Location:

The Granite Belt!!

Stretching 60kms from north to south and roughly half as wide, the Granite Belt is small but diverse. Dotted along the New England Highway are our villages and hamlets, with Stanthorpe, the main central town.

Through the region, country lanes wind through vineyards, orchards and the namesake granite boulders which dot the landscape like crazy marbles.

Village life in the Granite Belt is everything you imagined - friendly, quiet and cute. Each village and hamlet has its own style - take the time to explore them.

Great property!
Lovely old house, very comfortable and warm. We had a few family members join us for the weekend and it was great as we didn't feel too much in each other's pockets! We would definitely recommend it and we would love to come back!

A Hidden Gem
We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at Seagoe Homestead. It was warm, spacious and comfortable. The kids loved playing outside in the huge fenced yard and were charmed by the friendly horses in the adjoining paddock. I loved how peaceful this place was, yet so close to Stanthorpe and all the major attractions. I would definitely consider staying here again.

Photos don't do it justice
We stayed at Seagoe as three couples in early June. The photographs don't properly illustrate how homely and comfortable Seagoe is! It was the perfect time of year to enjoy both fireplaces and spend time inside cooking, which we did both nights. We weren't able to use the fire pit due to rain but it looked amazing. Seagoe is on a very quiet property but still a very short drive to the supermarket, cafes, the pub and Granite Belt Brewery. I recommend taking a wine tour. Thank you Terrence.

Comfortable and roomy
My party of 6 stayed here for a long weekend. Great location close to Stanthorpe and in the centre of the wineries. Beds were comfy and the living areas spacious with plenty do seating for us all. Would stay again for sure.

About the host

Host profile image
We purchased Seagoe Homestead as our own weekender in 2012 and to catch up with our extended family & friends in the district, who settled in the Liston area in the 1860s.

Why they chose this property

It is a quiet, rural setting, with plenty of privacy, and only a few minutes to town. It has plenty of character.
