The most beautiful place on Koh Samui We spent a wonderful time in Enchanted Hills Villa together with our friends. This is a beautiful place. It was great to come back every evening to the oases of peace, after our trips around the island. We listen a voice of jungle after sunset. It was fantastic. This house is absolutely charming. We felt great in it. Contact with manager was very good, all was very good organized. I highly recommend this place for holiday. Iwona

Eva's villa is quite simply a paradise. The overwhelming feeling is that you are staying in a family home rather than a generic villa. This is not to say it does not have all the features of a 5 star experience, ( more fluffy white towels than any self respecting 5 star hotel) it is just that it feels loved and cared for. Set high in the hills above Bang Po beach, the initial climb in a sturdy vehicle is a little daunting, but this soon becomes second nature, even fun. The villa is superbly managed by a local company, anything a family requires is simply a matter of asking, massages in villa, likewise superb cooked banquets and advice on local restaurants. The villa itself has a Tuscan, Lake Como feel to it (my adult children felt it had a 'Brothers and Sisters' TV influence!) and the view down the valley is breathtaking. We enjoyed the sense of coming 'home' after our outings, the island is quieter this end and some of the beachside restaurants we enjoyed had that totally authentic feel to them with ridiculously low prices, 'Son' restaurant in particular, with their white snapper in lemon and chilli a favourite. Our family party of 5 adults all had our own space and yet came together seamlessly for DVD marathons with pirated copies or lovely meals prepared in the fantastic kitchen. Eva could not be more helpful, answering every query promptly and offering great advice with car hire, flights etc. The pool is gorgeous, the outdoor covered dining area, the colonial feel decor ...must stop ... the whole package is here. All in all this was the perfect family holiday. One of the best. You will not be disappointed.

Owner response: We are very happy you enjoyed your holidays at Enchanted Hills, Kym! Thank you for your positive feedback and we hope your family returns again in the future for another reunion.

We stayed in this enchanted castle( only way to describe this fantastic place) in the summer for a week. The place itself was amazing set amongst fruit trees and jungle and overlooking the marine park. Our two kids thought they had died and gone to heaven with the affinity pool and spent almost every minute they possibly could jumping in and out. The house was so beautifully decorated and stylish with absolutely everything you need and more. Every morning we sat outside on the patio for breakfast and watched the brightly coloured birds and butterflies, it was great to be on top of the hill because we always got a fresh breeze up there too. Plus the added bonus of iews across the marine park. The bedrooms were again beautifully decorated and with our own bathrooms. We just fell in love with the place. One day we decided to walk up the hill to the house for a good walk and even saw a tiny monkey. I can't say enough great things about the house and the family that own it. We stayed when Eva and her family were there and we had a great time with her and the kids. They really went out of their way to ensure we had a great time and all the kids had loads of fun together in the pool. All in all we couldn't have asked for a better beginning to our holiday. There is so much to explore around the island that you can never get bored, the nature is fantastic and for children it's an adventure paradise. The kids are still telling everyone at school about the great holiday they had and their new friends at the Enchanted Hills, they obviously focus on swimming pool games and film nights and the local markets where we discovered the most fantastic places o eat on the beach. We can never thank Eva and the kids enough for the hospitality they gave us, we always remember with big smiles on our faces the Enchanted Hills. If you ever get chance to visit Thailand make this house your first port of call. We had a fantastic ten day stay here. The little kids were safe and happy and the adults had lots of spots to relax. The house is gorgeous, with every detail considered. The house itself has a beautiful outlook and it feels like you are away from everything with a view of sweeping hills of jungle and the shimmering ocean in the distance. There's aircon and ceiling fans throughout and beautiful ensuite bathrooms for everyone. The sheets, blinds, taps and fittings are all gorgeous - as is the excellent dishwasher, Smeg oven and industrial-looking washing machine and dryer! Our 3 year-olds learnt to dive and swim underwater in the swimming pool - its long enough for an adult to stretch out and swim, but narrow enough for kids to feel safe. It is also a stunning infinity pool. We ordered massages for the adults at the house every afternoon, cooked beautiful meals and generally had a wonderful family time. We left the house once or twice to check out the beaches and shop at the huge hypermart down the road, but were generally really happy to be together at this beautiful home. I thoroughly recommend this holiday rental - it exceeded our expectations. It matches the photos and more! The fact that it is a holiday home for the owners made it extremely functional and well-maintained. It has everything you need in the kitchen and was comfortable, luxurious and peaceful.

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

We were lucky to find Enchanted Hills villa for three days to stay after a week in another house at the beach. And just for three days/ two nights we got full service, including transfer, fruit and drinks and extremely friendly wellcome from the manager Au, who gave us all the necessary explanations and assisted us in renting a car without which you cannot do there in the mountains. The beautiful Mai -another assistant - was very nice and helpful too. Compliments and lots of thanks to the owner for perfect organization! The villa itself is a dream of a house - spacious, nicely furnished, fully equipped. Romantic location in the mountains with a millon-dollar view, 10 minutes by car to the beach and restaurants, 20 minutes by car to a very nice golfclub. We were very happy with everything, thanks a lot

Communications-Excellent,Eva and Emma more than happy to answer any queries. Villa staff: Transfers-punctual in clean modern vehicles. Cleaning, pool and gardening staff-efficient,reliable and discreet. Security-thought this may have been an issue due to villa location but complete opposite, estate security patroled every two hours and made us feel very safe. Villa representative-Au was very helpfull and informative always at the end of the phone if we needed her advice as well as visits to the villa to see us. Emma-so glad we had the opportunity to meet up with Emma, great chatting with someone from England to hear their views on living on Samui. Enchanted Hills Villa- As soon as we stepped into the villa we knew we had made a great choice, the villa feels like a home from home rather than a rental.Downstairs is a large comfortable room with a bright lounge with big comfy sofa, dining area and well equipt laundry room and kitchen. All the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable with plenty of storage.Throughout the villa the fixtures, furnishings and fittings are clean,in very good condition and are of good quality. Outside-Very private but you dont feel isolated as you can see other villas dotted around. The gardens are very pretty and the views outstanding, with forests to the side and seaviews with islands in the distance to the front.Another great thing about this villa is the pool,it is a very good size and great for doing laps or just relaxing in the peaceful surroundings. Vehicle-Due to location a vehicle is a must,Emma can arrange this for you in advance and having transport means you get to explore the island and see the real Samui. To sum up Enchanted Hills is perfect for anyone wanting a private, well equipt villa with all the comforts of home and a great team looking after you. My wife and I, along with our 13, 11 and 9 year-old children, spent 10 days at Enchanted Hills. Our overall experience was excellent. The property management company (Coconut Hills) had stocked the refrigerator with the food we had requested when we arrived late in the evening. A rental car was delivered to the villa the next morning. Cleaners visited every two days and the villa and grounds were maintained in excellent condition for the duration of our stay. Our family enjoyed the privacy of the villa - we didn't see or hear anybody else outside the property other than maintenance staff the entire 10 days. We had a couple of power outages (affecting the whole community), and a couple of questions about the appliances in the villa - the Coconut Hills staff were easy to get hold of and very keen to help - they did a great job. Be aware that the villa is about 1 kilometer from the main road within the Santi Thani community. You have to drive or get a taxi to get anywhere, but for us the peace and quiet was worth the remoteness. Stay in Cheweng if you want to walk to restaurants and bars - but be prepared for 24 hour noise. The swimming pool with sunset views was the high point for our children - but the villa really is beautiful and every bedroom is very nicely decorated. During our vacation we visited a number of hotels and resorts to access the beach or to eat, and by the end we all agreed that a self-catered villa was by far the most cost-efficient way to spend time on Koh Samui, as the hotels are very expensive in comparison. Last of all, our communications with the property owner, Eva, were great - she was happy to answer all our questions and very easy to deal with. To summarise - we highly recommend Enchanted Hills! If you are looking for nightlife, full moon parties and shopping till you drop, then Enchanted Hills is not for you, if you are looking for privacy, luxury, scenery and a more personal holiday then it is. We stayed there for a week with our two boys aged 1 and 5, grandparents and the boy's uncle. The main body of the house is a two bedroom house which was perfect for Mum Dad and the boys, the Uncle and Grandparents stayed in the guest wing (all with ensuites) which meant they werent woken up at the crack of dawn by our busy boys. The pool was a dream come true in the hot season, the views were to die for, short distance from some amazing restaruants, dont miss The Farmer restaruant set in rice fields near by. You do need your own transport here but that only means you actually get out and explore the island to make the most of everything and dont get pigeon holed into one beach, one resort, one set of restaurants. We did a lot of exploring and mangaged to see real Thai life away from the tourist traps. We hired chefs to cook for us one night whilst we celebrated the husbands 40th birthday the food was amazing and what a way to end our day after zooming around the nearby islands on a boat cruise. The worst thing about Enchanted hills was leaving. I would recommend this place in a heart beat.

We stayed in the villa for a month with our small baby. The villa is gorgeous, the pool and surrounding view were the biggest draw cards. The service was impeccable - from booking and communicating with Eva via email, upon our arrival and being looked after by au, to housekeeping, gardening and free airport transfers, everything was perfect. You will need a car or motorbike, which they can arrange at very reasonable rates. Also try the in-villa massage, very good and decent price. The villa is up in a steep estate, so you really do need your own transport. There is a beach and restaurants at the bottom of the hill (5 mins drive from your driveway) and Boput, with its funky restaurants, is 20 mins drive through other villages with plenty of eating options. The villa was great for a longer stay as it meant we could escape the chaos of the beach areas, but still visit when we wanted. Overall, highly recommended. House was really well equipped and clean. Overall very nice house, good view and quiet place. All area is well secured and private. Because it's located on the hills (that's why you have also really good view) you need to rent car. (Guest review posted on TripAdvisor.com)

I stayed here for 1 month and had a great time. The villa is located five minutes by moped into a semi-gated community that consists entirely of villas and one small restaurant. It is a very hilly area which can make for an intimidating drive at first, but once you get used to it, it's very enjoyable. It is closer to Nathan than Chaweng Beach. It is fairly out of the way. If you're looking for someplace close to some lively beach-side night life, this may not be the place for you. There are many nice, affordable restaurants in the area, and the German/Thai restaurant inside the community is extremely close and very relaxing, though more expensive than most Thai owned places. There is internet access available through a mobile broadband, USB stick which you can rent but there definitely is not WiFi. If you develop a taste for some local Thai dishes and come at the right time, you may be able to make good use of the fruit trees on the property. The pool is refreshing and surprisingly deep at the far end, and the outdoor table under the arch is a great place to enjoy sunset or eat dinner. There is a dishwasher but dishwasher soap is very hard to find. You should expect to see quite a few workers maintaining the community on a daily basis. Although cars are rare, motor bikes are quite commonly heard going from villa to villa. If you think about it, the quality of the gardens, villas, pools, and roads needs daily maintenance so this is really a valuable but unexpected necessity. In general, the staff are extremely polite and stay out of your way to the best of their ability, but most of them don't speak much English. If you are uncomfortable with lizards, this place is not for you, but that said, I was never bothered by a lizard while sleeping and they kept the villa remarkably free of insects provided that you close the doors at night. Mosquitos can be a small problem in the morning and early evening, but that is pretty much an unavoidable fact of life in the area. (Guest review posted on TripAdvisor.com)
