Welcome to the rustically elegant Log Cabin at Long Lake. Located on the 'Walleye Capital of Wisconsin', one of the most sought after lakes in NW Wisconsin, the cabin is conveniently situated between Spooner and Hayward. The cabin is nestled amongst tall pines in a very private area, where you can enjoy panoramic views and a breathtaking sunrise over the lake from two decks at the cabin and a deck at lakeside. The cabin was fully remodeled in early 2006 (each year something nice is added) and offers that true Northwoods experience with all the amenities you've come to expect. New for 2011 is a large 18X20 screen porch with ceiling fan, additional sleeping area (cots provided) and full electrical service. It will allow our guests to enjoy the fresh air all the time and escape the bugs. It will be great for morning coffee, dining, late night conversations/games or sleeping.
The cabin's open floor plan provides two new queen size beds (one on the main floor, one in the loft), a day bed in the loft, a large L sectional, 2 portable cots, fully stocked kitchen, dining area, living room and one large bathroom plus an outdoor shower. All the beds and linens are high end. Stay cool with the window A/C unit or use the corner gas fireplace on those cool evenings. There is a big flat screen HDTV and DVD with satellite Direct TV on the main level and a small TV for DVD movies in the loft. There is free Wi-Fi internet. There is also a very nice large pontoon boat with quiet 4 stroke motor on-site for rent. How convenient to have the pontoon at your dock. There is a complimentary canoe at lakeside and 2 adult bikes for your use.
The property has 200 feet of private sandy lake shore frontage on the north end of Long Lake. Most lots are 100 ft wide so this has a lot of privacy. It has a nice swim area along the shore. There is a large dock system including boat lift/cover and power at the dock. You can fish right off the dock! There is a nice fire pit overlooking the water with free firewood. There is a large 3 burner Weber gas grill for your grilling pleasure. The property consists of about 2 acres, giving privacy and areas for the kids to explore. The site is large enough for pitching a tent. The area is full of wildlife with great bird watching as the lake is full of loons and there is an active eagle population nearby.
It is located near County land so you have ATV, snowmobile and cross-country trails nearby. This cabin offers your family and friends the vacation spot you have been dreaming of. Whether you are looking for a romantic escape, quiet getaway or an active vacation, we hope you choose to be our guests at this unique spot on a great lake. The lake is 3300 acres and has 12 miles of undeveloped shoreline on the east side since it is owned by the Boy Scouts. The owners have thought of every creature comfort on-site so you can feel right at home.

What a beautiful and peaceful place to spend our vacation. It was everything we wanted and more. We spent everyday on the lake fishing and relaxing. Caught enough walleye to enjoy a fish fry! We did however let a very large walleye get away on 2 separate occassions. Turns out we need a bigger net! Spent a day in Hayward and enjoyed the shops there. We are looking forward to our next trip here as it is a place we would love to return to again. Thank you for everything!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This is a great place to end summer. We had a lovely warm (not hot) sunny weather until the last day. The darling and immaculate cabin is made perfect by the screened porch. Thank you.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had a lovely time. We love the log cabin and got lots of great pictures documenting our time here. We loved the screen porch and really appreciated how tastefully decorated the cabin is. Our family is sad to leave today as our 5 & 2 year olds love everything about it.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

What a great place to spend our honeymoon! We got married on August 6 and came here for a week of rest and relaxation--it was perfect! We swam, went canoeing, biking, made campfires, grilled steaks, drank wine......the weather was perfect and we really enjoyed the beautiful screen porch. This week has been a wonderful kick off to our new life together.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We were on the beautiful lake all the time. We had a great time and loved it here. The week flew by faster than anyone expected. Many of our nights were spent in the screen porch around the beautiful log table. We hope to be back next year and relive it all again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We are sad that this is our last day. We have thoroughly enjoyed your beautiful cabin and have had so much fun fishing, tubing and taking relaxing rides on the pontoon. We have had perfect weather this week, sunny every day and love the privacy in the pines, decks and huge screened in porch. The artesian well is a cool find. We saw a bear along Cty B on one of our walks. Thanks for everything!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Our family has a great week! The cabin is awesome. We felt right at home and very comfortable. The lake is beautiful with great fishing off the dock. We woke every morning to loon calls and had the joy of watching them swim and eagles fly. Our thoughts are filled with great memories fo Long LakeDid you find this review helpful?
