  Absolutely marrrrvoleous!! You get two water views for the price of one. Gulf on the left and Bay on the right. It is indeed a resort. Liked the security aspect to be sure. Restauraunt had good food...at resort prices. Still, a good value if you don't fell like cooking or driving. Local restauraunts were a big hit especially Flounders and The Grand Marlin. If you golf, Tiger Point is about all you want. NAS and Marcus Pointe are a must. On Pensacola, the Fish House is exceptional. Other fine eateries as well. Mike has wireless internet which ports up instantly. No problem with iphone, ipad or .....Apple TV. TV has basic cable. Apple TV is simple and offers some fine internet fair, including Net Flix. It's worth the hundred bucks and you can throw from any apple device. Everything is convenient. Trash chute is just outside of door. We typically overbuy for these stays and like others who VRBO, we try to leave more then we found - T.P., paper towels, etc. We are starting to enter the Snowbird years and this was a nice maiden voyage for a two weeker in the worst part of winter. Will shoot for four weeks next year. Ostensibly, we are residents of central Florida and chased business ops up north some 15 years ago. Come back many times through out the year but have always liked P.B. (and we have relatives here.) Highly recommend it for views, price, convenience and comfort. Only area of improvement would be to put up blinds in living room area. Evening sun is a killer. See you next year, Mike. Thx, Don

  We decided to add a leg of our annual pilgrimage to New Orleans from the west coast to stay somewhere nice on the gulf coast. After a great deal of research, we settled on this place. We walked in the front door and were immediately elated. It's really quite beautiful: the view is fantastic (you can see the gulf right when you walk in and can see the "bay" from the porch), the interior decoration is very well thought out (it really takes advantage of the light; it's also neither overly sparse nor cluttered) and uses nice materials. The details are really, really nice. In addition, the appliances are nicer than what you normally find in a vacation rental: the dryer actually dries the clothes well rather than leaving them "close enough". One detail which I didn't fully appreciate until I stayed in a different location is that this is a really, really easy place to stay with children. Our daughter was at the crawling stage when we stayed here and there wasn't a lot we needed to do to prevent her from being "inquisitively destructive"; there aren't a bunch of loose cords or fragile items on the floor or anything like that and the second bedroom allowed us to have normal conversation in the rest of the unit but still hear her waking up and fussing if we listened for it. Also to note: Mike was very responsive to all of our questions, both before and during our stay. Portofino Towers itself is a little removed from the more populous chunk of Pensacola Beach; it was a few minutes extra drive, but in return we got relatively unpopulated beaches (especially during the week) and peaceful nights. The only negatives: * We couldn't find any dishtowels * The internet connection was wired-only (it was quite fast with multiple jacks, which is great for laptops but not for smartphones/tablets) Overall, though, fantastic. We'd stay here again without hesitation.

  Owner response: Thanks for your nice review. I will add a wireless connection in the next couple of weeks. Dishtowels are available but were in the drawer and will now be countertop. Come again in the fall when the weather is fabulous, water warm, crowds noexistant and prices less.

  We are not so much beach people, so having a comfortable apartment with lovely furnishings, beautiful views, a fully equipped kitchen (nothing skimped on there), and a washer-dryer made it a real vacation for us. (The linens, especially, will make you feel like you're living in the lap of luxury - i'm a sucker for those things.) The kids loved the pool, and the beaches of course are beautiful. Mr. Moran was responsive and helpful. If you go to this area though, watch your speed - says the family who got stopped for going 31 in a school zone in which the "slow down lights" were supposedly activated making the speed limit 20 - but actually weren't flashing at all. Saw other people pulled over presumably for the same infraction. But, the cops know us tourist suckers won't go to court a month later, so there goes $300. Our donation toward the tarball cleanup effort, I suppose.

  Recommended for: People with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+.

  Our family retreat at Mike's condo was delightful. We found the condo to be everything we hoped for--comfortable, convenient, relaxing, beautifully decorated and well-maintained. Of course, Porto Fino is spectacular, as is the beach. Thanks, Mike, for making the business arrangements hassle-free, which helped us have a pleasant and memorable family getaway.

  We spent the Christmas holdiay enjoying the white beaches of Pensacola and enjoyed staying in this unit with gorgeous views of the Gulf. It was very spacious for the four of us and plenty of room for visitors (we have family in the area). We loved it and would plan to stay again when the opportunity arises.   Mike, we enjoyed staying in your beautiful condo. It was decorated beautifully and the resort itself is awesome! The ocean was the most clear I have ever seen in Florida and the chlorine-free pools werea pleasure to swim in. we will definitely be back. Annette Vourlotis

  Spent last weekend at Mike's condo and we had a great time. The whole Portifino complex is excellent and this condo is even better. Great gulf views, right next to the beach, close to everything at Pensacola Beach, and the condo itself was amazing. Couldn't have been better, thanks again Mike. -Scott Raley

Upon rare occasion, I may waive the minimum requirement for number of nights stay especially in the off season. Never any 1 night stays.
