Large, comfortable Cape Cod-style, former farm house in historic Harpswell, Maine. Fabulous water views, south, east, and west. Beach only 100 feet away. Calm waters, 2 - 4 feet deep, no undertow. Water is warm in July and August. Great opportunities for children to explore water's edge sea-life. Long walks on secluded beaches and nature preserve just down the road. Patio, no deck.

Note: Rented October 1, 2007 through December 31, 2007.

House sits on a three-quarter acre plot and faces south. Quiet, residential neighborhood, beautiful homes and gardens. Large eat-in kitchen (13 feet by 13.5 feet) plus pantry, dining room (12 feet by 13 feet), living room (12 feet by 18 feet), one bedroom and one study downstairs, two bedrooms up. Two double beds, one queen. Please bring your own sheets and towels. Mattress covers, pillows with pillow covers, blankets, and bedspreads supplied.

Fully-equipped kitchen, new gas stove, new refrigerator, dishwasher, washer/dryer, and microwave. Bake ware, lobster pot, etc. Comfortable, family-friendly, casual furniture... feel free to put your feet up on the coffee table! However, some antique beds, bureaux, etc. and the rest just funky collectables. Stylishly decorated, quilted bedspreads, braided rugs, etc. in keeping with its history as a Maine farmhouse. If you decorate a la Martha Stewart, don't bother calling. Non-smokers only.
