Sunset Beach house description
Guests at the Beachfront House will enjoy ocean and sunset views, cooling tradewinds, and the shade of the swaying palms that line the property. The large, partially shaded deck is ideal for outdoor dining, checking the surf, or soaking up the sun. In addition, a far deck is set at the lawn's edge with even better views of the Pacific Ocean. Across the 30 foot lawn, steps lead down to the miles and miles of white sand beach in either direction.
Perfect for three couples, a family (possibly two), or a group of friends, the 'Whitesand Beachfront House' is a cozy, peaceful retreat that sleeps up to eight. It is an incredible spot for the outdoor enthusiast, and the leisure buff.
The interior of the home is simple, yet luxurious. Most of the rooms are furnished with unique Hawaiian pieces, creating an exotic, yet modern environment. The kitchen was designed to be functional and spacious with a large island, top-of-line appliances, and easy-to-clean granite countertops. It opens into the living room and is often the focal point of activity - a great feature if you plan to eat in a lot.
The upstairs (master) bedroom is perfect for the small family, with a King siz bed and a Queen-size pull out bed as well as a private bath. The downstairs bedroom has a Queen-size bed. The third bedroom is a large 20' x 20' bedroom complete with King-size bed, and a Queen pull out bed, a private bath, kitchenette, and it's own entry door.

We just returned from our first visit to Oahu and rented this beautiful beach house from Pete who was super easy to work with. We knew from the moment we arrived that we made a great choice. Very well kept and clean with everything we needed. We traveled with two other couples and everyone had their own space and we never felt like we were on top of each other. The location is perfect between Foodland and Ted's Bakery, where we ate 3 times. Also a short drive to both Haliewa and Turtle Bay. One thing we did not consider which turned out to be a pretty big deal is that there is parking for at least 3 or 4 vehicles, gated and secured parking. The kitchen accomodations were very nice and the deck off the back is where we spent most of our time. Awesome views and very secluded beach area. If you're considering this property, you will not be disappointed, we highly recommend it and we will be back, One thing to keep in mind is that there is AC in the upstairs Master and the family room, the other rooms really depend on the trade winds and can get quite warm during the day. All in all...5 stars from our group. Thanks Pete!!!

Great house, strongly consider it if looking!
Great house, strongly consider it if looking!
Exactly as you see it. Great location, beach was uncrowded, great snorkeling, boogie boarding. The deck over looking the beach is very nice, a lot of time was spent sitting there watching the ocean. Saw dolphins swimming (jumping!) by, aways out. Later in the week as the waves got a little bigger it was fun watching the surfers right out front. Clean newer house, some of the other houses we've rented, while nice as well, were a little older. Air conditioning a plus (main rooms). Water toys to use (we left some as well). The bikes were fun the bike path right there by the house. Grocery store very close, Ted's bakery just down the road, Shark's Cove.... I'm rambling...rent it, you won't be sorry.

The perfect place
The perfect place
This house beat all of my expectations! I have been coming to the North Shore for about 10 years and wanted to try something different than where I had been staying. I wanted something that was family friendly and oceanfront. Pete's house was perfect. We have a 6 year old and a 3 year old. My wife and I enjoyed sitting on the outside deck while the 6 year old played in the sand below and the 3 year old played in the protected, fenced in yard. The house is convenient to all of the North Shore attractions such as Shark's cove and Pipeline and an easy drive to Turtle Bay. The house is as it appears in the online pictures and the owner, Pete, was exceedingly easy to work with. I really have no concerns and we are all looking forward to coming back again in the future.

AMAZING....that is all my family could say when we walked in to this home. We felt at home the minute we walked in and never wanted to leave. We enjoyed watching the whales jumping out of the water while eating breakfast on the patio. We went to Waimea falls, Turtle Bay, Ted's and Haleiwa for some Matsumoto's shaved ice and we were never in the car long because this house has an amazing location. Pete ,the owner, was so wonderful to work with. We can't wait to return to this wonderful home!!!!

We just returned from our awesome trip to the North Shore. This house is so amazing! The inside is well equipped, very nicely furnished and well kept. The best part of this house, however is the deck overlooking the beach. We sat out there all day long! You couldn't ask for a better view! We happened to be there during a time with huge waves and it was amazing to sit and watch them roll in. What a site! Pete was great to work with and very personable! Thanks for a great time at the house. Can't wait to go back!!!

WHAT A VIEW!!!!
WHAT A VIEW!!!!
My husband, mother and I were lucky enough to stay at this beautiful home for 5 nights in April. Wow, what a beautiful home! And the View! The location is perfect, directly on the beach. We spent many hours on the shaded viewing platform watching surfers, beach combers, children and dogs playing on the beach. The sunset from this perch was fabulous. The home was neat and tidy. The kitchen was well stocked and had miles of counter space. We ejnoyed breakfast each morning on the patio. The living room (although rarely used) was spacious with comfortable island furniture and TV. The downstairs bedroom was conveniently located with a large bathroom with washer and dryer. The upstairs master bedroom was very large with a big screen TV, sleeper sofa and a beautiful view of Sunset Beach. We didn't need the air conditioner, the trade winds kept the home very cool. We loved the sound of the roaring waves at night. There was a thrid bedroom suite with its own kitchenette and bath as well. Finding the home was easy with directions provided. Great location, Foodland just down the street next to Shark's Cove Grill. Easy drive to Haleiwa and the Polynesian Cultural Center. Beach supplies galore were located in the basement, we wanted for nothing! Pete the owner was great to work with, our deposit check was already received when we returned home. I would highly recommend this home! If I ever have the opportunity to visit Hawaii again, I will definately rent this home again!

The Best House
The Best House
We have stayed at many VRBO houses and this was the best. The property was very clean, well maintained & private. The kitchen was the most well equipped we have seen. The furniture was comfortable and the house suited three couples perfectly. We enjoyed many hours on the large deck and even more on the smaller deck overhanging the beach. It was perfect for watching the surf, surfers and sunsets. I guess we were the beneficiaries of Barb & friends because there was a nice assortment of beach chairs for our use. I would definitely recommend this house. As others have mentioned, a couple of musts are Giovanni's shrimp truck, Ted's Bakery and the best shave ice in all of Hawaii at Matsumotos in Haleiwa.

We recently returned from a 2-week stay at your house. We can't wait to go back. We were a group of friends, with adults & kids, & the house is set up perfectly with the sofa's in the larger rooms. It's spacious enough that you can have privacy, but the great room is nice for dinner or just hanging out. I can't say enough how much we enjoyed the surf check deck, for evening cocktails or reading in the morning. The lawn is great for kids to play on. The location is perfect, we biked everywhere, to Waimea for the kids to swim, Ted's for breakfast, Foodland, or just to stretch our legs. The only negatives would be traffic noise, which is ever present on the Kam Hwy & a lack of beach supplies. We payed it forward with several beach chairs & some snorkel gear, so future guests can enjoy those.

This house is amazing. It is perfect for a family get together and the location can't be beat. It's better than the pictures and Pete (the owner) is very easy to work with. We loved our time there and we will be back. Thanks for opening your house to us Pete!

An amazing time!!
An amazing time!!
It's been a week since we returned for Hawaii and we are already planning our trip for next year!! We love this home! You couldn't ask for a better location...you are right on the beach, you can walk to the grocery store, it's a short walk to Shark's Cove where you can snorkel and wade around the tide pools with your little ones, great surf in every direction...everything is right there!! The home was perfect for our family...it was so easy to let my son run around on the grass and not worry about him wandering down the walkway to the beach. Inside was gorgeous, the home had everything we needed we didn't have to worry about anything, it was all so easy. We enjoyed our stay so much and will for sure be coming back EVERY year. We love it!
