This "locals only" notebook will tell you where to find the best and finest dining, entertainment, beach front bars and the best buys in local shopping.
If you have access to a boat or your bringing your own we have over 30 years of experience in our local waters and will show our beautiful secret secluded beaches only the locals know of. For your boating needs our condo is located 3 minutes from the Legendary Marine Dry Storage, fuel and boat ramp.They charge by the foot and will do short term weekly storage with a call .

Leisha and I are locals and have been playing and working in paradise for over 40 years. We are both self employed and always manage to make time to enjoy our local area. We are very active and live our lives around the beaches and waterways of the Emerald Coast. We are "water nuts" and during most of our time off you will find us sailing, scuba diving,shell collecting or beach combing as we enjoy the beautiful area.We enjoy the many fine restaurants in Destin and Fort Walton Beach as well as the spring and fall festivals. This is the nicest condo we have ever stayed in and the absolute best Beach View we have ever had. We have stayed at four different complexes in Fort Walton and this was the absolute best view we have had. Absolutely breath taking. The condo is decorated beautifully and offers everything you could ask for. It is a smaller complex and not too crowded. My girls loved it, especially the kids bunkroom and tv-dvd player. The owners did not cheap out on anything in this condo. Everything is first class. The use of the free beach chairs were a plus as well. The use of the Kayak was great as well. My wife and I both had a chance to Kayak with the Dolphins, which was an awesome experience. The condo also had movies, games and books available for your use. Also had a few beach toys available, which we added too. The owners are super friendly and extremely easy to work with. If there were anything we might wish for would have been a bigger pool. It didnt seem to bother the kids though and we spent more time in the ocean anyway. I highly recommend this condo to anyone, from couples to families. I guarantee you will love it as much as we did. Thanks so much for your use of your home away from home.

My family and I have had a great time the week of May 22-26, 2011 at this beautifully decorated home. The owners are great to work with and will answer any questions you may have. We enjoyed a fishing trip on the Swoop Party fishing boat and enjoyed a great catch (took home four gallon bags full of fish) It is the closest to the ocean we have ever been and we really enjoyed the free beach service, use of the kayak and the short walk to the beach. What we really enjoyed was it wasn't crowded and the building was only six stories high giving you a great view. It is also very accesible to anything you would like to do with free wi-fi and a good selection of books and movies. Look forward to working with Mike and Leshia again in the future. We used this trip to celebrate our son's graduation from high school and he brought along a friend who also enjoyed the time away.

This condo was beautiful, clean and comfortable. It even had all the little things that you might forget to bring or buy upon your inital shopping trip. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to make a meal. The layout is nice and was perfect for my husband and I, our two kids and my mother-in-law. The view was beautiful and we loved drinking our morning coffee and evening cocktails on the balcony. There was nothing more I would have asked for or wanted in a vacation rental. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone!

This listing is even more beautiful in person. The view is breathtaking! We enjoyed watching the dolphins play in the morning as we had our coffee on the balcony. The property was very clean and the decor was great! Owners were very accommodating. They made it very easy to find great restaurants and attractions with a book of their favorites. We would definitely recommend this unit to our friends and family! THANKS again!

We cannot say enough great things about this condo, and Mike and Leisha. After our second year to vacation here, we plan on being here every year from now on. Beautiful accomodations, great owners to work with, friendly beach "dude" D.J., good restaurants on the island to eat at, and we certainly will keep on renting a boat to explore the area...our paradise for sure! Best place we have stayed at on Destin yet! Owners are excellent in helping out in everyway. The place is like home, and the setting is just awesome. Very quiet, and very relaxing, loved the covered parking for my motorcyle, and very close to all activities. We will be back again to enjoy. Publix is great and close and clean to shop in, and there is a little store right out front if need anything quickly. The propety was very clean and as described, I would recomend this condo to all.

Your condo on Okaloosa Island is so beautiful, and is a home away from home. Your attention to details are wonderful.We enjoyed the home away from home feeling! Your compliments of wine and the hand written note made our week very special. We have come to this area for several years and this has been the most comfortable and relaxing trip of all.
