We greatly enjoyed our stay at this home. The house is rustic, modern and unfussy - perfect for relaxing. It has beautiful views with many windows looking out on the cove and the sunrise views are superb. We also loved the house canoe -took it out to the breakwater where we beached the canoe and explored the sea pools and bay. The house is in a peaceful location yet very close to the charming town of Southwest Harbor ( easy walk on sidewalk gets you to town in 5 minutes) which has lots of good places for meals, a lobster pound, and Sawyers market - yum !. SW harbor is so much more relaxed than Bar Harbor but has everything you need. A supermarket is very close by to the north. We canoed, hiked, sea kayaked, biked the carriage trails, and explored many parts of Acadia Park incl. Wonderland, Cadillac Mtn, Echo and Eagle Lake . A very close wonderful hike to this home is Flying Mountain (down golf course road ) which gives beautiful views of SW an NE harbor areas. Note the home has 2 bathrooms ( from listing we thought it had one bath and a shower room)Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This cottage has the perfect setting in Southwest Harbor. It is very private and you feel like you are secluded on your own little peninsula. The views across the cove to the golf course and further into the bay were ones we savored during our stay. The location is an easy walk to the center of town - great for morning coffee runs or an evening stroll for dinner. Southwest Harbor is quaint and definitely a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor. Don;t let the rustic exterior fool you the interior of this cottage is very comfortable and spacious. Our family with two teenage boys and our dog were all very comfortable during our stay. Everything was provided in the cottage and we were lacking nothing for our long weekend stay - we will return again!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2
