Come to the water... a delightful getaway at Gladwin Beach. Just the place to make memories with family and friends;laugh and love;connect with and enjoy each other.
Gladwin Beach House is located on the North Shore of Hood Canal; the sunny side of the Canal. You may see flocks of ducks and water birds, a heron fishing for dinner, or still blue waters under blue skies.
Come experience this charming log cabin. Gladwin House was originally an oyster farm, built over 100 years ago. It has since been upgraded and updated with modern conveniences like indoor plumbing. The living room is cozy and comfortable, with a river rock fireplace, french doors and a beautiful view of Hood Canal. With four cheerful bedrooms, a daybed by the fireplace, and a fully equipped kitchen, you will feel right at home.
Gladwin Beach House is at the end of the Hood Canal. In the summer, the waters are warm enough to swim and play in when the tide comes in over the tide flats. The warm water is a rarity in Puget Sound. Put the kayak in the water and explore the Theler Wetlands and Union River Estuary. Take a nature hike, or mountain bike nearby trails. Relish and enjoy the quiet and peaceful picturesque water views here. At night, sit by the fire pit; sing songs, tell jokes and roast marshmallows.
In the winter, relax in the hot tub and watch the water birds flock. Maybe drink hot chocolate, enjoy a good book by the cozy river rock fireplace, watch your favorite movie or play board games.
We invite you to come and enjoy the serenity at Gladwin Beach House.

On a sunny day the tide flats warm up, and when the tide comes in the water is remarkably warm - great for swimming!

My wife and I took our two young children (2 & 5) to Gladwin House for a weekend and had a great time. The house was clean, had everything we needed, and the amenities are great - the kids' favorite parts were the hot tub and making (eating really) s'mores around the fire pit. The setting is really beautiful as well - we were lucky enough to have see the full moon rise over the Hood Canal on a clear night. The owners were very helpful and accommodating. They even provided some toys for our kids to play with, including some hobby horses that were the stars of the show. We had a great weekend and would definitely go back.

The owners were so responsive to our needs from making the reservation to meeting us at the property to make sure we had everything we needed for a relaxing and fun weekend. My three grandkids stayed so busy and the adults were able to relax and enjoy the view from the deck. I am already considering when our next visit to Gladwin Beach may be. I want to share this place with more friends and family. Thanks Ai Ling and Lance. We'll see you again.

Thank you so much for allowing us to spend a wonderful weekend in your most charming beach house! It was a weekend full of great friends, great food, decent weather, and lots of relaxation! The beds were very comfortable, and we just loved all of the little touches throughout the house that made it feel very homey. Not at all as though we were staying somewhere too stuffy to really let our hair down! Thanks again, and I am sure we will be back again in the summer so that we may get some fun in the sun!

What a wonderful place! We had a fabulous time for my husband's birthday weekend. The home is so cozy and has so many special touches that make you feel right at home. Thanks to Ai Ling for her help in planning the weekend and pulling off a surprise getaway for my husband and friends without a hitch! We really enjoyed the house, hot tub, waterfront and great fire pit. Despite the chilly and dreary weather, we had a wonderful time! I would definitely recommend this as a great getaway for family or friends.

We took our extended family and kids here for Mother's Day and everyone had a great time. The house is very clean and comfortable and has plenty of room for a large family. The kitchen is well outfitted and we cooked a lot. The access to the canal can't be beat and we spent hours sitting on the deck watching the neighbor eagle and herons. The hosts are wonderful too and very easy to work with and eager to make your stay a great one.
Owner response:It is a fun kitchen to cook in - it is equipped with 1950's era appliances, which still work great!

What a wonderful get-a-way! Tom and I had such a relaxing weekend. Listening to the birds, watching the tide come in, sinking into the hot tub. Lance made us feel so welcome by starting a fire before we even arrived! We can't thank you enough.

We were here because of our house fire - it's been a wonderful place to find refuge - to heal. We only live up the road. It's been great to be so close to our own home to see the progress. The owners of this home have made us feel so welcome - this is a memory making time for us. I pray the family here for Thanksgiving is blessed. Many heart felt thanks to our hosts!!!!
