This Condominium is a spectacular, three bedroom (including sleeping den), direct oceanfront unit at the northern end of Kaanapali Beach in the beautiful Papakea Resort. Located on the (top) fourth floor of an elevator serviced cluster, this Condominium spans two floors with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean along with unobstructed views of the Islands of Lanai and Molokai. The living room has a large-screen TV, with satellite and DVD/VCR, a deluxe stereo with CD player, and an outdoor lanai (deck) overlooking the ocean.
The bedrooms consist of a master suite with a king-size bed, a queen-size loft bedroom overlooking the living room and ocean with its own private bath, and a den/sleeping area with a queen-size Murphy (pull down)bed. If abundant privacy is an issue, the sleeping area may not suit your needs. There are three full baths, a fully-equipped kitchen and a complete laundry area. Papakea Resort is located on 12 lush acres of oceanfront property.

Staying at this condo, literally feet from the ocean was an experience of a lifetime! We spotted lots of whales from our lanai, and were able to snorkel and swim in the ocean right in front of our unit. My husband and I shared the condo with our son and his wife for a week in January and it worked out perfectly. We had plenty of room and were extremely comfortable. The description of the property and the layout of the condo are accurately described. All the beds, including the Murphy bed were quite comfortable, and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. The owner was extremely helpful in answering all our questions and even accommodated our request for modified check-in and check-out times. We would definitely recommend this property to friends or relatives. We are hoping to go back soon.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, age 55+, girls getaway.

We stayed in this 3 bedroom?/3 bath unit - 3 families shared the unit (my wife and I in the in the "sleeping den") my married daughter's family with 1 x 12month old baby, and my sons's family have a 2year old. The unit is open plan and there is only 1suite with a door closing off to the sitting room. The upstairs loft suite is open on both sides so all sound travels to and fro - the result is that when the kids are napping the rest of the folks have to tiptoe around or go out or go to the small balcony. There is also a pullout dble bed in the living room. The open sleeping den has very little/no hanging/cupboard space and the pullout bed is the worst bed I have ever (not) slept on. The place is clean and well appointed and the staff were very helpful. The location is great, but I never slept for 12 days!
Owner response:Maui is open (airy) style living that allows ocean breezes to circulate thoughout. Sofa bed in the sleeping den has been replaced with a new Murphy (pull down) queen bed. This should address and comfort concerns. Guest was warned that over six people gets a little tight. Had eight.

The place was nice. It was clean and comfortable. It was only two bedrooms with a den that had a bed in it, so I think by saying they had 3 bedrooms was little misleading-there was no door... The view was great. I think Papakea is more for the older couple or a couple without children. There were alot of rules and we did get some looks because our kids were playing and splashing in the pool. (they were not being obnoxious).
Recommended for:Age 55+.
