"Smoky Mountain High" is a majestic three level lodge perched on a large (over an acre) private lot with panoramic mountain views perfectly situated on the side of the Appalachians between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Only 3 miles from Dollywood / Parkway and near all the attractions, top restaurants and Smoky Mountain National Park.

As you walk into your private retreat, on the main level you will enter a sun-filled family room with 25' Cathedral Ceiling that is flanked by glass on three sides, and stone fireplace with upscale furnishings. The main level is surrounded by an incredible wrap around deck that has a six person hot tub, porch swing, wood rockers and smoker grill with separate access doors from the kitchen, family room and master suite. Right out from the main level is a beautiful log picnic table area (with supplies) where you can enjoy a picnic lunch and the view!

You will love the four spacious King Suite bedrooms each with beautiful mountain views, deck or balcony access, armoires, cable TV with DVD, CD and VHS players. The "Bear Suite" on the main level has a king bed, private fireplace, direct access to the large six person hot tub and large walk-in closet. Enjoy a cup of coffee and mountain views on the private walkout balconies of the "Moose" and "Gone Fishin'" rooms on the top level. Both beautifully decorated bedrooms have a king bed and vaulted ceilings. The "Moose" room also has a queen inner spring futon. The generous sized lower level king "Adventure" bedroom also has a comfortable inner spring futon.

You may never leave the lower level where you find an oversized game room with pool table, BRAND NEW ARCADE QUALITY AIR HOCKEY, BRAND NEW PING PONG, foosball, darts, poker set and board games. Most cabins have their game room on a loft which makes it difficult for others to enjoy a movie or conversation in the living room or kitcken. Our game room is in the lower level which makes it more quiet for others. Enjoy the big game on the 52 inch wide-screen TV from the sofas or pub table. The sofa is a comfortable queen sleeper. But don't forget to enjoy the views from the windows and another large wrap around deck just off the game room. You will appreciate the private driveway with main and lower level parking for six or more cars to make it easier for a large group. Extend your stay even longer because you can touch base with civilization using your laptop with the FREE WIRELESS HIGH SPEED INTERNET access from every room and porch!

VRBO Bear stayed here - 10/06/2009 “Smoky Mountain High” was the perfect base for our trip to the Smoky Mountains. The four bedrooms with large, comfy beds offered plenty of room for friends and family. Each bedroom had a different animal theme. I, of course, stayed in the “Bear Room.” The whole house was decorated for the fall season which added to the cabin’s homey feeling and comfort.

The wraparound porch and the various decks were great places to sit to enjoy the fresh air and peaceful surroundings. My favorite spots were the swing and the rockers on the front porch. After a long day, the hot tub on the deck was the perfect place to sit and look at the moon and stars. The game room also offered a great place to relax and was very entertaining for adults and cubs alike.

This beautiful cabin was located just a few minutes away from Pigeon Forge and all the area’s local attractions. From amusement parks to museums, there were tons of great activities for the whole family to enjoy. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park was just a short drive from Pigeon Forge and was definitely worth visiting. There were also many great dining options in the area which worked perfectly since we worked up a big appetite after a day of fun. After seeing the sights, we picked out a different restaurant to try each evening. Then, it was just short drive back to the cabin, where we could wind down and relax.
