Location: Ellijay, Northwest High Country, Georgia, USA (Cabin is both 20 miles east of Ellijay & south of Blue Ridge)

Accommodations:  Cabin, 2 Bedrooms, 1.5 Baths (Sleeps 5)

This cabin started life as a water wheel powered mill. It has been completely remodeled but it is still just feet away from the creek. The sound of the rushing water is highly relaxing and makes for a tremendous night's sleep.

The master bedroom located on the ground floor has a king-size bed. The second bedroom located on the second floor has a full-size bed and a twin bed. There is also a large loft on the second floor over looking the living room, dining room and kitchen.

This cabin is close to Ellijay and Blue Ridge. The Toccoa and Ocoee Rivers are close. The southern terminus of the Appalachian Trail is just six miles away. Helen Georgia is also only a short drive.

  • My wife & I stayed at this very nice cabin/home from May 25-June 4, 2009. Extremely neat, great amenities, very comfortable place to relax. We spent a lot of time reading on the back porch, watching the birds and listening to the creek. It is, also, a central location from which to explore nature and the small towns of North Georgia. Five Star rating from us!!

  • We vacationed at this cabin the end of March 2009 and I find myself thinking about the beautiful water views from most of the windows. The sound of the water still comes to mind and brings back serenity. The little fire pit was an added plus for the smores and the kids loved playing in the water and climbing on the rocks! It was a GREAT place to relax and get away from everything. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

  • We have stayed in this cabin several times. It is absolutely wonderful. Great privacy, the sound of the creek is the most relaxing thing imaginable. The caretaker, when in residence, was unobtrusive. We give it five stars.

  • The cabin was perfect. It was just the two of us, plus pup, but the upstairs loft bedroom/playroom would be great if you had kids with you. Great proximity to trails. Close to Blue Ridge and Ellijay but far enough that you feel like you've really gotten away from it all. I enjoyed having my morning coffee next to the creek each day.

  • This was our first time renting a cabin, and when we got there it was definitely more than we expected. It was absolutely breathtaking, and we couldn't have made a better choice!
