You are just minutes from historic downtown Murphy, where you can stroll through the town and visit one of many of our quaint antique shops,dine at one of our lovely restaurants or have an ice-cream cone at the corner candy store.
Relax out on the deck in the hot tub, complete with waterfall and rotating colored lights, and watch the deer or wild turkey walk by.Then enjoy sitting in front of the gas log fireplace.
A beautiful, antique four-poster double bed in the bed room, or a queen size sofa bed in the living room, awaits you for a comfortable nights sleep. Both rooms have double french doors so you can look out onto the mountains and surrounding nature.
If you enjoy a quiet evening watching cable TV, there is a TV in the living room and the bedroom for you to enjoy.
Cook out on the gas grill or dine out at one of the local restaurants nearby .After dinner sit by the open pit fire place, make smores and relax on the swing.
We are centrally located in the Tri- state area, so you are just minutes from Blairsville and Blue Ridge GA., home of the famous Mercier Orchards. Chattanooga,TN. is only about an hour and a half away.

Why the Owner Chose Murphy
After visiting Murphy and renting a cabin in the summer of 2005, we fell in love with this area and decided to move up here.Mary King Mountain Estates, where we live, is so gorgeous with some of the prettiest mountain views around is why I decided to build the cabin here. The people in this quaint little town are the friendliest people I've ever met.Being in the tri-state area allows you to travel to several area attractions within two hours or less.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage
The mountain views, watching wild turkeys and deer roam outside, or listening to to the numerous birds chirp and the "quiet" is wonderful. Having moved from a big city with all the lights around, it is so beautiful to be able to look up in the sky and see all the millions of bright stars at night.

My husband and I stayed at Reon's cottage last month and enjoyed every minute of our stay!!! Everything about it was great, slept like a baby, enjoyed the fireplace and the wild turkeys running together on the hill. Will be sure to stay again, however, I really would like to move to the area!! the place was very clean, the owner was very friendly and helpful and were are extremely satisfied... Have told all our friends about it..

Really is a cute and clean place.Alittle hard to find with the GPS.Sherry helped with getting us up the MT.So much to see around there and we really needed more time.So we will be returning next fall. Thanks again Sherry.

Loved the cabin, it was beautiful, my wife loved it. Some time alone is what we needed and what we got. Awesome views from the hot tub. Owner was very nice. Great Job, superb cabin. We will be back next year.

I can't describe how relaxed I left Reon's Cottage in Murphy. And leaving relaxed is what you want to do. The directions were spot on, the cottage looked exactly like I expected and the owner was incredibly helpful and gracious. The cottage had anything I could imagine to make my stay comfortable. If I forgot to bring it, it was there waiting for me. So clean I found myself being careful to keep it that way! The nearly shopping was so much fun. Lots of local restaurants to explore. But the best was the peace and quiet. So very quiet with awe inspiring views all the way around. I truly recommend this cabin if you are looking to refresh and renew your spirit.

Reon's Cottage..........Brings tears to my eyes just thinking about having to leave it. The cabin was sooo much more than we expected. Everything was exactly as described. You do NOT have to bring anything but food and clothes. Sherry has EVERYTHING in that cottage. The furnishings were so delightful. It was simply lovely in EVERY aspect. This cottage is filled with warmth and hospitality, like friendly spirits reside there or something. It feels like an enchanted cottage. I can't even describe the peace that resides there. The view from the deck is so beautiful on a clear day. It is wonderfully isolated and so quiet. The lot is very steep so bring a mountain walking stick with you. My husand and I have been blessed with many wonderful adventures together, but we both agree that this was the BEST adventure yet. It is as if we have returned from a spiritual journey. You will LOVE Reon's Cottage and never want to leave; it is truly that special.

My husband and I were seeking a getaway from our kid-filled, work-worn and generally hectic lives when we came across this cabin on VRBO. The cabin is perfectly appointed and furnished - yet comfortable and cozy. Everything you need is here - just bring food and clothes! You are close enough to town that you do not have to drive days to get somewhere but remote and secluded enough that the only thing you hear at night are chirping crickets and falling leaves. The view is magnificent - from sun up to well beyond dark. The night sky with the bright full moon adn millions of shining, well-defined stars creates a most relaxing backdrop to a sound and peaceful sleep. This is definitely the cabin you want for a quiet relaxing getaway for 1-2 people. Suggestion: Sherry (the cabin's owner) suggested Murphy's Chophouse restaurant when we were looking ofr really good food and excellent service. It is a little pricey but well worth it. The desserts are to die for!

I needed some privacy, downtime and peace...and I got it! The cabin is remote--close enough to other houses to feel safe, but lots of foliage and peacefulness make you feel like you're 10 miles from anybody else. The cabin has EVERYTHING you could ever need--but still has a rustic feel...great reading porch and swing. Stargazing from the porch is lovely...there are shops within a short drive if you need anything at all...what a great respite from the busy world with a beautiful mountain view. Thank you, Sherry!
