Magnificent one level waterfront home, with the private beach walkway at the front door and the Bay with the inter-coastal waterway at the back door, you can have the perfect winter hideaway, or vacation spot. Whether it is enjoying the Gulf, fishing or boating in the Bay or just relaxing in the pool, it is all here for your enjoyment.
Take long beach walks looking for shells or sharks teeth or just relax on your own romantic beach. Catch unbelievable sunsets over the aqua waters of the Gulf, and watch for that 'flash' of green as the sun goes down.
You can watch the smallest of boats to the largest of mega-yachts pass by the house on the Bay, as they travel the waterway daily.
Location/Description : Casey Key is an 8 mile barrier island located on the west coast of Florida about 15 miles south of Sarasota. The beaches are refreshingly natural, with protected wild sea oats and mangroves providing a protective habitat for the many native birds that share the Island. Dolphins, manatees, sea turtles, and other aquatic wildlife can also be seen on this magnaficent barrier Island.
The majority of the Island is a conservation district. There are NO high rises, or mobs of tourists to disturb your relaxation. When walking the beach, you may see one or maybe two other people on the beach. It is very private, with no public access to this beach were we are.
Recreational Activities: Rent a boat and explore the local waterways, picnic on a secluded island, parasail, windsurf,or jet ski. The BayLady has sightseeing tours of the area from the water. Oscar Scherer State Park has nature trails and kayaking. Board a Dolphin Watch Cruise, or go to the Mote Marine Wildlife Center. Deep sea charter fishing or a sunset cruise on the Bay with dinner and music are also things to do.
Attractions for the kids include: G Wiz Childrens Museum, Jungle Gardens, Pelican Man's Bird Sanctuary, Planet Fun, Pirates Cove, Busch Gardens or Disney.

We recently returned from a two week stay in this beautiful home. When we arrived the home was clean and welcoming. The location was perfect for us (party of 3 senior couples). The layout of the bedrooms provided privacy with two bedrooms on either side of the living room and the ensuite bathrooms between the bedrooms. It was so private and quiet having no houses on either side. We spent a lot of time on the covered screened deck.The jetty was perfect for the fisherman amongst us. He supplied fish for dinner on a number of occasions.The photographers enjoyed the sunrise over the bay and the sunset over the Gulf. The beach was a short walk with access just across the road.The beach was very quiet. We saw no more than four other people on the beach the whole time we were there. One of our favorite pass times was checking for new turtle nests each morning. There were a couple of small issues but the owner,Tim, took care of them promptly. Casey Key is a very quiet upmarket residential island. There are no shops on the Island but Walmart and a CVS Pharmacy were just a short drive away which covered most of our needs. We did not eat out very often so cannot comment on the nearby restaurants. We would certainly recommend this vacation home for groups traveling together or large families and can't wait to return.
