Norge Vatn Stølhus (That's Norwegian for "Norway Lake cabin"!)
Your rental includes the main cabin, two-car garage and a guest cottage perched on the shores of Norway Lake.
Details:
Lovely, comfortably furnished, two-bedroom, lake home with well-equipped kitchen. Cabin has an electric fireplace and is air conditioned. Cozy, lake-side, one-bedroom guest cottage. Two bathrooms and complete full-sized laundry facilities. Sleeps eight, linens provided. All beds are queen size, except for bunk beds. Satellite TV with XM Radio, CD, VCR and DVD player. Good water pressure, and no rusty well water at this lake home...the water softener is well stocked with salt!
Breathtaking views of Norway Lake from cabin and cottage, with lovely sunrises and sunsets. Private setting on a peaceful 600-acre lake, complete with resident loons and eagles. Fishing boat with motor on a lift, canoe, and private dock located steps away from the door.
Level elevation to the lake. Two decks - one lake side. A variety of comfortable outdoor furniture. Fire pit for bonfires, gas grill, two-car garage -- one stall is over-sized so if you bring your own boat (or other toys) you can protect it from the elements. Fish off the dock for pan fish -- kids love doing this! Garage has great sink set up for cleaning up from outdoor activities. Good swimming lake with sandy bottom. Boat launch is close by.
Conveniently located less than three miles from the town of Pine River (restaurants, groceries, bait, shopping) and the paved Paul Bunyan Trail which is 100 miles long. Many golf courses within a ten mile radius. Canoe from cabin to entire Whitefish Chain of Lakes via the Pine River, which flows through Norway Lake. Less than 30 miles from Brainerd/Baxter -- close enough for convenience, far enough to escape the hustle and bustle of other vacationers.
A heavily wooded minimum maintenance road is 1/3 mile away and is excellent for taking a nature walk or going for a bike ride (two adult-size bikes are provided). The property is located on a paved road, so roller-blading can be done out the front door.
Weekly, monthly, or seasonal occupancy. Discounted rates for multi-week stays. Weekly rate plus deposit. No smoking permitted and no pets. Minimum rental age is 25.

Why the Owner Chose Crosslake (Cross Lake)
We love Norway Lake, and when we had the chance to acquire Norge Vatn Stolhus from our relatives, we jumped at the chance. We enjoy sharing our lovely, peaceful lake with others.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
This area is lovely. It is heavily wooded and very quiet. The lake is a nice size, and with the river running through it, affords many opportunities for exploration. You can kick back and relax, enjoying gorgeous scenery, or you can be really active and enjoy an array of outdoor activities. We look forward to sharing our retreat with you soon!
Owner's Map of Crosslake (Cross Lake)
We have had our personal lake home on Norway Lake since 1993. It is our favorite place to be, and we visit it year round.

Thank you and Ron for a great week!! It was so relaxing and just what the family needed!! We grilled just about every meal and that grill is sooo nice!! I might have to get one like that when mine needs to be retired! We were out on the lake in the boat watching the fireworks show and that was fun too! (except for the mosquitos!!) It was a really fun week for us, I'm going to make sure I spread the word about your cabin!! Thanks again!!
