This beautiful, newly built home (in 2005) is located in Bay Head next to a small park. It's about a 10-15 minute walk from the Beach, a five-minute walk from Bay Head Yacht Club (and the Bay), and a five-minute drive from Point Pleasant and the Amusements/games on the Boardwalk. This house has an open and bright floor plan with central air conditioning. The first floor has a relaxing "Great-Room" (living room-dining room-kitchen combo)that is spacious and helps make meal times and entertaining a pleasure. The large kitchen is well equipped and has an island sink with a garbage disposal and a hot water dispenser. The kitchen island area also has a large breakfast bar that seats six. The ceiling over the living room extends upward and is open to the second floor where a balcony area overlooks the living room. Floor to ceiling windows in the living room really let the sunlight (and moonlight!) shine in. There is a first floor master suite with a queen bed, handicap accessible bathroom/shower, walk-in closet and a private (separate) living room with a TV.
The first floor also has a large playroom/den (located off the kitchen) that is equipped with a ping-pong table and TV. Sliding doors from the playroom provide easy access to the back deck that has a gas grill for outdoor cooking. The back yard is fenced and private with a large sandbox for kids to play in, and a hammock nearby to watch them from. For after beach clean-up, there is a hose for rinsing off sandy toys and feet, plus an enclosed outside hot and cold shower.
The second floor has three bedrooms, all with ceiling fans. One is a large master bedroom with a King bed and private bath (with large soaking tub and separate shower). The other two bedrooms share a common full bath. One bedroom has a pair of twin beds and a balcony overlooking the park, and the other bedroom has a double bed.
There is also a sitting area located on the second floor in the balcony area (between the bedrooms) where you can relax with a good book or watch TV. This is a great house in a relaxing location. Included with the rental is the use of four Bay Head Beach Tags and the use of four bicycles. There is also a wagon to help transport beach chairs, toys and umbrellas to and from the beach.
Pets are not permitted, however, we may consider allowing a very well behaved dog to accompany our guests for a nominal fee ($100) if negotiated and approved prior to the rental. |
