My family stayed in this beautiful seaside villa. As soon as we drove within ten minutes of Villa Stella we realized that the entire area is very special. It is situated on a peninsula that is uncrowded and the relatively few homes are definitely upscale. The villa itself is located at the top of a small mountain, overlooking the Aegean Sea. It is one of the most lovely views that we have seen (and we are relatively well-traveled). The owners, Vasso and her husband, live close by which is a blessing. They were extremely warm and courteous in every way. When my younger daughter landed a bad case of sunburn and we had to postpone our outbound flight by 2 days, they not only were flexible about the change but made sure that we had proper medication by contacting a nearby pharmacy and even drove us to a physician so that my daughter could be seen by a medical professional! If you want to experience luxurious living and relax next to a beautiful pool or on a veranda with a magnificent view of the Mediterranean I would heartily recommend this rental to everyone.

We would highly recommend this beautiful,clean villa with breathtaking views especially from the living area and the gorgeous, crystal clear infinity pool! Great for familys. It has all the amenities and comforts of home. Nearby archeological sites easily accessible by car. Close to the towns of Marathanos and Nea Makri and only 1 hour from Athens.Excellent local guide available.

Thank you for a lovely stay in your beautifully positioned villa. The views of the see were breathtaking and were truly appreciated. As a base for an independent traveler, the villa has been in an ideal location with easy access to Athens by driving to the metro; an easy drive to Delphi and finally to explore the Peloponnese. The swimming pool proved to be a great way to relax and cool down after a day spent exploring Greece and its ancient history. Raphael, London

Amazing Grecian Holiday

My husband and I travelled to Greece to celebrate two 40th wedding anniversaries (my parents and our very dear friends). We had the absolute pleasure and good fortune of staying at Villa Stella! The house was amazing…the view was stunning and we enjoyed the pool more than you can imagine! Vasso was a true gem! We enjoyed the many conversations we had with her and appreciated her hospitality, humor, knowledge and recommendations. Vasso and her sister, Despina, ensured the 40th wedding anniversary celebration was a huge success by arranging for a private chef and providing such a welcoming environment! Despina and Vasso were truly gracious hosts and we could not have asked for anything more! We took Vasso’s and Despina’s recommendation and used Stavros as our tour guide. There are not enough words to describe the value he added! His knowledge of the country, its history, culture and people was spectacular. He was so kind and accommodating! To quote my husband…”he walks on water”! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us! We had such an amazing time!

Our trip to Greece and staying at Sella Villa with family and friends for our 40th wedding anniversary was AMAZING . The accommodations were outstanding and the views stunning. It was perfect for the 10 of us.Great location for a getaway yet close to great beaches and good restaurants. Vasso and Despina were great hostess and helpful with our travel needs. We did use Stavros as our travel guide he was extremely helpful with transfers and driving us to Dephi.Rented a van from Clio rent a car very good service. All we can say is WOW! Vasso (and Despina), thank you so much for all of your wonderful hospitality. Your home was perfect for our both the "sixtysomething's" and the "thirtysomethings". The views were stunning and the pool inviting!!! You were extremely helpful and accommodating, specifically during the 40th wedding aniversery festivities...one of our favorite nights and we enjoyed toasting, talking and laughing with you both! We decided to use Stavros as our tour guide...by far the smartest thing we did our entire stay!!! He was extremely intellegent, kind and patient;) Laying out by the pool and Schinias Beach was the perfect ending to the vacation. Thank you Vasso and we hope to see you again.

Villa Stella Review

We arrived in Athens after a Med cruise on NCL. We rented a 9 seat van from the owner recommended Clio car rental. The vehicle was delivered to the airport as stated, but we found the van an older, well used, vehicle with 65000 km and absolutely no vehicle options. Do not get the GPS as there are numerous areas where it will not work, like getting to the house. The directions to the property provided were adequate, but could be improved by indicating kilometer distances between turn points. We met the owner at the entrance to the subdivision, but found no gate to the gated community and only occasionally a guard that never challenged our nonstop passage. Arriving at the house we found the property to be generally surface clean. However, items such as the coffee maker would not even percolate because it was so dirty, the pool had not been cleaned and the house smelled of cigarette smoke. The owners lived on the lower floor and continued their smoking that filtered upward until we addressed the issue with them. If prospective renters typically sleep on a softer mattress, note that these are rock hard. The satellite TV service did not work and the owner did not make any efforts to reinstate service. The house has a great view at a remote location, but it takes say 20 minutes to get out to the main road for restaurants, shopping, etc. We have rented previously, typically at ski areas (Aspen, etc) where the properties are expertly maintained, but found the maintainence lacking for a property in this category.

Owner response:We are sorry, our guests found so many things "lacking". It was unfortunate that they arrived 1 hour after a major storm that destroyed the TV satellite system and threw leaves and broken branches all over the yard and the pool. We hired maintenance workers to clean up the yard and pool and fix the satellite system. They smoked. One of our guests was very sensitive to smoke even in the open air. We were not able to fix the satellite system in time and instead offered our guests a rebate. They accepted it enthusiastically. Sometimes, like with every home, things happen that may be out of our control. We can certainly address clogged coffee makers.

This was one of the best vacations I have ever taken, and the accommodations were stellar. The views from the property are the main attraction: from almost every window in the house you have amazing views of the sea laid out before you. Basking in the pool while gazing out on the bright blue ocean is an experience everyone should have at least once in their lifetime. Multiple patios that allow you to sunbathe or relax in the shade were a nice bonus. Inside, the house is well-appointed with nice details (like marble floors and pretty bathrooms). I loved sitting in the living room with the floor-to-ceiling windows during the heat of the day and reading. The property gives you a feeling of being "away from it all," in the lap of luxury, yet within half an hour there are multiple fun towns to explore, sandy beaches, restaurants, shopping. It's close enough to Athens, Delphi and Sounion (all of which I highly recommend) and yet it's away from all the hustle and bustle--which was the perfect mix. Local restaurants were yummy, and you can't beat eating in your bathing suit and sarong (talk about casual!). Of course the property was clean, well-maintained, great customer service-- we had no complaints and would love to return someday.

thank you so much for all of your wonderful hospitality. Your home was perfect for our three families -(eight people total). The views are stunning!! You were extremely helpful and accommodating and the use of your computer was crucial in allowing us to check our 'stand-by status'. We took your advice regarding some of the tours: the all day Athens and the all day tour of Peloponese. We decided to use Stavros as our tour guide...and thank God we did! We have travelled to many countries, but there's no way we would have enjoyed driving into 'Plaka'. Stavros is a true gem. We would highly recommend letting Stavros give you and your family the royal treatment while you sit back and listen to this amazing gentleman educate you even more than you can possibly imagine. What a history buff!!! Schinias Beach was the perfect ending to our family's vacation...We spent our last day relaxing under an absolutely perfect beach...it couldn't have been any better! Thank you Vasso and we hope to see you again.

Let’s see, where do we begin… We began with a dream to celebrate the 48th anniversary of Ronnie and Don. We decided to travel to Greece to experience our Greek heritage. We were fortunate to find villa Stella. A picture in person is worth a thousand words! Upon our arrival we were graciously received and given a tour of their beautiful home. The panoramic view of the Aegean sea and mountains were awe inspiring. "Making you feel at home" receives a new meaning at Villa Stella. The hospitality of the owners is amazing. You are offered a gracious home, overlooking the bay, with a great pool. However, it is not just the extreme comfort which makes this place so unique. It is the generosity of its owners who simply hst you as their home-coming relative. The 10 of us including 2 babies and a child arrived to find food in the freezer, milk, tonic and beer in the fridge and plenty of goodies in the cupboards. The public beach with its typically friendly taverns is just 10 minutes away to coplete the ideal vacation. -Dan, Jerusalem, Israel

The house was beautiful with marble floors throughout, tastefully decorated, and well maintained. A wonderful breeze can be enjoyed every morning on the porch as you look out over the sea. The owners who live in the apartment below were helpful with advice and cordial. The propoerty is remote so it is best for those who want to get away from it all but still be within an hour of Athens to allow sightseeing, shopping, etc. A great place for those that want a beautiful view to curl up with a book by the pool and enjoy the weather and scenery.

We were so fortunate to find this rental! what a great find! What we enjoyed most was the living room veranda. It was so relaxing to get up in the morning, make coffee and sit and take in the view of the sea and ilsands or at night unwind with a glass of great greek wine and take in the night scape: moon and city lights. Ah! this is life. we also liked the living romm/dining room combination; lots of windows with great views and the private veranda of the master bedroom was not bad either. We were happy with this rental. Close enough to everything but far enough from everything. IT WAS GREAT!
