Aspen House sits secluded, in a grove of Aspen trees nestled next to the Gallatin National Forest in Montana! We offer a cozy setting with all the comforts of home. All the furnishings are new, with plush bed linens and big thick towels. Our kitchen is furnished with all the amenities you would expect in your own home, and home would not be complete without a washer and dryer, just in case you need to catch up on your laundry.
In the summer you can take a hike right off the back porch; viewing the mountains and streams and maybe catching a glimpse of local wildlife. We are only 10 minutes from the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park, we can help you plan a guided tour or you can take it at your own pace and experience this natural wonder on your own schedule. There is plenty to do fly-fishing, hiking, horseback riding, rock climbing, white water rafting, kayaking, bird and wildlife viewing, boating, water skiing, shopping and sightseeing, just to name a few. West Yellowstone and the surrounding area, both in summer and winter offer a multitude of dining possibilities.
The area offers fun for the whole family. You can visit the Grizzly Discovery Center or the Imax Theater featuring special presentations daily. Available during the summer months, the Museum of the Yellowstone and the famous Playmill Theatre offer fun filled times for kids as well as adults.
In the winter Aspen House offers seclusion and snow, with winter activities right out the front door; Snowmobiling, Cross Country Skiing, Snowshoeing, Dog Sledding and Ice Fishing! Makes no difference; sledder or skier, Aspen House will appeal to your needs! There is plenty of space for parking and the snowmobile trails are accessible right down the street. The area offers over 500 miles of groomed snowmobile trails outside of Yellowstone National Park. This sport is an area favorite and with our amazing snow levels there is fresh powder for everyone! Remember the entrance to Yellowstone National Park is only 8 miles from Aspen House, you can choose to go on a snowcoach or take a guided snowmobile trip, either way you will love Yellowstone in the winter! Yellowstone National Park is available for touring in the winter from mid-December to the first part of March. It is accessible by guided snowmobile trips in groups of 10 or if you prefer you can tour Yellowstone National Park by snowcoach. You can snowshoe right out the front door or ski on the Rendezvous Ski Trails in West Yellowstone, 8 miles away! These trails offer over 35 Kilometers of winding groomed trails that meander through the Gallatin National Forest. North of the Aspen House, 50 miles away is Big Sky, Montana; which offers Rocky Mountain Downhill Skiing.
