  Fabulous house with all the comforts of home. It was very clean and had a fully stocked kitchen with extra towels and linens available. Three indoor living areas plus three separate outside spots to sit and enjoy the beauty of northern GA. We thoroughly enjoyed our family vacation on Lake Chatuge. The weather was cool, with some rain but we were able to enjoy kyaking and brought our paddle boards. The lake was not very busy and we were able to enjoy being on the water every day. The grocery store, Ingles, was close and had everything. We loved hiking to High Shoals Falls one day then driving up to Brasstown Bald to see the spectacular views from the highest mountain in GA. Our day in Helen, a Bavarian/German like town, was also memorable with authentic German food, shops and a had a fun time tubing down the river. My husband and I enjoyed a date night at a local winery in Young Harris called Crane Creek. We would love to visit this beautiful area again and would definitely stay at Waterside Cottage again. Catherine was lovely work with and so helpful to immediately return every call before our trip and the one call we made while there. Thanks Catherine for sharing your great house!

  to start my review the owners were a great pleasure to work with. we plan to return with our jet skis and,bass boats. the house has plenty of room for entertaining.also it is wonderful for a family dinner. the home has plenty of activities for children and or adults. I have nothing to add negative about the lake home. overall it is a 10 out of 10. the owners made it a wonderful stay. to sum up the home is very centrally located and a great place to stay while you're in the North Georgia Mountains.

  Waterside has become part of our family history. This was our 3rd stay there and it was equally as wonderful and refreshing as the first two. The house was clean and had every convenience our own home has. We enjoyed family pool tournaments as well as air hockey games :) The kids loved roasting marshmallows and hanging in the hot tub. We even utilized bikes from the boat shed for some nice evening rides in the crisp Hiawassee air. The parishioners at St. Francis Catholic church are so welcoming and the food at Michael Lee's was fantastic!!! Thank you for assisting our family in making wonderful memories.

  My family and i had such a great time at this beautiful property! The house was imaculate and filled with fun things for the kids to do, while the adults had their own space to relax. The view to lake was very nice and the neighborhood was lovely. the town of Hiawassee was small but very charming and the people were very hospitable. Best part is that we were next to the supermarket, gas station and Mcdonalds. Al's pizza was delcious if you need to order out! Owners were also super attentive and very sweet. highly recommend this property!

There, you have all the conveniences, since the neighborhood is so close to the charming town center and all it has to offer, including gas stations, supermarkets, Mcdonalds, great restaurants and even Starbucks!   We truly enjoyed staying at Waterside. The house was spectacular and the view of the lake was peaceful. Our two week stay at Waterside was very relaxing. We enjoyed eating at the local restaurants and shopping at the antiques stores. The people in town were very friendly. My husband and I are looking forward to going back next year. Including our dog zues who loved sititng on the porch while we enjoyed the rocking chairs and watching the fire-flies at night.

  We love the Hiawassee area and this home is wonderful. Close enough to walk to the main street in town and was able to watch the July 4th fireworks across the water from the upper deck. Everything listed is as stated and the home is very clean. The covered patio and upper deck was great for when the rains came as we could still be outside. With two TV rooms and a yard that is almost completely fenced it would be great for families with children.

  We had a wonderful 7 days at Waterside and look forward to coming back. Not only do we love coming to north GA but now we have found our home away from home. From the decor to the cleanliness of the home and to every possible detail for home needs being available this was by far the best place we have ever stayed in north Ga over the years. We truly appreciate the great detail with which the owners have shown in providing a vacation rental that was exactly as described-and even better in person and the availability to which the owners offered themselves if any unforseen problem came up. Though it rained each day it didn't stop us from enjoying our trip and some of the best times were sitting on the porch reading while the rain came down.We even taught our 10 year old daughter how to skip rocks each morning and evening as we enjoyed the lake. Thank you for providing such a wonderful place to come! As soon as we can we will come back!

  Greetings Catherine.......When we pulled out of the carport at 0930 Saturday we did so reluctantly. As Faith already reported, we were blessed with fourteen solid days of 'picture perfect' weather. That pattern seldom happens, in our experience. The house is so pretty, inside and out. Your decorations and appointments throughout are well done, reflecting a lot of love and thought behind all these nice touches. We personally were warmed by the scripture verses on the walls, suggesting your gratitude to Creator God for the display of His majesty and handiwork in the breathtaking mountain scenery. We truly enjoyed every minute of it. The property was as clean as a whistle when we arrived and we sought to leave it that way when we left. We wish you our best in all your endeavors and hope to re-visit your little slice of paradise in the not too distant future.....Rich and Faith

  Wow, That says it all. We felt at home from the moment we arrived. We slept like babies and we have a sleep by numbers bed back at home. The kitchen was excellent and had everything we needed to prepare meals. From the jacuzzi to the pool table to the games we were never bored. We loved the view from the balcony especially at sunset with a glass of wine. This home is very dog friendly. We loved kayaking and biking in town. The only negative thing was we had to end our vacation and go home. On a 1 to 10 scale this home is a 10. We will recommend this lakeside home to friends and family. This was one of our best vacations. WOW.
