You may see flocks of ducks and water birds, a heron fishing for dinner, or still blue waters under blue skies. Come experience this charming log cabin. Gladwin House was originally an oyster farm, built over 100 years ago. It has since been upgraded and updated with modern conveniences like indoor plumbing. The living room is cozy and comfortable, with a river rock fireplace, french doors and a beautiful view of Hood Canal. With four cheerful bedrooms, a daybed by the fireplace, and a fully equipped kitchen, you will feel right at home. Gladwin Beach House is at the end of the Hood Canal. In the summer, the waters are warm enough to swim and play in when the tide comes in over the tide flats. The warm water is a rarity in Puget Sound. Put the kayak in the water and explore the Theler Wetlands and Union River Estuary. Take a nature hike, or mountain bike nearby trails. Relish and enjoy the quiet and peaceful picturesque water views here. At night,sit by the fire pit; sing songs, tell jokes and roast marshmallows. In the winter, relax in the hot tub and watch the water birds flock. Maybe drink hot chocolate, enjoy a good book by the cozy river rock fireplace, watch your favorite movie or play board games.
