What a GREAT House! We rented it with a classmate and his wife for a week leading up to my class reunion. It was everything I hoped for and more. I felt like we were staying in a brand new home. It was close to everything. We will be Back! Thanks Roy! Jim & Martha YoungDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My first thought on entering the house was that the pictures definitely don't do it justice. The house was much more beautiful than the photos show, yet very comfortable, so you didn't feel you needed to walk on eggshells. We were a family of three adults and two children, here for a family reunion, and the house was the perfect home base for all our activities. We had lots of other relatives meet us there, or come for visits, and the house easily expanded to suit our needs. It is very close to some active bars/restaurants, so the activity level at night on the weekends was a little loud, but it added to the vacation atmosphere. During the morning, it was very peaceful to sit on the deck and watch people getting ready for their pontoon rentals. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the place was immaculate! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this house to family or friends (or strangers) and would be happy to stay there again next time we're in the Akron/Canton area.Did you find this review helpful? When my wife and I first walked into this rental for a tour we were surprised beyond belief. The decor is nautical and very well done. The furnishings are all beautiful; and we could tell a lot of effort has been put into the remodeling of this reasonably priced rental unit.Being walking distance to the lake is a big plus; and I understand we could rent a pontoon boat while we stayed here if we liked. We will definitely be back in the summer to take advantage of a great deal.Owner response: I appreciate your kind comments about my vacation property. And, I look forward to seeing you in the future. Roy Baine, Owner

My fiance and I stayed here while visiting family in Ohio from San Diego. As soon as we walked into the house, it just felt good. There is such a warmth and cozy feeling about the place. It was clean, beautifully decorated, and provided us with every amenity we could have possibly needed and more. The beds were comfortable, and it was a great experience. The owner also has a boat rental place right next door, so the convenience of being able to rent a boat and spend the day on the lakes was a huge plus! We will be coming back to Ohio next summer for another visit, and will definitely be looking to stay here again. There is nothing negative to say about this property, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a spacious, comfortable, and quality stay on the Portage Lakes!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Thank you so much, Linday, for the 5 star-review of my vacation property. Looking forward to your next visit! Roy Baine, Owner
