This cute 3 bedroom, one bath house is in Eastpoint, just across the bridge from St. George Island. It is an older home furnished very nicely. Very roomy, clean, and comfortable, and it's priced right. There is a large kitchen with all the extas. Microwave, dishwasher, stove/oven, blender, coffee maker, mixer, etc. Separate dining room. Large living area with small table for your internet. Cable TV. Separate enclosed porch with sitting area and place for your fishing equipment. Small picnic area in back. Washer and Dryer. Beach towels, coolers, oyster knives. Almost everything you need to make your stay more enjoyable. This is a great place to enjoy for the budget minded, as it's only a few minutes to the beautiful beaches of St. George, walking distance to the fishing pier, and also the public boat launch is less than 2000' away. You are also just across the bridge from historic Apalachicola where the streets are lined with little shops, you can stroll along the bustling waterfront, visit the many beautiful historic homes, enjoy lots of great seafood and restaurants. Also, visit the Dixie Theatre, museums, estuary lab, St. Vincent Wildlife Exhibit, etc.
There is also St. James Bay Golf Cours. The 370-acre golf community is located just east of picturesque Carrabelle. The resort style, 18-hole pay for play golf course, designed by Robert Walker, blends into the natural setting of the environment.
Just minutes from St. James Bay is Carrabelle. Some of the best fresh and saltwater fishing is found here. Apalachicola is a rare find in Florida. Remnants of its colorful and diverse past remain today through its many historic homes and bustling waterfront. Great restaurants and lots of artistic shops are found there.
Fresh seafood is abundant and if you like oysters, Apalachicola Bay oysters are a must!
Also be sure to check out Wakulla Springs and the Marine Specimen lab in Panacea. These are a must if you're bringing the family.
