We usually vacation in the Garden City/Murrells Inlet, SC area, but during this years vacation we decided to explore the Eastern Shore to see what it had to offer. We planned to start in Crisfield and travel up the coast to the Bay Bridge. Our time spent in Crisfield was well worth it and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Owners Fran and Keith's hospitality were second to none. They were absolutely wonderful and went out of their way to make sure we were welcomed, comfortable, and had what we needed. Our accommodations were top notch as well. The condo was beautiful, well-maintained and perfectly clean. In addition, the atmosphere and charm of Crisfield was such that we would love to return sometime soon. We were fascinated watching the people at the city dock. The friendly captains were willing to answer our questions as were the townsfolk. It seemed that just about everything was within walking distance of the condo. We enjoyed pulling our boat up to the local ice cream shop to enjoy a hand-dipped treat. The seafood we ate was out of this world-very tasty. The waters of the bay were so soothing and relaxing and soul-reviving. Don't come to Crisfield looking for anything fast-paced. This is were you come when you want to enjoy nature, people and each other.

Fran, we got home a bit ago, and I wanted to send you a quick note right away to let you know what a fabulous time we had – it was myself, my “getaway” friend, and our two respective 9 year old boys. The weekend could not have gone better, and my only regret is that we could not stay longer. The boys are now huge fans of crabbing, and the only things they wanted to play with for two days was a string, a chicken neck, and a net. Of course, the crabs were never in any real danger . We loved the condo, its tasteful furnishings, and most of all, the view. We watched some amazing storms roll in, which were first rate shows all to themselves. We visited Janes Island, walked around quaint Crisfield, and partook of Smith Island cake – not sure which I enjoyed most! Your property manager was very friendly and helpful – she made it easy for us to get inside and figure out what’s what. Everyone agreed, adults and kids alike, that we want to come back as soon as we can make it happen. . .so, hopefully I’ll be back in touch. Thank you for a lovely weekend,

Marina view delight

This condo offers a great view of the marina. Anyone who appreciates watercraft will enjoy seeing the variety of boats at anchor in the marina. The unit is conveniently located near the pool, but pool noise is not an issue. The listing and photos accurately show a well decorated, clean and well maintained living area. The owners are especially accommodating and were willing to work with me to suit my schedule and special needs during our stay. The Crab Place opened in May and it is a welcome addition to the choices of restaurants in Crisfield. My wife and I enjoyed our stay and would gladly stay here again.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Owner response: Glad that you enjoyed your stay. There are a couple of new activities in town. The Crisfield beach has opened with restrooms and sand volley ball. Crisfield Boat Rentals offers skiffs and pontoon boats for cruising the Tangier Sound, going up river to the campground or going to the white sand beaches around Janes Island. We hope to soon be able to offer packages with a condo rental, boat slip and boat.

I recently stayed for a week at this lovely condo with family and friends. The day we got there it was raining buckets and the town side streets were flooded, but once we got to the condo, all was well. The accomodations were just like advertised, beautiful scenery from every room. The fridge went out the first nite, but was quickly fixed that day. It was wonderful parking underneath the covered parking and being so close to the pool. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. It would be nice if there were more for children to do in town (putt putt, arcade, etc.), but we did find things to do. Took a day trip to Chincoteague which we all thoroughly enjoyed. Thanks!

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Girls' Week 2011

Wow, what a great stay we had. We were a group of 6 women at our first family reunion. I have known the owners for years and would have expected nothing less than what was provided. Tasteful decorating and soothing colors added to a relaxing stay. Plenty of linens and paper products were provided.The unit was immaculate. A nice touch was the basket full of brochures and restaurant menus so we could more easily plan our activities. But you don't have to do anything, either, except lounge by the sparkling pool and view spectacular sunsets from the balcony. Another bonus is that you are within walking distance to several restaurants, a bank, and the city dock. It's an easy drive to Ocean City if you need a beach visit, or go down to Chincoteague. There you can tour a lighthouse, swim in the ocean or drive through the park looking for those famous ponies. On the way back from Chincoteague we stopped at Linton's, a fish market and restaurant north of Crisfield on 413. They have great crab, you can get it steamed and eat it right there or buy it shelled and take it "home" (which we did). Made a fantastic chopped salad! Make sure you visit Gordon's one morning for their fresh sausage breakfast sandwich. Very tasty and inexpensive. Plus, you get to meet some of the locals who congregate there. I would definitely recommend this property, it has just enough civilization within reach, but is still very small town to make for a nice quiet stay.

Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We enjoyed our visit to Crisfield immensely. We loved the views and the sunsets. The condo is great! The visit here finished off a lovely holiday in the USA with our son and grand children. We have enjoyed Williamsburg, Baltimore and Crisfield in particular.

All I can say is "wow", this place is amazing! The condo is beautiful and so well decorated. We love the views and the weather has been perfect the entire time. We hate to leave this paradise. We played cards, the boys fished - 29 croakers (catch & release). We visited Tangier Island and ate at Waterman's Inn and the Cove (you must have the cornbread and apples). Hope to visit here again. Thanks for everything!!

Fran and Keith; We had a wonderful time here in Crisfield. Your condo is just beautiful, so big and spacious and comfortable we don't want to leave. The view is just awesome. We met so many nice people here from condo owners, vacationers and people who live and work here. We loved the crabbing here, can't believe we caught over 100 crabs! It was a very peaceful and relaxing vacation. Thank you and we hope to come back soon.

Fran; We enjoyed our stay at your lovely condo. The sunsets were so beautiful. We crabbed and fished and had fun doing it off the piers right out side our condo. It was a vacation we needed to help relax. Thank you for everything.

We had such a relaxing and enjoyable vacation here in your condo & enjoying the peacefulness of Crisfield. Fran & Keith were the perfect host- they even offered us their bounty of crabs to steam. I certainly plan on visiting again for many summers to come! Thanks for a PERFECT vacaton.

Perfection at it's finest! Easy to find, a view that will keep you looking over and over at the scenary, perfectly maintained quarters, and very friendly residents to keep you feeling comfortable. The highlight of every evening is the gorgeous sunset. Great facility all around and plenty of amenities for total comfort! I would return to this unit anytime!

We enjoyed our stay at Crisfield. The condo was very comfortable! The kids enjoyed fishing and crabbing off the pier. We visited the beautiful island of Assateaque where we saw the wild ponies. A great relaxing week!

Your condo served us above & beyond. Excellent interior and view of exterior. The relaxing frame of mind instilled by this location was well received by one and all. Crisfield seems to be dwindling away. I shurly hope recovery is in the very near future. Thank you so much.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The condo wad everything we needed and the surroundings were pleasant and restful. It made us feel very much at home. The telescope was a fun and unique feature. We especially enjoyed watching the birds in their nest! We would love to come again. Thanks much.

It was a pleasure staying in your beautiful Crisfield home. Everything was perfect and the home is well equipped for comfort. Our boys enjoyed the pool and kayacking. The crabs were bountiful and we only wish we could have stayed longer. Many thanks for a relaxing and memorable vacation!

Our stay was short but we enjoyed the sunsets and expecially watching the Osprey! We were here both on business and relaxation as we are decoy collectors. Visited with Oliver Lawson - local carver known all over. THe highlight of our visit was visiting with Ida Ward Linton- daughter of Steve Ward (Ward Brothers). Ida is 87 years but we love the history and enjoy talking with the old timers and what they can share. Condo is beautiful. Thanks.

Fishing off pier was very good on bloodworms: Croakers 15 - 30 Rock 1 Crabs 2 - 3 Spt 3 - 10 Had a nice fish fry. Went to Smith Island. The restaurant was really good! Crab cakes, soft crabs excellent. Try the stewed tomatoes too! Very quiet! Nice! (Crisfield) Jogging through town was easy. No traffic!. Also canoeing at Janes Island Park was outstanding and great exercise.

The condo and pool were very comfortable. Fishing off the pier was better than the head boat. Caught lots of hardheads. The big flounder got away. We did a day trip to Chincoteaque and Assateaque. A full day. Visisted the pony center were the kids saw a 3 day old colt. Lunch at Dan's, then on to Assateaque, saw the wild ponies and went to the ocean. The Assateaque beach was as nice as the Carribean beaches. We ate at Sidestreet with locals - food was good. Also ate at The Cove with cousins from Princess Anne. Took the cruise to Smith Island. Nice boat ride. Food at Bayside was ok. Don't expect much. The cake was good. If you have bicycles, take them on the boat. All in all a good 3 day trip. May return for a long weekend coming up from the Outer Banks next time.

Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful condo. We were visiting Crisfield for a family reunion and found that the only surviving uncle in our family our of a family of 9 children lives upstairs! What a wonderful experience. Thanks again for providing such a relaxing environment.

Once upon a time three couples who were from PA wanted a vacation to relax and get away. Our friend Fran said she knew a good place to see where we could go. Enjoy some swimming, boting, eating seafood, all day and at night see a music show. She said there was a place called Crisfield, Maryland where we could paly day after day. So we took her advice, made arrangements, packed our things, found our condo a delight, so very right. When arriving that day, se decided to take a cruise to Tangier Island which was on our list. Crossing the beautiful Tangier Sound, a very historic place we found. The six enjoyed our vacation away. We enjoyed swimming, sightseeing, and feasting all day. We played cards, drank some wine, we had such a good time. We are relaxed and now ready to return home to our families we love so. Thank you for sharing your Condo so right. Everything was such a delight.

We had a wonderful time here. Your place hooked mom on her own place and we will get to benefit from it! The crabbing and fishing is better than Cape Hatteras. Even the dog had fun. What a great place the Tiki bar is too!

We loved the view, peace & relaxing that we hardly get a chance to do at home. Can't wait to come again. The cove restaurant was a bit pricey but vood and service was good.

Thank-you! Thank-you! We enjoyed our stay tremendously! Such a beautiful ondo - we were able to relax- so peaceful. Went on day trips to OC. Could not wait to return to 'our' retreat in Crisfield! Went on trip to Smith Island - we really enjoyed- kids riding bikes and golf cart. Hint for future visitors- do not eat at Bay Inn at Smith Island - too expensive and food is BAD!! Crisfield food was delicious. Really recommend the Sidestreet for crabs & clams - food was great. We are going to miss it here. Hope to be back Thank-you again for a perfect get away.

The water, sound of sea gulls, sitting on the screened porch at night, the sunsets and lots of crabs-- what a great setting to relax and renew! Enjoyed walking around town, going in the shops, and eating at Waterman's Inn. We bought crabs, shelled them here and made crab cakes - delicious! Berlin is worth the trip. People in town are very friendly and interesting. Enjoyed this little break in our busy lives. Thanks!
