My new wife and I were married on Moonstone Beach on 09/17/11. My mother-in-law rented this house for us to stay in for a couple of days afterwards. My wife grew up 1 hour north of Trinidad (Crescent City) and I grew up 30 minutes south of it(Eureka). A lifelong amount of knowledge drove us to choose this area to stay after the best day of our lives. No where else in the area is even close to as beautiful. I grew up fishing these waters with my father almost every weekend. The restaurant below at the pier has the best clam chowder ever and this place sits perfectly to see the ocean views. We took both our Labs with us and they were able to roam the beaches and play all day with us. This place really is situated in the PERFECT spot for this area. The house is great. Bathroom is the best part. Showers are awesome coming out of the wall and Jacuzzi tub is ideal for relaxing! I will be taking my wife back to this place someday even though our families live so close. It'll be another great couple days. We'll never forget our stay!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.

Excellent Stay! We loved this rental property! Great location, very clean, lots of amenities. Very quaint town. We also loved the breakfasts at Seascape down the hill and coffee from the Beachcomber.

Perfect ocean playground getaway! We had a fabulous time spent at the Horizon House. Amidst the beachfront adventures, to a hike along Trinidad Head Trail, from a walkthrough of the quaint little town to a day trip visiting Big Lagoon, and driving along Redwood Highway crouched between giant luscious sequoia in every shade of green, we took comfort in returning to such a well amenitied property.<br/><br/>The general store had, surprisingly, everything we needed; from naturally grown veggies and fruits to fresh cuts of meat to logs of wood to burn in the fireplace.<br/><br/>Horizon House sits atop a beautifully groomed and manicured property, overlooking the ocean from huge spans of windowpane in the living room. I’m sure in the summertime, the warm nights allow for windows to remain open to the crisp air outside and the soft roar of the waves to be audible, tumbling onto the beach.<br/><br/>The modern kitchen is adorned with high cathedral ceilings which open up to skylights. Both the half and master bath have skylights which illuminate the space for hours on end during the day and the master bath is quite beautiful and intricate in its layout.<br/><br/>We’re looking forward to coming back and spending more time here in the summertime!

Jetsons on the Bay is in a WONDERFULLY quaint, small town of approximately 400 people. The home is really nice with a lot of luxury's if you are use to nice things. I had to work 2 1/2 days of our 7-day vacation but it was extremely pleasant. We watched the storms roll in (first part) and when the skys cleared up, it was one of the most breath taking views I've seen in a long time. Rest, relaxation, rejuvenation, laid-back, re-balanced energy is things you will easily find in this great little getaway. Thanks a load (Mike) !! Your help & reassurance of handling a transaction with a "stranger" was made with comfort and ease and professionalism. Thanks a million !! the Jordan family
Owner response:They rented multiple properties including this one (Horizon House) and Jetsons on the Bay. Both are new and beautiful houses a couple hunderd yards from eachother and short steps to beach and bay.
