Up in the hills above Lahaina, this is a beautiful, spacious ohana (mother-in-law apartment), which is actually a private wing of a larger home. There is a nice kitchen, spacious bath with walk-in tiled shower, comfortable furnishings and patio with grill and view of the ocean - sunsets included. Although attached to the owner's home, this unit is very private, and Lee, the owner, is very accommodating - but doesn't bother you unless you have a question. This rental is away from the hubbub of touristy Lahaina and the multitude of hotels and condos. Quiet. Yet just a few minutes drive from all of the attractions and ocean front parks. This is by far the best value in the area.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway.

I stayed at this home with my husband and 4 month old daughter and it was the best place by far that we've stayed in. Super clean, and awesome views. The owners had set up a crib for our daughter too! They were the by far the friendliest rental owners we've encountered so far. We wish we could have stayed longer. The location was awesome close to everything you wanted to get to. Perfect for our family. I'm writing this review a year and a half later because we've been wanting to go back! Best vacation - and this rental made it so!

Situated in upper Lahaina this property is located among the elite. The homes in this residential neighboorhood are valued at approximately $1,000,000.00 - $3,500,000.00 USD. (Their are various homes for sale in the area). The drive to this property reminds me of Mulholland Drive in LA. I was intially confused by fact the owner listed it as an "apartment". I would call it more of a bungalow next to a house. Once past the golden matalic gate my expectations were exceeded in every way imaginable. The unit is very bright , airy, and features approximately 850 square feet of living space. The unit is ultra chic, modern, and is best suited for those who desire privacy. It is located 5 minutes to gas, shopping, dining, movie theatre, etc.) It's worth mentioning there are two TV's, DVD player, microwave, microwave oven, silverware, wine opener, pots, pans, cups, refrigerator, internet, phone book, beach towels, spacious bathroom with a oversized stone shower. Their are also two entrances and in the back their was a table with chairs, BBQ grill, lots of flowers, and a lounge chair. Also, the bed was plush, soft, and very comfortable. I believe it to be one of those posturpedic beds? with the memory foam. There is contemporary art work throughout, plants, lots of mirrors, and interior looks to be decorated with Pier One furnishings. If I had the choice of Marriott, Hilton, Westin, or this property. I would choose this place without reservation.

My husband has family in Lahaina and we have been visiting for many years. It was nice to return each evening to a nice, clean apartment in a quiet neighborhood. We were able to have our one-year-old nap quietly mid-afternoon with no interuptions. It is not beachfront, but it has the most spectacular view of the sea and neighboring islands. Of course with it being in the hills, it is cooler than Lahaina with a gentle breeze especially in the morning. It is only 3 or so miles from downtown Lahaina. The owners were great and very welcoming! It was also great to see such diverse wildlife along the mountain roads such as ducks, sheep, mongoose, and brown-speckled birds that remind me of AZ quail but not sure what they are. Anyhow, we had a wonderful time and hope to return the following summer!!! Mahalo! Trisha and Ryan
