We have just completed an 8-night stay at Mark and Angel's condo in central Condado. We were delighted with all aspects of our stay. The condo is ideally located to enjoy Condado itself, is reasonably close to the airport for both arrivals and departures, has a free parking spot (invaluable) and is directly on a bus route into the Old San Juan area. There are great bars and eating spots nearby and you're just a 4 minute stroll to the beach and ocean. We were fortunate to meet Mark briefly on our first evening and that meeting also reconfirmed that we had made the right accommodation choice. We highly recommend this unit, especially for couples looking to be right in the middle of the action. Mark and Angel, thanks again!

Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The condo is very convenient and easy to access once you get the hang of driving around San Juan. Suggest you check out Google maps and plan your driving carefully in case you get there and the its night or the weather is bad, both of which we experienced which made finding the location a bit challenging. Once you get to Condado several one way streets and lack of street signs makes for interesting drive. What you see from the pictures is exactly what you get, 16 floors up which offers a great view. Having a car is great for exploring the local area and the secure parking space is great. Walgreen's is a couple blocks to the left of the building for misc. items and many local bars and restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommend the bio bay tour at Lagoona Grande near Fajardo.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

A friend and I went for a girl getaway. The condo was perfect - we were able to eat breakfast in, which saved money. The bed was comfortable, and the renovations were very nice. Very centrally located, with short cab rides to airport and Old San Juan. The Marriott across the street was very helpful with setting up tours. Laundry on 2nd floor easy to operate. The owner was incredibly helpful with information packet, and we had all the information we needed. Guard at front desk at all hours of day or night. We never felt unsafe (2 women traveling alone). Nearby restaurants had delicious food and drinks, and the locals were very friendly. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone wanting a clean place to stay that is in a good location.

Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My boyfriend and I just returned from an absolutely excellent stay in San Juan, and Mark and Angel's was a perfect home away from home. It was nice being in a safe building with pleasant security guards, and the location of the condo is wonderful. We were right across the street from big hotels that are right on the beach, and very close to a range of restaurants (some that served finer fare and others that were more affordable). We rented a car so that we could take excursions to other parts of the island, but there's a lot to do around the condo and it's in a good spot to get public transportation or you can arrange tours with the hotels that are across the street. The renovations that they've done on the apartment make everything look very new and sleek. We loved waking up and looking out of the large windows in the bedroom that allow you to see all the way to the beach. I would highly recommend this condo for anyone's stay in Puerto Rico!

Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

Wonderful condo in the best location of PR.

Just returned from spending a week in this condo and found it absolutely perfect. Everything one needs for a fantastic get-a-away is included in this condo or within the building, and it is located in the center of everything. Very modern and nicely decorated with plenty of seating space in the living area with excellent lighting in each room, inclulding great overhead mood lighting in both the living area and also the bedroom. Much more storage space than anticipiated, including enough storage, drawer and shelf space to hold contents of 3-4 large pieces of luggage, plus an extra large walk-in closet to store you luggage, and this in addition to the 2nd closet in bedroom.. And unlike many rentals with 1 or 2 small mirrors, there are 4 good mirrors through-out including full lengths, and at least one is guaranteed to flatter you. You can stay here and just pack and travel light as washers & dryers in the building are both secure and inexpensive. If you plan to drive you must have a condo like this that provides parking as there very limited steet parking and this condo offers secure parking under the building at no add'l charge. And if you like to walk as I did, you can leave this condo and take long walks safely in 3 directions. The main beach is directly across the street, as well as a 2nd more secluded beach a few blocks down on the right which also great for walking as it goes on for miles. You can take a break in the nice neighborhood park directly behind the building which is completely covered in wonderful shade trees and offers a great place to take take a break & relax, get away from the main street, read, or grab an ice cream form the vendor there. I only lease properties where I can deal directly with owners instead of agents and Mark is a perfect example why, as he was exteremely easy to work with. Even providing package of information in advance of your visit with information on restaurants, directions and local points of interest which I found extremely helpful as reference when I arrived. Thank you Mark and Angel for sharing your home. I wish I could take it with me everywhere I traveled. Can't wait to return.

All of the comments previously listed were correct. My husband and I just came back from a relaxing, warm and peaceful vacation. Mark and Angel, you have provided a wonderful place to come “home” to while in Puerto Rico. The apartment is beautifully decorated and the attention to detail in all of the little amenities was really appreciated. I admit that I did not do any cooking during my stay – I was on vacation – but it was great to get up and make a cup of coffee or tea and have a light meal or bring something back. My favorite little feature was the shower. When you turned on the water, the temperature was perfect – you didn’t have to adjust anything, just turn on the water. There was plenty of storage for all of your things and plenty of places to sit and relax. Condado was a great place to stay, plenty of restaurants (at all price levels) and very walkable. I would highly recommend this condo.

We recently stayed in Mark/Angel's condo for our week's vacation and I must admit we were extremely happy with our choice. Extremely! The pictures online are nice but do not do the apartment justice, it is absolutely beautiful. It was clean, very nicely presented and everything was just right...we truly felt like we were HOME even though we were away from home. We were very grateful for the full kitchen which we did use to cook a few meals when we didn't want to eat out, awesome balcony with an ocean view (great for relaxing and enjoying the sunset) and very comfortable bed (provided a great night's sleep). Should I ever visit PR again, I will definitely utilize their place again and I thank them for sharing it with us. If you are looking for a nice safe place, in an area with lots to do/eat, for a great price I recommend it 100%.

This is a great place for an adult couple to enjoy - we stayed a week, and we'll be back. Condado is upscale, but accessible. The condo itself is perfectly situated, with a great view of the beach and within walking distance of many wonderful restaurants. The owners were very helpful getting us oriented with advance information. Please don't tell them, but we travel a lot, and this place is a steal. Very clean, with modern lines, it's perfect for those who are traveling on a budget but require excellent security and a water view.

My husband and I made reservations to stayed at this condo for 6 nights and ask to stay for 3 additional nights because we did not want to leave. The condo is very clean, comfortable bed, has beautiful views, great building management, and safe. There are many restaurants nearby, only 10 minutes from the airport, has parking if renting a car. If we decide to go back we will definitely try to reserve to stay at this condo again if available. Highly recommend it! Great communication with the owners. The owners mailed the keys with information on places to eat and places to visit in Puerto Rico. If traveling to Puerto Rico this is the place stay.

After 3 previous visits to Puerto Rico, we decided to try a vacation rental, rather than a more expensive hotel stay with all sorts of hidden fees. And our stay in unit 9213 made us believers. We definitely want to stay in this unit next year! The owners of the unit are wonderful to communicate with. As mentioned in previous reviews, they mailed a listing of local restaurants and activities in advance of our stay. Nice touch. The unit, as described, is tastefully decorated, impeccably clean and pretty much has everything you'll need to enjoy your beach vacation in Puerto Rico. The bed is very comfortable, nice linens, excellent mattress. The new A/C works wonderfully when needed (we loved hearing the ocean in the evening before bed and also left the A/C off while we were away from the unit.) It took no time to completely cool the condo down when we wanted to use the air. We enjoyed the stunning views from the ocean view balcony. Amazing sunrises and sunsets were enjoyed during our stay. The building just underwent new exterior paint and a remodeled lobby and it looks terrific. We enjoyed using the pool a couple of times, but how can you resist getting out in that ocean just across the street? The pool is large and clean -- and the pool area is very comfortable for just sitting around using the free Wi-Fi connection with your laptop. The gym, while basic, at least gives you the sense that you are continuing your work-out regimen. But I found after a few days, I was getting plenty of exercise with my snorkeling and ocean swimming activities. The laundry facilities are clean. The machines: new and very functional. Finally, the reserved parking spot that comes with the unit is a great thing. Parking is hard to come by in the Condado area, and it was great to know we were just a garage-click away from our spot. The building is located in the heart of Condado, on Ashford Avenue. Plenty of restaurants, shopping and night-life are near -- you might not even need a car.

We recently spent a week at the condo after returning from a cruise. It is a beautiful apartment, very tastefully decorated, well maintained, spotless and with everything you need at hand. It is cozy yet extremely comfortable. The view from the terrace is spectacular. I can't tell you how many times we just sat on the terrace and watched the world go by. Very relaxing! The location is ideal as it is close to everything including casinos, restaurants, shopping, and of course, the beach. It was a plus having a laundry room at our disposal, since we had just returned from a cruise. Also, not having to worry about looking for parking.........PRICELESS! The Security personnel were very pleasant, as were other tenants we came in contact with. Mark handled the transaction with the utmost professionalism. We HIGHLY recommend this property and would not hesitate to stay there again. Thanks again, guys, for making our vacation STRESS FREE from start to finish!!! I stayed in this unit for one week in July. This condo is in the perfect location and has an amazing view. The unit is very clean. The building has gated underground parking and a 24 hour security desk (good pick for single female travelers such as myself). Anyone who has been to San Juan can tell you the importance of having free and secure parking. I needed this place at the last minute and Mark was very quick in sending me the keys and garage door opener. Mark also sent along a folder filled with activites and places to eat. This came in very handy, as we pretty much stuck to his list of restaurants and enjoyed every single one we visited. I am defiently going back to P.R. and I certainaly hope Mark's condo is available when I do decide to visit again.

We have rented this condo for the past two summers and have loved it. It is located in a convenient part of San Juan and the Apartment situated on the 16th floor presents a spectacular view of the beach and ocean. The central location allows for easy access to restaurants, shopping and even gambling at a local Hotel. The pictures on the web look identical to the actual condo, clean and classy. The owner is very professional in the process of the rental transaction and very timely. Also don't worry if this is your first time in San Juan, the owner sent us info of Puerto Rico's places of interest to go and a list of suggested places to eat. You can also go across the street to the Marriott and sign up for the tours they offer. Security is great and the secured parking a plus since parking is limited on the street. Laundry machines are conveniently located on the second floor, a plus for us since both of our trips were 12-13 days long. This is not only a fabulous place but the service is outstanding. Loved this place! The view was so gorgeous! The apt. is very cute nicely decorated and very comfortable. The pool was also very nice. The neighborhood is GREAT! The casino's the food, everything was just perfect. I will be going back and staying here aswell.

I went with my boyfriend for a family reunion…and I had the time of my life. The food, warm weather and the sites are amazing!! What can I say, the view was spectacular. I loved getting up in the morning and seeing the ocean view and I loved the afternoon sunset!!! I could have not picked a better location...just a block ½ from the beach, the building was great, 24 hour security, the unit being on the 16th floor, the pool, everything. The unit was extremely well kept not to mention that the owners supply you with some extras, like chairs for the beach, beach towels and more. We went to the beach every morning and after took a dip in the pool…it was fantastic! The unit is located around great dinning locations. I recommend Wasabi, located just a block away. The prices are reasonable and affordable. I am so glad I found this place. Also I have to mention that the transaction was smooth, received everything in a timely matter. I strongly recommend this place to anyone who’s thinking of taking an amazing vacation to my beautiful island Puerto Rico. I will be going back soon and I will be contacting Mark again!!! This was my visit to Puerto Rico. Since I don't speak Spanish, am vegetarian, and had a rental car, I was a bit apprehensive of the unkown. The garage door opener and keys came in mail with an extremely useful list of local eataries plus clear directions to most of popular destinations. Overall extremely pleasant experience.

I AM SO GLAD THAT WE DECIDED TO GO WITH THIS CONDO. THE VIEW FROM THE BALCONY IS SPECTACULAR. I LOVED WAKING UP TO THAT BEAUTIFUL BLUE OCEAN EVERY MORNING. THE BUILDING IS SITUATED 1/2 A BLOCK FROM THE BEACH. IT IS IN A GREAT LOCATION. EVERYTHING THAT WE NEEDED WAS A SHORT WALK AWAY. THE RESTAURANTS DOWN THE BLOCK ARE GREAT AND AREN'T PRICEY AT ALL. THE BUILDING IS QUIET AND WELL KEPT & WE LIKED THAT THERE WAS 24 HOUR SECURITY. THE APARTMENT IS NICELY DECORATED. THE POOL WAS GREAT...WE WERE USUALLY THE ONLY PEOPLE IN IT. THE OWNER SENDS YOU A COMPLETE LIST OF THE THINGS TO DO IN THE AREA...HE'S EVEN GOT HIS LITTLE REVIEW OF THE RESTAURANTS! IT WAS SO HELPFUL. I'M DEFINITLY GOING TO USE THIS PLACE AGAIN. After spending a week in the San Juan, not only is the condo fantastic, but the ocean views out on the balcony are spectular!!! The pictures on this site do NOT do it justice!! After extensive research before my trip and having just returned from you trip, you are not going to find a better deal in terms of location and ammenties for the price!!! Been using Ashford Imperial annually since 1987, thru various agencies. This was the smoothest transaction thus far, having the keys and parking gate control mailed to you rather than pick them up in Isla Verde or elsewhere. A nice arrangement!

A friend and I stayed at the condo for 1 week in Sept. before going on a cruise. Great location, nice building, and comfortable accommodations. Recommend the gelato place next door (Piu Bello) - we went everyday! Having the secure parking is a must if you plan to rent a car. Rental process was easy and owners are very accommodating. Excellent vacation!

I stayed in the apartment for Memorial Day weekend and had a great time. The owner was very friendly and gave us a lot of information and directions to many different places around the area. The apartment itself was very nicely decorated with a beautiful view of the beach from both the balcony and the bedroom. Close to everything including bars, restaurants and shopping areas. All within walking distances. Overall great experience would book apartment again on next visit.

I stayed at this condo in January 2004. Overall, I was extremely pleased with the experience. The owner is very friendly and the transaction was very simple. The unit is very clean and functional. The location is great -- right across the street from the big Marriott. The balcony has clear views to the ocean, and the parking space is a big positive as parking in the area is difficult, especially on weekend nights.

1-23-04 This condo is a wonderful place to stay while in Puerto Rico. The convenience to everything is such a bonus including shopping, grocery, beach and resturants. The owners were easy to deal with - no hassles and the others in the complex were very helpful with local infomation.

I have stayed in this apartment twice and had a wonderful experience both times. The apartment is very comfortable and close to just about everything. The owners are great to deal with and the place is always clean and well kept With great views of Condado and the beach. It has become my home away from home when I travel to Puerto Rico. Can't wait to return.

The apartment is beautiful and the location is incredible; right in the heart of Condado close to so many fine dining and shopping establishments.The view is spectacular as well. More importantly, the transaction with the owners was so positive that I will be a repeat customer.
