Teton Timber House, Fantastic Views, Perfect Location
- Minimum stay:3-4 nights

The perfect western style lodge for your family vacation or group. The Teton Timber House is an impressive, five bedroom, four bath home that sleeps up to 14. There are 4 queen size beds in 4 bedrooms in the main house and a double bed and fold out futon in the carriage house giving you 6 private rooms for sleeping.
TTH is the best vacation rental value in Driggs/Grand Targhee Ski area. The location is ideal on Ski Hill Rd. 2.5 miles from downtown Driggs, 6.5 miles from Grand Targhee Ski Area, and 35 miles from downtown Jackson, WY (however the Jackson Hole ski resort is much closer).
Your kitchen is very large and new with an open floor plan connecting to the living rooms, and dining room. There is a large 8-10-seat dining table and a bar area. The home enjoys privacy from all sides and is architecturally designed to absorb maximum natural light with lots of large windows throughout the house. Located on 2.2 acres, the new Teton Timber House has an amazing and enjoyable living flow.
All 4 queen beds and 1 double bed are fitted with 100% cotton high thread count sheets, and the 3 bathrooms all have nice cotton towels as well. There are ceiling fans throughout the house, the floors on the main level are in-floor heated concrete for a great warm feel in the winter while the upstairs bedrooms are carpeted. There are designer, locally made lamps, chairs and artwork throughout the Teton Timber House.
There is Wifi access, a gas fireplace in the living room, a 4-6 seater hot tub, a 2 car garage if needed, and a centrally located washer/dryer. When it comes to outdoor activities there are too many to briefly name - hiking, kayaking, skiing, cross-country skiing, fishing, snowmobile, 3 golf courses, and lots of access to world class fly fishing. We love this area of the country and we know you will too.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your home in Driggs. Driggs is a fun little town, and we loved the huckleberry shakes in nearby Victor! The home was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. There is no 'yard' per se, but our three young boys enjoyed playing in the rocks and wilderness surrounding the house. Everything worked well, and, as much as we tried to unplug, we enjoyed having the convenience of the wifi connection. The house does not have air conditioning, and did get warm in the evenings, even with the windows open and ceilings fans on, especially the 2 upstairs rooms. Perhaps window treatments that cover the windows better can help this, as well as help darken the rooms during the long summer days (young kids have to go to bed earlier than the sun does!). However that was our only "problem" and it was a minor one, and only pertains to the summer season's warm, long days. The mornings were gloriously cool and we reveled in the beauty of the location.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children.

Stunning views of the Tetons! You can’t go wrong with The Teton Timber House. It is super spacious with comfortable beds, modern bathrooms with great water pressure, a large open kitchen, and yes, fabulous views! The location is fantastic. You can’t beat the proximity to Jackson Hole, the local airport for Glider lessons, local Rodeos, great restaurants and everything the area has to offer! It is an ideal location for Forum retreats – close proximity to a wide variety of activities while offering comfortable, spacious and private surroundings for group discussions. Highly recommended and very much looking forward to a return visit!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

What impressed me most was the comfort and convenience. I was there for the outdoors, so I was typically exhausted at the end of my days hiking, biking or fishing. Nice hottub under the stars to unwind, and plenty of kitchen utensils in the house for grilling, cooking, or a quick bite. Beds and bedrooms very comfy cozy. Short drive to town for bike rental. This place was very enjoyable - I'd recommend it to someone who wants a comfortable home-like feel.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

WOW, what a great house. The views of the Tetons, while relaxing in the back yard were breathtaking, and the Big Sky was second to none. The house was extremely comfortable and very clean. It was convenient to Jackson Hole, Yellowstone, Jenny Lake, and Bear world, but offered plenty of activities and eating within minutes. One can't beat meeting Real American Cowboys! I plan on returning to take advantage of the home's proximity to the best powder skiing in the U.S.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Loved to visit the Teton Timber House. The home is very welcoming and has plenty of space for a large family. The views are spectacular and Driggs is a short distance up the road, close enough to ride the bikes. We would definitely visit again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

A spacious, clean house just down the road from downtown Driggs. Convenient to many activities; skiing, hiking, horseback riding and much, much more. When not doing the many activities available, a quiet place to just relax, read and take in the view. Good restaurants. Would definitely go back.Did you find this review helpful? Wow!!! What views for both sunrise coming over the Tetons (into the bedroom window!) to sunset in the valley. We just don't have views like this back East. Loved how comfortable the house made everyone feel. We felt at home and relaxed. The hot tub was a bonus! The kids loved using the apartment to watch movies and hang out, which allowed the parents to get some zzzzs! We look forward to coming back for ski season.Did you find this review helpful? Fantastic floor plan, great for kids--high chair a bonus! Hot tub under Teton stars was memorable. Fifteen minutes from Targhee, five minutes from breakfast in Driggs. Great home base location for skiing, hiking, biking, golf, or just relaxing. We'll be back.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Great place in a great location. Comfortable, well appointed, and convienient. Breathtaking views from all sides of the house -- during the day and at night when it feels like you can reach up and grab the stars and moon. The Teton Timber House was in a perfect locale - minutes from the mountains or the town. Driggs is a really neat town - growing but still with lots of character. I look forward to my many return visits.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

I would rate the experience a 10! The view was incredible, especially while sitting in the hot tub with a beverage after a 5 hour hike. The house was great. Very spacious, comfortable beds, large open kitchen, lots of couches, movies on DVD, great water pressure, plenty of dishes and glasses, etc. The proximity to hiking, horseback trail riding, the airport for glider lessons, mountain biking, fishing, restaurants and bars was immediate. We also ventured over to Jackson Hole one night and it took a little more than a 1/2 hour. I will definitely be staying at Teton Timber House again!Did you find this review helpful? Owner info
Year Purchased: 2007
About the owner: The Davis' live in Atlanta, GA and enjoy biking, swimming, golf, karate and soccer. Nancy grew up in New Jersey and attended Rutgers U.. Dee grew up in Mississippi and attended U. of MS.
Why the Owner Chose Driggs:
We love the friendly people and great open outdoors of the Teton Valley area and have been back every year for the past 6 years. We happened upon the area by accident when Dee accidentally left his wallet at the Links at Teton Peaks golf course (while staying in Jackson, WY) and had to go back the next day to retrieve it. There was an epiphany moment, 'Wow, I like this area better than Jackson Hole!'
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The Teton Timber House is has a great open flow to the house which makes staying there so easy. Another benefit that we really enjoy is lots of large windows bringing in natural light from various directions all through the house. This is rare for the valley. Having 4 queens in 4 bedrooms allows for some major comfort of large parties. The carriage house is a nice little bonus space.
