A skier's dream. Winter Walk Unit A is located less than 200 yards from the base of the Winter Park Ski Resort. Walk or catch the free shuttle (runs every 10 minutes & is just around the corner) to the ski lifts and walk home for lunch or a soak in your PRIVATE indoor hot tub before hitting the slopes again. Forget noisy 'condo-land.' Winter Walk Unit A is not part of a complex, but is 1/2 of a duplex - a private and unique 'home away from home.' As an upscale unit appraised at over $500,000, the location, comfort and rental rates cannot be beat!
Three levels of living offers lots of privacy and comfort. The ground floor entry level offers a mudroom with ample storage for equipment, a 'spa room' including a 6 person private indoor hot tub, a sauna, half-bath, separate shower, and washer/dryer. Nice!
The main level (2nd level) has an open floor plan kitchen/living/ dining room area with vaulted ceilings, moss rock gas fireplace, 37' flatscreen cable TV/VCR/DVD, Stereo/CD, queen sleeper sofa, recliner chair, huge wraparound front deck with BBQ gas grill, lots of windows providing light and great views of the ski slopes. Off the main living area is the master bedroom (queen bed) with private bath and deck. Stainless kitchen appliances and a huge country dining table with ample seating add to the overall ambiance and convenience.
Upstairs (3rd level) is the 2nd queen bedroom with direct access to the shared bath (the tub/shower and toilet area are separated from the double-sink area for privacy) with private porch. Also on this level is the 3rd bedroom 'bunkroom' with a bunk bed (full on bottom and twin on top). The bunkroom is always a favorite with its unique design, including vaulted ceiling, sliding solid wood panel doors that close off a 'window' to the living/dining area below, Cable TV/VCR/DVD, its own sink, and a 'secret' loft area accessible by ladder with a queen futon bed for extra sleeping (loft not recommended for very small children). The bunkroom also hosts a large picture window and its own small deck with views of the ski area.
We also have a beautiful wraparound trex deck out front spanning both Units A & B! Chairs and a dining table are provided, but during the winter months, there's usually too much snow to use them! Spring time and summer are another story.
So what's Winter Walk really like? Think vintage 'ski lodge' with all the modern conveniences you can think of. You'll find this to be a comfortable, cozy, family friendly abode geared towards fun and functionality. Our unit's neutral decor compliments the natural wood windows, six panel wood doors, and updated appliances. We also provide a double air mattress and 2 twin folding foam mattress. Sleeping 9-11 adults is no problem. The parking space directly in front of the unit allows room for up to 4 cars.
Located in Old Town Winter Park, just across the railroad tracks and down the hill from the Winter Park Resort Base Area, Winter Walk Unit A is steps away from both the Winter Park Base Area & Alpine Sun for ski rentals. Best of all, we're close to the slopes, a precious and rare location in the Winter Park area. Walk 1-2 minutes to the Park 'n 'Ride free shuttle bus (departures every 5 minutes) which takes you directly to the WP Base Area in less than 4 minutes with no stops in between. Or, skip the shuttle & just walk to the Winter Park Base Area lifts (including Gemini, Zephyr & Arrow lifts) in about 10-12 minutes.
Winter Park Resort offers the best in family skiing, top rated mogul and tree skiing, outstanding mountain biking and hiking. All just outside your door!

- Winter Walk is located in a section of Winter Park known as 'Old Town'. It is one of the original neighborhoods bordering the ski area. It provides 'walk to the lift' convenience, while maintaining a sense of small neighborhood friendliness. You can take a walk around the block or up to the ski area to sample some of the shops and restaurants in the base area. We recommend Doc's Roadhouse for pub fare, Lime for Mexican (great happy hour), and the Cheeky Monk for an upscale brew pub drinking and dining atmosphere. Our family has stayed at Winter Walk during our ski vacation for the past six years. Our group generally includes six adults and two children. We couldn't be more pleased with the condo. It is in a wonderful location, only a block from the ski bus stop. It is very comfortable and has all the amenities we need, including a large eating area, nice hot tub, laundry room, deck, and views of the Winter Park ski area. The owners are great to deal with and are very responsive if any problems are encountered. It will continue to be our condo of choice at Winter Park.

Our family of 5 could not have asked for anything better; quick bus ride to slope for us skiiers and snow boarders can actually walk. Lots of space and all the amentities necessary for a ski vacation. Easy to get into town via car or bus. The house is in great condition with plenty of towels for the hot tub and a washer dryer in case you need to do any laundry. The view is spectacular; looking out the windows you see the slopes and hear the train passing by from time to time. this property is worth the money!!!!!!

About the owner: Our 2nd home is owned by myself and my sister's families. We are avid skiers and mountain bikers and love coming to Winter Park in both winter and summer. Our homes are in Boulder which, as the crow flies, is only 40 miles away. There, we live, work, send our kids to school, and ALWAYS look forward to our next trip to Winter Walk.
