ALOHA! Stunning views abound from this spacious and open corner loft unit, at the Papakea Resort. Located less than 50 yards from the ocean, makes this beautifully decorated and remodeled unit almost ocean front. Save and rent directly from owner for quality that you can count on when you arrive.
The Papakea Resort is a tropical oasis on 13 acres of manicured grounds, with a thoroughly Hawaiian atmosphere. It has the largest amount of land of any condominium resort on Maui’s spectacular Kaanapali beach, the only resort with two ocean front pools, two spas and two large 12 hole putting greens. Grounds also include three lighted tennis courts, two shuffleboard courts, two beach cabanas, tranquil koi pools, lush gardens and 12 outdoor barbecues.
Papakea is conveniently located between the Kaanapali and Kapalua world class golf resorts, just minutes away from shops, restaurants and galleries in nearby Lahaina and Whaler’s Village. Walk to the grocery store, delis and other services right across the street. Other restaurants are within walking distance just down the beach.
K-401 is the fourth floor corner top unit, closest to the ocean in the desirable K building, that shelters the lanai from the afternoon sun, but is in a quiet dead end parking lot. An elevator is just a few doors away to the free parking, right outside the building.
A beautiful remodel was recently completed with all new cabinets, granite countertops and tile floors. K-401 was then a model unit on the Papakea Homeowner’s Annual Meeting unit tours for two years. The entire first floor and lanai, has the cool feel of clean tiles, placed in an elegant diagonal pattern. Storage is abundant throughout, with extra closets and dressers. The owners continue to upgrade and maintain the unit EVERY year to sustain the quality guest experience.
Soaring wood cathedral ceilings rise up to the loft, that makes this unit feel like a home rather than just a hotel room. Picketed railings allow light and air to flow through but children under 5 are not recommended, due to dangers inherent in the loft.

Why the Owner Chose Papakea Resort
Maui has always been a magical place for our family, even before we bought the condo. While there are fantastic activities, we mostly just enjoy the relaxing Hawaiian culture, snorkeling, laying around water and dining in a variety of spectacular settings.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Papakea is a beautiful setting for all ages. We bought because Papakea has the rare commodity of land. It's not a typical hotel like high rise facility. There are wonderful beaches in both directions and the putting greens are fun relaxation.
Unit K-401 has the added benefit of wide open spacing. The loft soars high up and the side window contributes to NOT feeling like a cramped hotel room. K-401 feels like somone's home because it is. Having a second floor in the loft just adds to the feeling.

Mike and Cindy are both pharmacists and have two sons, Ryan and Justin and a corgi named Riley. The Maui condo has always been a wonderful second home to gather the family since we now all live in different parts of the country.

We loved staying at Mike and Cindy's condo..it was clean, plenty of room, beautiful views, the location was great, parking right in front....they were such a pleasure to work with...Every morning having coffee on the Lanai...listening to the waves hit the shore...I would think..it doesn't get any better then this.

We just returned from Maui and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Mike was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. The condo was clean and nicely appointed and the view was spectacular. The view from the lanai is breathtaking and we were pleasantly surprised that we enjoyed the same view from the upstairs loft, kitchen and living room as well! We appreciated having coolers in the closet for picnics down to the beach. It was nice having a corner unit on the top floor with vaulted ceilings-spacious for the whole family. We were within walking distance of the grocery store, coffee shop and snorkel gear rental shop. The grounds at Papakea are beautifully landscaped and very well maintained. We really enjoyed our time at the pool as well at the tennis courts. We will definitely recommend this condo to our friends and family. Mahalo!

Mike and Cindy, We just reurned from a 6 night stay at your beautiful condo. I would like to tell future renters that everything you read in the description and the pictures that you see are all right on target. This is a nicely remodeled, top floor, corner unit. The condo is very clean and well maintained.We enjoyed sitting on the lani and just taking in the ocean views. We especially loved the grounds at the Papakea Resort,12 acres of lush tropical, beautifuly groomed grounds. Stores and the farmers market are all within walking distance. We discoverd the new boardwalk, which starts just down the beach at the Honua Kai, very nice to be able to have such a nice long walk available. The owner, Mike Hurst was very quick to respond to e-mails, friendly and courteous. I would definitely recommend this condo and look forward to renting it again.Thank You D.Lott

We have stayed in this condo four years in a row. Its a quiet and very comfortable unit at the Papakea Resort - and it has a sublime view from the lanai. The listing photos are very accurate. The top-floor, corner location of the unit guarantees peace and privacy. It is very obvious that the owners really care for the place. The condo has always been clean and very well stocked upon our arrival. We plan on returning for a fifth time in 2011.

When selecting a vacation condo sight unseen from an online location, it can sometimes be a "shot-in-the-dark". But definitely not with this property as it solves all vacation worries! We absolutely loved everything about it. The condo is beautifully maintained with everything needed to make your vacation perfect. The grounds are lovely, the people are helpful, and the views are breath-taking. It is also in the heart of the action with lots to do close by. Mike and Cindy are so easy to work with and truly have pride in ownership. That only makes their shared second home an oasis for those who rent it from them. Aloha Mike & Cindy: We stayed in your unit K401 from August 10th - 19th. It's always so HARD to leave Maui and have to jump right back into the daily grind! We all just wanted to let you know that we really appreciated being able to stay in your unit at Papakea. It was one of the nicest and well equipped units we have been able to stay in. The view from your unit was just picture perfect and provided the ideal setting for a relaxing vacation. This was the first time we have used the keyless entry system and we were a little hesitant at first. I have to say though that by the second day we were sold. It was great to go to the pool and not have to worry about carrying a key card! I hope we are able to stay in your wonderful home again some time. If you ever need recommendations for future potential renters let us know. We would be happy to tell others about our stay in your wonderful home. I missed the convenience of shopping & restaurants within walking distance. I have stayed in Kaanapali area on previous visits,but this was my first one to stay in a Condo. The beach wasn't as beautiful to lay out on, as Kaanapali. In fact when we arrived there was no beach, the next morning when the tide was out, there was a beach. I did enjoy having a full kitchen available. It made having breakfast like home, I didn't have to get dressed to go out and find a restaurant. The Condo was not central air, and Trade Winds were not as nice, as it was unseaonable hot for this time of year June 7, 2009. There was a window unit, but we were asked by the owners to be mindful of the cost to run the unit, as oil was very expensive. The Condo was equipped with extra's that one would not have thought of, even a cooler for picnics if needed, extra fans to stay cool in the condo etc... If you are looking for isolation this would be a perfect condo, and the view of the ocean from the Lani, was awesome.
