Madrigal house is a brand-new property, situated amid the magic of Bali's ricefields, yet close enough for a comfortable walk into the bustling market town of Ubud.
The layout of the villa is modern with traditional touches like a real Balinese "open air bathroom with a traditional mandibath, daybeds, huge king-size four-poster beds inclosed with "klamboe" nets.
The atmosphere of the house is "Tempo Doeloe" the old term for taking it easy in a relaxing atmosphere. The villa is three stories,there is plenty of room for privacy,the top balcony gives you a absolutely superb view of ALL the volcanoes in Bali, sit there in the quiet of the morning, enjoying your first cup of coffee, specially made for you by your ever attentive staff.
Our staff also looks after you for your breakfast needs, assist you whenever you need transport, organizes your day trips should you so desire and anything else you possibly couldn't do without in Paradise!
We can handle your airport transfers with our prefered driver Wayan,just let us know your flight details.
Our preferred driver Wayan also looks after you for your exploritory trips across the Island,his english and dutch language skills are near perfect,he's a proud young balinese and we are proud of having him on the team
We also rent motorbikes at a very competative rate for you to explore Bali,either automatic or manual.

Why the Owner Chose Ubud
On retirement in Australia I decided to build a house for myself and add a guesthouse to give me something to do in my retirement,having spend many years in the hospitality industry it was a natural thing for me to do.
I have worked in the transport industry most of my life but also in hotels,restaurants and cruise ships.
I chose Bali because it has been my favorite holiday destination for the last 33 years,always coming back to Ubud and I'm now enjoying my new life here.
The Unique Benefits of this Villa
I think the best and most unique benefits for me is the fact that I have contact with people from all over the world and from all walks of life.
In the short 3 years that Madrigal guest house has been in operation I have had met people from the most remote places on this planet...try the Marchall Islands?
And it keeps on getting better and more interresting,repeats give me the feeling that I'm doing something good...somewhere along the line.
