking strip mall...Beautiful views of Aspen Mountain too. The owner, Terry Butler, is perfectly friendly and helpful with anything I asked of her. The apartment was gorgeous. Decorated with European style and so comfortable and cozy. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone. Best place ever!!!
