My fiancé and I spent a week at Casa Suenos Dorados and we absolutely loved it! We’ve been to Costa Rica several times but this was the best trip yet! The house is in a small neighborhood of ticos and expats but it’s located about a quarter of a mile down the road where the properties are larger and more spread out giving you privacy without being isolated. We got to become friends with several of the neighbors including Mario (the caretaker of the house) and his family, and Juan (nickname is Columbia) who is a realtor as well as an avid surfer. The maid is named Florey and although she doesn’t speak English, she was extremely kind and helpful. We spent a lot of time surfing and relaxing at Dominical and some of the lesser known surf spots in the area but we also went snorkeling, deep sea fishing, and kayaking near Bahia Ballena. Nothing beats spending a day at the beach and then returning to the house to wash off in the outdoor shower before having dinner outside at the rancho and watching the sunset. The pool is welcoming and has an underwater light which makes it great at night but during the day we would normally walk down a five minute trail through the rainforest to a secluded 30-foot waterfall with a swimming area at the bottom. My wife and I stayed here in April with some friends... awesome house. The weather was gorgeous and the house is neat and well-kept. We really enjoyed the pool (it's always warm) and hanging out on the deck. Walks around the property are also very enjoyable as there is nature all around you. It's a beautiful house, and it's up in the mountains but very close to the beach (we actually went to the beach a lot). The nice kitchen and outdoor grilling area make cooking fun. Grocery store and all the items you need for a wonderful vacation are all within a short drive.
