We were planning a beach vacation to celebrate our 20th anniversary. Due to an unexpected change in circumstances, we found ourselves with only one week to make it all happen. After a long and frustrating search, we found "Sounds Good" on the VRBO site. We made a contact with Mr. Kucera who readily assisted us in making all of the necessary arrangements. We could not have asked for a more pleasant or helpful person to deal with - it seemed more like a transaction between friends than a business deal. The stay at "Sounds Good" was all we were looking for and more. The location is ideal with the back of the duplex overlooking the sound and the front of the duplex facing the ocean - a short walk across the street and over the dunes and you are there. The beauty of the sound is visible from every room - what an awesome sight to wake up to each morning. The sunsets provide another visual feast each evening. It had been our wish to go to a beach that was not commercialized or crowded. When we crossed the dunes, we found that our wish had come true. We walked the beach, enjoying the sights and sounds, and picking up shells. There always seemed to be a gentle breeze blowing. As for the house itself, "Sounds Good" is definitely a home away from home - well appointed but comfortable. It had everything we needed and more - books, games, charts of the tides, the sunrises and the sunsets, information about local stores and restaurants . . . We did do some sightseeing but we were always anxious to get back to the peaceful serenity of the house. It was with regret, that we left this vacation get-a-way after a six day stay. It is with anticipation, that we think of returning.

We had a wonderful two weeks in this beautiful, well maintained, clean beach house. The awesome sunsets over the intercoastal waterway are the best you'll see anywhere. Louis is a great person and very nice to deal with. There is so much to say about Sounds Good, but I would only be repeating what the other renters have all ready said. We will definetly be renting this beach house again.

What a wonderful week we had! Waking up every morning to gorgeous sunrises over the ocean, kayaking all day in the sound and intercoastal waterway from our own private dock and then ending each day relaxing on the dock with a margarita watching some of the most beautiful sunsets we've ever seen. The views are excellent from every window...you don't even need to get off the couch or out of bed to enjoy them! "Sounds Good" was like a home away from home for us (only better). We wanted for nothing. It was very clean and well equipped for all our needs. There was even a crab trap for us to use! The enclosed garage was a big plus for storing the kayaks and keeping our car cool and salt free. We'd recommend "Sounds Good" to anyone that's ready for a memorable vacation! We look forward to our next visit...thank you for sharing it with us Lou! FYI - there are kayak rental shops on the island that will deliver and pick up free of charge if you do not have your own.

We have just returned from our stay at "Sounds Good". We were there for 4 days prior to our son being deployed to Iraq. The place was absolutely wonderful, providing us with plenty of space and everything we needed to make our stay very enjoyable. The view out back is really awesome. We had alot of fun crabbing and fishing off of the dock and the beach was just a short walk away. We were fortunate enough to meet the owners who happened to be staying on their private side of the duplex. Louis and Marti were so friendly and such a pleasure to meet. They were also very helpful in teaching us how to cook and clean crabs. We will definetly be returning to stay at this duplex again in Feb. when our son returns home. "Sounds Good" is in a great location for the beach, a beautiful area and is super clean. I stayed here with 3 sisters and the 3.5 baths were wonderful! The house if very roomy and very well equipped with any kitchen items you might need! This is a very peaceful, relaxing area on a beautiful beach with lots of shells! I hope I am able to return and stay here again! The ONLY disappointment was no cable so trying to watch the news wasn't easy; however, I should have realized that from the info provided so it was no fault of the owner! The owner was easy to contact and quickly respnded with answers to questions we had prior to our stay. I highly recommend "Sounds Good" for a wonderful vacation!
