The apartment was cozy and comfortable, clean and very quiet. Although we did not have fresh flowers or a bottle of wine left for us, we had very prompt attention to any questions we had from Jean Pierre. The washer and dryer does best with small loads! Very good location....The photos on line are accurate. Enjoyed the nearby cafes and stores. Definitely would recommend for one or two people. Many pleasant memories of our four week visit to Paris.

The area is outstandingly interesting and I will recommend it to anyone. The apartment is fine, no problems at all. There are at least a dozen gripping venues within walking distance and the metro is a minutes walk. Paris of course has the interesting dichotomy where it is reasonably cheap to buy food and wine from nearby shops and relatively expensive to drink at bars, this is of course a matter of choice.

We have just returned from two lovely weeks a 5 Rue de Braque. This was our second stay at that apartment. It has all we could ask for;quiet street, airy and light, comfortable bed, nice kitchen and bath. The elevator is great for those of us in the troisieme age. Those water bottles tend to get heavy whilst climbing steps. And the district is perfect. So lively and filled with interesting sites, museums, restaurants, and shops. The Guardian also does a good job keeping the public areas clean and neat. We had a perfect stay

We stayed at 5 Rue de Braque in Aug 09 and found the apartment everything we needed. Although it was quite hot, the fan was enough to keep us cool at night. We used the Velib hire bikes to get around which was OK to use once you get used to it. Bakeries, supermarkets and restaurants within easy walking distance. Rode to most sites and used the Red Buses the 1st two days. The only disappointment was the amount of rubbish and graffiti in the street and the smell of urine each morning from passing people the night before which is no fault of RentParis. Would use RentParis again if in Paris and possibly 5 Rue de Braque

My husband and I stayed in 5 rue de Braque for 4 nights in August and we loved it. The apartment was a perfect size for us, and we loved the location. We used the kitchen a bit for breakfast and snacks but not extensively, as we ate out for dinner. However, saying that, the kitchen would have been absolutely fine if we had decided to make bigger meals. The main room itself was lovely, and I agree with others that the fresh flowers were a wonderful touch. The location was perfect for us: in the Marais but on a small and quiet side street. We never had a problem with noise despite being in a very vibrant neighborhood. As others have said, there are lots of bakeries, cafes, shops and restaurants nearby, and one of the best vegetarian restaurants in Paris is just around the corner. We were also able to walk most everywhere only needing to take the metro to go much further afield (the flea market on the far northern edge of the city. Overall, our experience with this apartment was great, and we would not hesitate to book it again next time we're in Paris.

It was a wonderful stay, and I hope to come again. I loved the apartment's ambience, in general, with its high ceilings and big windows, looking out on a quiet, picturesque street. The courtyard was beautiful, especially when the cherry tree was in bloom. I needn't reiterate the comments of former tenants, but agreed with them with regard to both positive and negative assessments. Fabrice and Jean Pierre were excellent hosts and wonderfully helpful whenever I needed anything. I would suggest, though, that the directions for contingencies be included in the folder you leave for the tenants. Including written directions for using the washer/dryer, television and VCR (and the recommended channels depending on the tenant's place of origin), where the trash and recycling should be put, and what to do should the internet go out. Also, it would be helpful to have directions on how to use the telephone, such as how to put an answering message on the machine, as well as basic information about making long distance calls (for instance, the U.S. is 001, whereas Great Britain would be 00, and know that 0 is included in Paris calls when in Paris, but not from out of the country). Also, the fact that one cannot telephone mobile phone users. A bit of a problem, considering many people have mobiles. All in all I would recommend it to anyone who needed a great place to stay in Paris. Pepi Plowman

Owner response: Hello Pepi, I don't really understand some of your request because all information regarding the telephone are very clear in the "Welcome Book", also I told you that you cannot call mobile phone from the apartment, remember we are not an hotel :-) and you have tool-free access number from the apartment to RentParis, 24 hours and 7 days a week ... All my best, Fabrice
This is the 4th apartment I stayed in from Rent Paris. I was in Paris for a week (8-15 March) taking French classes. This apartment is well-suited for 1 person, but definitely not more than 2. It was perfect for me. The location is superb. Very close to the metro, bakery, markets, etc. The street is pretty quiet. The kitchen is small; however, I didn't utilize it very much. The Wi-fi was hit or miss; however, thankfully I brought an ethernet cord and plugged right into box instead. No problems. I used the washer/dryer a couple of times. Realize that with washer/dryer combos, don't expect clothes to be super dry when finished. I needed to put clothes on the heaters to finish the drying - but it's really no big deal. The only problem I had, which was not Rent Paris's fault, was that the former renters were still there when I arrived (which was after noon). Rent Paris requires that all renters be out before noon so that the apartment can get cleaned. Needless to say, the apartment was a mess; however, I just dropped off my bags and went to a cafe and had lunch. I came back in an hour and the cleaning person was just finishing up. You would not have recognized the apartment. It was spotless. There were fresh flowers left (which is usual) as well as a bottle of wine (I'm assuming for the apartment not being ready.) I never had to contact Rent Paris after that. Fabrice gave me the number for the taxi service (3607) which worked out well for getting to the airport at 5:30am. It's an automated system; however, all in French, but very easy to use. I will be back to France in November and my partner and I will be again renting from Rent Paris. The cost savings as well as accommodations cannot compare to any hotel.

A recommander absolument
