We hastily looked to book a trip to Maui in January of 2012. We have two kids under 7 and it would be our first time to Maui. I had never used VRBO before and was a bit skeptical. Susan made the entire process easy and painless. She worked with us as our days fluctuated and was near immediate in her responses to questions or send out paperwork. The unit was self was just right for a family and made it so much earlier then staying at a hotel. We had a late check in and that was a snap. Everything was clean and in order. The unit was stocked with everything a family could need for a day at the beach or to take care of laundry and the like back at home. The rear lanai was in a great location which allowed the kids to run around a bit before we headed out for the day or walked the 50 feet over to the waterfall filled pool. During our time at the unit I emailed Susan a few times and she was almost immediate in a response or a phone call to help us out. These were just small things and we had nothing even close to an "issue". The entire complex was quiet, clean and filled with people who were very helpful. We will be staying at one of Susan's unit's again and likely on a regular basis.

Paridise at K103

This was our eighth visit to Maui and eighth stay at Maui Kamaole. We have also been fortunate to stay in both of the Simpson families units K109 and K103. Both are very lovely units. Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen and all the gear for the beach. First day in the unit is always followed with a phone call from Susan Simpson to ensure all is as expected and there are no problems. Now that is a truely classy touch. The property itself is very well maintained with beautiful landscaping, two pools and many bbq's. Maui Kamaole will not disappoint. We will be booking agin next year with the Simpsons!

Hi Mark & Susan, Just wanted to say thanks for your wonderfully equipped condo. We left in a hurry yesterday morning and I ran out of time to sign your guestbook. We so appreciated all the beach equipment and really enjoyed your beautiful decor & very comfy set-up there right by the pool. Things we did which we especially enjoyed were a Kai Kanani snorkel and turtle tour (really great people and catamaran which left right off from the Makena/Wailea Beach Club...such a beautiful setting and very well-priced, Pacfic Whale Foundation's whale watch where we saw a full body breach right in front of our boat one morning, the Old Lahaina Luau, and Warren & Annabelle's Magic Show. My kids loved paddleboarding right off Kam 2, and my son did the sunrise bike ride down the mountain with Cruiser Phil and had a wonderful time with that

My wife and myself found the accomodations were excellent! Very close to the pool, hot tub area. There were always chairs available at poolside (pool was excellent). Inside the condo was modern appliances and it was very spacious for us. The facility is just across the road from the ocean which was also handy. The best part for us was all the lucious Trees, flowers etc. at Maui Kamaole. We will definately return.

Better than home, away from home

Three weeks in this unit just not long enough. The unit exceeded our expectations; comfortable, well decorated and equipped and in a botanical garden-like setting. Pictures posted of the unit on -line do not do it justice. The unit included everything we needed for a great holiday, information, toys, even the thoughtfully provided "Road to Hana" CD. Lots of effort and thought put into this unit for the comfort of its guests, even to the welcome phone call from the owner on our arrival day. Will definitely not hesitate recommending this unit to friends and family.

Great place for families

We just spent three weeks at k103 and found the place to be very very clean and well loved by the owners which is always a good sign. It's super close to the tropical pool which was nice for the kids to be able to hop over for a swim anytime. There were beach toys, boogie boards, towels, chairs... Everything you need right there. We'd walk down to the Kam lll beach to watch the sunset and drive to a different beach every day. Great location.

Maui Kamaole Condo

My wife and I have been vacationing in Maui for over 30 years and Maui Kamaole has become our favorite place to stay. The tropical pool is very pretty and relaxing. Its a short walk to the beaches and right next to Wailea hotels and golf courses. This unit is decorated to the hilt and the bed is very comfortable. I would diffinitily stay here again.

This place is well appointed and clean, our stay there was awesome. Lots to do or not to do if you just want to relax. The Pools are nice as well as the very nearby beaches and snorkel spots. I will recommend this condo to anyone visiting Maui.

K-103 a little bit of Paradise

We just returned to Alaska from a wonderful two weeks in Maui. This is our second time renting from Mark and Susan. Again we were very pleased with the condo. It is very clean and well stocked with everything you may need. We love the privacy of K-103. One of our favorite things to do is to sit outside and eat all our meals. The tropical plants and birds are lovely. K-103 is also close to some fantastic beaches good for snorkling, buggie boarding and long walks. Susan and Mark's condos have truely become our home away from home. We will definately return again in the future.Thank you Susan for your quick responses to my emails. We have been home for about three weeks now and while the tans are fading, our memories of Maui and this awesome condo are still fresh. I can highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a bit of peace and quiet close to beaches and shopping. The website pictures are accurate (actually the suite is even nicer than the pictures). The grounds and pool were clean and very well maintained. Susan phoned early in our stay to check in with us and see how we were getting on (an appreciated, personal touch). We had all the extra amenities we needed (blender, coffee grinder, beach stuff). We look forward to returning next year for another vacation.

We have rented through VRBO many times and knew we had made a very good decision with renting K103. From the beginning Susan and Mark were great to work with. Their condo shows their hard work and dedication to makeing your holiday as comfortable and pleasant as possible. Everything is spotlessly clean and they have thought of everything to make you feel at home. Even a hair straightner! Even a Foodland save on card attached to the condo keys, which made grocery shopping an ease. When we come back to Maui we would definetly choose K103. We just returned from a one month stay at Susan and Mark's beautiful K103 condo. The unit is well stocked with paper and cleaning supplies. We ate most of our meals in the condo. The condo is well equipped with cooking utensils and the BBQs are nearby. Susan is always so helpful with bookings and the unit is always clean and tidy. Boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrella and cooler are available for use on beach days. The lanai has a lovely table and chais, perfect for eating breakfast and lunch. If you are planning a trip to Maui,I highly recommend renting from Susan and Mark. Staying in either Unit K109 or K103 will make your vacation worry free.

Following a brief stay on Oahu and Kauai we met friends on Maui after Christmas and over New Years. This was our second trip to Maui and our first stay at Maui Kamaole. From the day we started talking with Susan and Mark over email in search for a place to stay we had a very good feeling about them. They were very quick to reply, answered our questions and provided us with additional information about Maui which exceeded our expectations. We ended up staying in K103 and what you see online is what you get. The unit was very clean, up to date (even with some brand new furniture!) and the unit was very well stocked in every room and offered what we needed for the beach (boogie boards, beach chairs, grass mats, snorkel gear, etc). During our stay we received an invite from Susan and Mark to view the K109 unit prior to our departure since our vacations overlapped – of course we took the opportunity and again were very impressed with K109. Both units are close to the pool and the grounds are immaculate! We enjoyed our very comfortable stay and hope to return to either unit in the future!

We stayed in K103 for 9 nights in September and absolutely loved it! The unit was very private and quite - even with the pool just over the bushes. The unit really is close to that teriffic upper pool. We found the registration and check out to be easy and without incident. Susan and Mark were the best to work with - we felt their prices were very reasonable and they have everything in the unit to make your stay even better - if you need something else just ask. We loved Maui Kamoale so much that we've just decided to come to Maui over Christmas and New Years and will be staying there again - just not in this unit since it's already taken. If you like to walk, there is quick access to beaches and restaurants and there is a path leading down to Kihei road, very managable. Fred's has the best prices for morning Mary's and you can't beat the food! Or walk the beach upto the Marriot and cut through to eat at Longhi's in the Wailea mall. Beautiful!

We loved Maui (and K103) so much last year, that we decided that we had to come back this year. Coming back to K103 was like coming back home. Thank you again for a wonderful 2 week stay. K-103 was absolutely amazing! We were there for our honeymoon, and this place provided such peace and relaxation, not to mention, it just felt like home. It was so great having access to a full kitchen with appliances, a refrigerator to store groceries in, tv's in both living room and bedroom etc. The boogie board DEFINITELY came in use too :) The scenery you are surrounded by is just absolutely beautiful with all of the different flowers. After staying here, there is NO WAY we could've possibly stayed in or even want to stay in a hotel. Why do that when you can have it all at K-103. It was so awesome to be close enough to stores and restaurants as well. This place was in the PERFECT location as the beach was just right across the street. It was also awesome that even though you are surrounded by a lot, the exact location of the condo was perfect that you could lounge around and sleep at night at peace. This trip was absolutely amazing. I had the most perfect honeymoon and I can't even thank you guys enough for being so gracious to provide such a great place for people to stay :) Thank You!!!

K-103 is located in the Maui Kamaole complex and is a large, very clean, well equipped place to call home while in Maui. We found nothing we were lacking, from the very well equipped kitchen, a plethora of beach equipment, easy access to the pool, BBQ's, and parking. Great bed! Easily will accomodate four people. Susan and Mark do a fantastic job keeping their condo's in top condition and are very good to deal with.

Our family rented K-103 the last week of March and we absolutely loved our stay! The condo had everything we needed and more...boogy boards, cooler, umbrella, beach mats, tupperware - it was stocked way beyond our expectations. And the unit itself is very large - lots of room for the kids to spread out their stuff. We loved having a ground floor unit because the kids can just zip out the sliding door and go around the corner to the pool. We will definitely be back!

My family of four stayed in K103 March 10-23 and had a fabulous time. I would recommend this condo to anyone who asked as it was lovely. It was nicely decorated, spotless and included all the amenities you would need. Susan was a pleasure to deal with and always replied quickly anytime I had a question. Maui Kamaole is a beautiful property with vegetation, birds and flowers. Sitting on the lanai is so peaceful and relaxing. The tropical pool and the tennis courts are just steps away. Beaches are all within walking distance or a short drive. It is obvious Mark and Susan take great pride in their unit and we will definitely return.

We stayed in K103 for 11 nights in January and really enjoyed everything about our stay. The things that were important to us were all in place. We have holidayed extensively in Hawaii, Mexico and the southern US and have stayed all kinds of different places--from 5 star resorts and hotels to apartments, rustic bungalows and Mexican hotels. We have found that over-the-top luxury does not necessarily provide the same satisfaction as finding a place that is homey, safe, well-stocked, that is in a quiet location with a nice pool area and barbeques and offers close-at-hand opportunities for some beach and shopping time and long morning walks. The location and set up of this condo has all these attributes. So for us, we think it is a winner. Our plan is to come back again next year.

After alot of research online, I selected this condo (K103)for a one week stay. My priorities were quiet, comfortable bed and immaculate. This condo met all my expectations and more. The condo is equipped with everything. There was even a curling iron, straightening iron and hairdryer in the bathroom. The kitchen was also fully equipped with tupperware, dishes, pots and pans, etc. There are full size double closets in the master bedroom not to mention the additional closets in the hallway. It seriously does feel like home away from home. Susan and Mark are great to deal with and Maui Kamaole is professionally run. Impressed enough to come again and rent for another 3 weeks next year. We just returned from our 7/19-7/26 stay in K-103. It really is a beautiful condo in a very nice place. Our long awaited vacation was everything we had hoped for. The location is at the very South end of Kihei -- upscale and quiet. We explored Kihei extensively and I did not find any other complex that I would have rather chosen. The walk to the excellent beach takes about 8 min. I just re-read the "promo" material and there is not one thing that I would dispute or modify. Susan was so pleasant to work with. We really enjoyed our stay in K103. The condo was so wonderfully furnished and clean. Very comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for the meals we prepared. We especially enjoyed grilling, the grill was so easily accessable. The beach chairs and umbrella were a real bonus (as well as the boogie boards!) The grounds were so lovely, such wonderful flowers, vegetation and birds. Such a treat for us coming from a long Alaska winter. The beach access was perfect, across the street or just a short drive or jog to some great snorkeling. Also, some fun restaurants within walking distance--one of our favorites was a local place, Da Kitchen. Thank you, Susan and Mark for sharing your home and being such wonderful hosts, even from a distance. We felt so welcome and looked after. We so enjoyed are relaxing stay at Susan and Mark's beautiful condo, located in the well-planned Maui Kamaole complex. K103 is found in the perfect location, near the gorgeous waterfall pool and away from busy South Kihei Road. This clean unit is the best equipped of all that we have rented at this property. There are beach chairs, boogie boards, snorkeling equipment, tatami mats, two televisions, DVD/VCR/Stereo, overhead fans in all rooms, good quality cook ware, and even laundry detergent for use by guests. Maui Kamaole is one of the newer, more deluxe complexes in South Maui, located just across from Kamaole III Beach; there are two pools (one lap and one freeform), two jacuzzis, beautifully landscaped grounds, gas BBQs, and night security. Traveling to Maui at this time of year allows the wonderful opportunity to whale watch. We were lucky to see all types of whale activity: pectoral slaps, breaching, and fluke diving. Spectacular! From beginning to end, Susan and Mark Simpson have been a pleasure with whom to work as they are truly sincere in wanting their guests to have a marvelous vacation. Maui No Ka Oi!

We have just returned from a two week stay in K103. As regular visitors to Maui I feel I can give a good evaluation on condo rentals there. K103 by far surpassed any other condo we have rented. It was incredibly clean and so well equipped right down to romantic candles, beach chairs, boogie boards, swim fins, etc. all in good shape. Everything had been well thought out right down to a huge container of laundry detergent, for the in suite washer and dryer. We had a fabulous time! The unit is located in a very quiet and private area but still right near the pool and BBQ. The beach is across the street.Maui Kamaole is generally upscale bordering on Wailea. I can't say enough good things about Mark and Susan, the owners of the condo. They phoned to make sure everything was ok and we were happy. They were courteous and friendly and now we feel like friends who just happen to share their home away from home. We intend to return, absolutely, no doubt about it. I recommend this condo to anyone and everyone. Kihei has the best weather on Maui so go for it!!!! Book this unit, you won't be disappointed!

K-103 worked out very well for our family of four. The layout was super-- the kids slept in relative comfort on the hide-a-bed while Mom & Dad enjoyed the great master bedroom. We were especially pleased with all of the unit's "extras," including good quality boogie-boards, beach chairs, and towels. The kitchen was very well equipped too. And beyond all of this, Mark and Susan are super people to deal with: friendly and considerate as well as efficient. (No, they're not paying us to say this-- nor are we related!) In short, we had a lovely time in K-103.

The condo and the whole complex was really nice!!! It was so nice and calm, very clean, very very well equipped and we felt completely at home during our 11 days on Maui. We had a wonderful stay at Maui Kamaole! The apartment was very comfortable, private and clean. In addition, the grounds are wonderful and the condo is almost directly across from Kamaole III (wonderful beach). Located on the border of Wailea, there are wonderful oceanfront walks -- the entire experience was a real treat!

We had a wonderful stay in K103. Susan and Mark have the condo fully stock with everything we could ever need for a relaxing Hawaiian vacation. We loved the location and how nice the property/condo/staff was. This was our best trip to Maui by far and can't to return to K103!

Susan and Mark's condo was a wonderful home base for our first trip to Maui. We'd reserved it online and were very pleasantly surprised to find it much more comfortable and spacious than we'd expected. It was completely furnished with everything you need for a carefree stay (including Hawaiian music CDs!), and the location was perfect for exploring all parts of Maui. You'd never go wrong staying here and the only problem you'll encounter is never wanting to leave!

Our stay at the Maui Kamaole was great. The grounds are lush and well kept. Area is quiet and peaceful (with the exception of a bird with a loud voice and a 6am daily wake up time...:-)). K103 was clean, bug free and provided pretty much everything we needed for our Maui stay. Lots of beach goodies - towels, umbrella, buckets & shovels, boogies boards. The Maui Kam is minutes away from the beautiful beaches of Wailea...or if that 's too far, the pool is no more than a 30 sec stroll from the unit. Booking with Susan was easy. I would stay here again and wouldn't hestitate to recommend. It's a great choice!

The condo was very nice - centrally located, close to the beach, restaurants etc. It had everything we needed, including a flashlight for the trip to Haleakala crater at 3:00am, boogie boards, beach chairs etc. We loved the proximity to the pool as well. We'll definitely recommend it to our friends

We recently enjoyed a "girlfriends getaway" week without the husbands or kids at Susan & Mark's Maui Kamaole K-103 unit. I have stayed at many rental condos in the past and this unit was particularly well furnished. Everything we needed to go on day trips or to the beach was provided. We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen was well appointed and able to accommodate any dish that we chose to prepare. I was also impressed by quality of the beaches that were within walking distance of the condo -- excellent for swimming, playing AND snorkeling. Mornings and evenings on the lanai were a real treat. We had a great stay -- thanks!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The condo was very well appointed, with all the necessities in the kitchen and great equipment for the beach (chairs, towels, etc). The grounds of the complex are well maintained with lovely flowering trees and shrubs. The tennis courts and nearby beaches were our favorite activities. Within a few minutes drive you can pick between several public beaches with lifeguards, washrooms and showers. Overall a great place to stay.

Thank you for allowing us to use your condo. Although our stay was short, we enjoyed our time at K103. There was everything we needed and found the cupboards well stocked, organized and clean. The grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed being outside and using the tropical pool. Getting around by car is fairly easy. Love the Hawaiian temperature. A very enjoyable holiday that we hated to end. Hope to return again.

I would highly recomend this unit at maui kamaole. It was nicely decorated, the location was excellent(steps from best hot tub, pool and BBQ,s. This was my third stay at Maui Kamaole and this was my favorite unit.

My husband and I spent 3 weeks in K103 - our second trip to Maui and the 2nd time we stayed in this unit. It is very comfortable and is well equipped with a complete kitchen setup and the unit is beautifully furnished. Couldn't ask for better accomdations. The complex is gorgeous and very well maintained. This complex is quiet and although it is on South Kihei road it is away from the commercial area and the noise (a few blocks). Being across the street from several public beaches is a real bonus. Our favourite beach is Keawakapu - beautiful uncrowded sandy beach which is easily accessed and has good parking facilities if one prefers to drive over instead of walking with beach chairs and all the other paraphenlia ones needs for a day at the beach. We will be back! Thanks to Susan and Mark Simpson for sharing their beautiful home with us.

This was a great condo located really close to the beach and really close to Wailea. It was centrally located for us and there were great places to eat very close to the condo. It was roomy, clean, and well decorated :) We loved it and hopefully we'll be back again!

The Condo was absolutely beautiful. New appliances, and furniture were very nice. Nicely decorated. Great proximity to the pool and beaches. I would gladly reccomend this to friends and family.
