My family and I had to make a last minute trip to the valley when our Daughter's team made it to the State Softball Tournament. We were dreading it due to the summer heat. This house made the trip fun and comfortable! The house had plenty of room, was equipped with everything we needed and the pool made it not only bearable but enjoyable. Karin was pleasant and helpful too!! My kids enjoyed it so much we may make this an annual summer trip! I would and will recommend this vacation rental to everyone! Thanks Karin
Owner response:Thanks Shani! It was wonderful to meet all of you, you were wonderful guest and would love to have you back! Congrats Girls!!!!

We stayed at this home in April for 10 days. This is a perfect location close to everything. The owner was very gracious and met me at the home to walk me through all the details. Most homes we rent, the owners live out of town. These owners clearly show all the right personal touches, with excellent decorations and outstandingly well taken care of home. The master bedroom is separated from the other two bedrooms in the house allowing some separation at times from the children. I highly recommend that you stay at this house or other houses that the owner has for rent . Being nearer to Cave Creek downtown and the excitement that the old town has to offer is so much different than the typical Scottsdale. But at the same time you're close to all Scottsdale amenities in the house. For the cowboy side of you when you're visiting Arizona you should consider the free entertainment up at the Buffalo Chip Saloon where they have bull riding on Wednesday and Friday nights. We also found the YMCA up on 56th St. which is an excellent facility and they allow you to try out the facility and use all the great exercise equipment, play basketball and they also have a teen center. We will always stay in the cave Creek Carefree area when we visit Arizona. We also did the carefree adventurers and did the Goldmine tour. This is another one of those great things to do that is not a tourist trap and I highly recommend. Again I highly recommend staying at this house as it is a wonderfully taken care of house and the owner takes pride in ownership and taking care of their visitors as if they were family.

Hi Karin, Thought I'd check in and see if we left the place in good order. We enjoyed our stay there very much. As you know, this was our first time renting a home, and we are sold on the process. Having the open area to talk, plan and wind down in the evening was a real delight. Thanks. If we gather again next spring, we will start by checking in with you. Have a great day, Dave

We have stayed at many VRBO properties over the past several years and this one was a real disappointment. As a first impression and from a distance, the place was beautiful. Up close, I was surprised to see how dusty the furnishings were. The floors, kitchen and bathrooms were very clean, but everything else was not. Pity to pay a cleaning fee when the job is not being done correctly. Forget about reading in the living room. The lamps were for ambiance only. The only lighting bright enough to read by was the ceiling fan light. I know it is not required, but this was the first place we stayed that didn't have kleenex, napkins, shampoo, etc. There was no welcoming feeling to it. Every other place would have a listing of directions to nearby restaurants, grocery stores and attractions to help you get the 'lay of the land', but there was nothing. The waterfall was a nice addition to the patio area. It was on the first day we were there and then only came on from about midnight until 6 am the rest of the time. Timer problem or something. I guess for the price, I was expecting more. Live and learn!
Owner response:I always welcome feedback in order to make my guests stay as nice as possible as I have had vacation properties for 7 years and have always had wonderful guest. It is very unfortunate that this guest felt it necessary to leave a negative remark, however, I do appreciate her feedback as we are always striving to make our guest experiences the very best.In order to address her complaints, I will address them in the order in which they happened.Guest showed up early to property (Contract clearly states anytime after 3:00) and expected to be accommodated, so I did. I explained that I am in the process of going through supplies and such, but they insisted on getting in-very uncomfortable. We try to accommodate guests, but when you compromise your procedures and schedule to assist others things turn out like this. Cost: The clients were here 3 days at a very reasonable rate. I consistently receive wonderful comments regarding all of properties that the pictures do not do the home justice and how please they are with accommodations. As for the home being dusty. I spoke with client and she advised me that there were 2 decorative candles in a glass hurricane that were dusty. (Which she burned) I have spoken with my cleaning people regarding this and it was good to know-thank you. (This will keep my cleaning people on their toes.) As for her other concerns, lighting: there is overhead lighting in the living room, which is almost too bright and two lamps, one table lamp and the other a floor lamp in the living room. Places to go: 2 Grocery stores are just two minutes from property. I gave them directions. Additionally, I personally gave my recommendations of my favorite must see's in the area, as I live in the area of my property and they seemed very excited about going. Also, if that isn’t good enough, there is a basket of books, magazines, menus, etc. of places to go in the entire state of AZ-don’t know what else you can expect. Pool waterfall: the pool equipment is on a timer-nothing wrong with it- I have changed it to run during the day. It was just set to run in the evening for efficiency. Supplies: When I called client to discuss her feedback-which I was very surprised by, she told me that she expected little shampoos-like a hotel, and a bottle of wine or something when she arrived. One, I personally do not drink and in the past have had bottles of wine for guest, only to offend them when I found out that they do not drink-it’s hard to please everyone.
