The unit is beautifully furnished with a tropical flair and tiled throughout. Free in-unit WiFi. The spacious bedroom was updated in fall 2008 with new King-size bed with BeautyRest mattress and luxury bed coverings, flat screen TV and variable-speed Casablanca ceiling fan. The living room features tropical furniture including a queen-sized sleeper sofa, ceiling fan, large TV and DVD player. There is a fully-equipped kitchen and bath, a dining area, and cool, quiet central air conditioning. The spacious living areas and a large screened lanai face southwest and look out to the pool and to the sparkling Gulf of Mexico beyond. The first floor location offers instant access to the pool and beach, and no stairs to climb! For your comfort and convenience, the unit is non-smoking and daily maid service is provided. Pets are not allowed.
You can walk for miles along the shore, swim in the beautiful beachside heated pool, and relax at the private beach with complimentary chaise lounges and umbrellas. Watch for dolphins, observe sea turtles and shore birds, and end each day watching the golden evening sun slip over the horizon. Return to the beach at night and wonder at the millions of stars clearly visible in the nighttime sky.
While you're here, take advantage of the wonderful nearby restaurants, parks, marinas and shopping which Longboat Key has to offer. A 10-minute drive away, you can enjoy the festive atmosphere of the lively restaurants, boutiques and shops of St. Armands Circle. Then, travel over the John Ringling Bridge into downtown Sarasota. Sarasota is the cultural arts capital of Florida, offering you an incredible selection of music, theater, ballet, opera, arts festivals, art galleries and the renowned John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art.

We loved our stay at your unit 246 at Silver Sands. We had stayed there in the past and when I found out online that you now had a king size bed I was very anxious to book again. We are a local couple and like to get away locally for long weekends and have found your place to be just the location we like. Cleaning staff and front desk were most helpful and accommodating. Thank you so much for providing such a great place.

We had a wonderful stay at the condo. The setting is unbeatable, right on the beach with the Gulf just steps away. Silver Sands itself was great too, clean and comfortable with a lot of thought given to your guests needs. We really appreciated those small touches--a drying rack for wet suits and towels, a bucket for sandy feet and a blender for slushy drinks on a hot beach day, to name just a few. The office staff was more than helpful (I have to mention Laura, for her assistance in reuniting me with my phone charger) and the system for after hours arrival, which we needed to use, went without a hitch. There was plenty to keep both teens and parents happy and we will definitely stay at 246 again the next time we are taking a beach vacation.

I can't begin to tell you how wonderful our stay was at Silver Sands. The facilities were extremely clean and comfortable. It was so nice to be just steps away from the beach and pool. Every employee was coureous and helpful. We look forward to coming back again with my brother, sister-in-law and nephew. We look forward to next summer!

We very much enjoyed our stay. We definitely liked the fact that our unit was on the ground floor so that it made it easier to haul beach stuff to the unit. The condo unit was well appointed and clean.

We LOVED our stay at your Silver Sands unit! The condo, pool and beach were all very nice. We enjoyed cooking on the grill by the pool--it seemed to be a popular dinner choice for many. It was nice to step out of the porch and be right at the pool and then just a short walk to the beach. The view was beautiful right from the condo! We appreciated the "extras" such as coffee and soap supplies, clean towels, free wireless and the comforts of home. The unit was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. I liked that the bathroom had a fan--so many don't anymore. I also liked the glass doors for the shower/tub. We did enjoy the area of Longboat Key also, but our favorite time was spent just hanging at the condo and enjoying all that it had to offer. It was perfect for our family of three with our 18 year old daughter. There seemed to be many families/extended families at Silver Sands during our stay and everyone was very friendly. It was fun to see multiple generations all enjoying themselves and their time together. We arrived early due to a change in our flight schedule and were able to check-in with no problem. Laura at the front desk was friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations. The check-out time of 11 am was great--we were able to get all of our laundry finished that morning and did not feel rushed. We would love to go back again and would highly recommend that others stay there. Thank you for everything!

We really enjoyed staying in your unit at Silver Sands. Laura at the front desk was nice, she gave us all the information we needed. And, when we asked, a beach umbrella, too. The unit was clean, quiet and comfortable. I hope we find a few days next year to stay there again.
