UPPER LEVEL : Lovely open great room on the main floor includes formal dining for 10 and comfortable living room with TV/VCR/DVD players. Two bedrooms fully furnished with queen beds and two full bathrooms washer/dryer utility area on the hallway. Fully equipped kitchen. Upper deck runs the entire side of the house to enjoy the amazing mountains views and sounds of the creek from the comfortable rockers and swing.
You can enjoy a beautifull mountain view from the great room windows and the deck.
LOWER LEVEL: Lower level includes two separate sleeping and entertainment rooms, the first bedroom includes a king bed, TV/DVD, table games .
The second bedroom called the bunk room includes 2 bunk beds to sleep 4 young adults, a bumper pool table and other toys.
This level also has a complete bathroom, full deck with BBQ, table and chairs.
You can hear the rushing water from the creek below, and a beautiful mountain view.
ACCESS: We have a paved road all the way up to the property, year around access, and ample parking. Beautiful surrounding wooded area for walks and to enjoy nature. We are secluded and away, but close to shopping, resturants and hopsitals.

Our family is coming back to this beautiful, very clean and cozy home away from home. The kids loved it, they had their own area downstairs with cable TV, movies and games. We had a beautiful retreat on the main floor with fantastic views, lots of rockers and swing to pass the most wonderful vacation ever. When we arrived the house was not open like we were told and we had to wait 40 minutes with 5 hungry kids and groceries in the van before someone came and let us in. On the other hand, the house was nice, clean and big enough for all of us with plenty of hot water for showers and baths as well as great water pressure. The water tasted great too. We loved hearing the creek from the porch and watching the humming brids feed a few feet away from us. The location is perfect. Close to the Blueridge Parkway and other towns we love to visit.Owner response: I am sorry , the house should be opened by 3:00pm . I am glad you had a pleasant stay. Hope you come back soon.

We enjoyed our mountain getaway. There was plenty of room for 2 couples with 5 children. The home was equipped with everything needed from kitchen utensils to games for the children. The fridge stopped working during our stay but it was repaired within 2 days and the caretaker was very nice. We enjoyed the sound of the creek and sitting on the porch each morning before breakfast. The home was very clean and decorated with lots of charm. We enjoyed ziplining during our stay and visited the nearby towns of Sylva and Waynesville.Owner response: I am glad you had a good time, I sincerely hope you will come back...thank you for your review.

We had the most wonderfull time at Sleepy Bears Den in the beautiful mountains, it was quiet, and all the flowers were blooming, the sound of the water runing thru the creek was amazing, the house was very clean and had all the details for a great stay away from home. Our family loved this cabin so much that we returned this past Christmas. The surrounding areas are beautiful and the cabin is well-stocked with everything you might need. Plenty of space inside allowed us to read quietly, play games, or watch TV. There were also two balconies that offered outstanding views of the surrounding mountains, the bubbling creek below us, and amazing sunsets. One night we were treated to a snowfall. Our kids loved playing in the snow and exploring the woods. The cabin is just minutes away from Waynesville, Maggie Valley, and the entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway, making shopping, sightseeing, and entertainment convenient. This was a great trip. There was something for everyone here. While my husband and I relaxed on the rocking chairs, listening to the creek our kids were able to explore. During the day it was a short drive to the National Forest to explore, quaint shopping in one of the towns, horesback riding, and many other countless activities. The cabin had all of the comforts of home, it was both well equiped and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay so much we have begun to plan another.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway.

WE FOUND THIS PROPERTY TO BE EXCELLENT FOR FOLKS THAT WANT TO RELAX AS WELL AS OTHERS THAT SEEK A MORE ACTIVE VACATION... ALL PLACES OF INTEREST ARE CLOSE BY. THE MOUNTAINS ARE BEAUTIFULL AND EXPLORING THE LITTLE TOWNS AROUND THE PROPERTY IS A VERY RELAXING ADVENTURE... RETURNING HOME AFTER A DAY OF SIGHTHING AND EXPLORING IS GREAT... LAST YEAR I SPENT CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEARS. MY FAMILY AND I HAD THE TIME OF OUR LIVES, ESPECIALLY THE CHILDREN. THE PROPERTY HAS A BEAUTIFUL CREEK THAT RUNS THROUGH IT, GENERATING THE MOST RELAXING SOUND.
