This cabin is nestled off a private road on a wooded three-acre lot. Sit on the deck and enjoy a lovely mountain view. Watch deer feed on the adjacent property or in the woods. Relax inside and enjoy Direct TV or the sounds of the woods. Do you love the mountains? Do you like to bike, hike, swim, play golf? Are you interested in Civil War history?
Thousands of visitors each year come to the Gettysburg Battlefield to learn about our past and to remember those who gave "the last full measure of devotion." If his schedule permits, my husband--a retired history teacher--will help you get your bearings on the battlefield. He can also provide suggestions for day hikes and other activities.
This cabin is in the middle of Adams County apple orchard country. Michaux State Park is ten minutes away with the Appalachian Trail as well as other hiking trails, biking--both mountain and road biking, swimming and fishing at Fuller Lake and Laurel Lake. Like to golf? Drive ten minutes to one beautiful course, 25 minutes to another.
Love country fairs? The first two weekends in October enjoy the Apple Harvest Festival five minutes away at the South Mountain Fairground. The cabin is conveniently located one and a half hours from Baltimore, two hours from Washington, DC, one and a half hours from Amish Country in Lancaster County and one and a half hours from Hershey Park.
