This riverfront home is built on a bank overlooking the Allegheny river three miles from the town of East Brady. Enjoy the river from the deck or from your bedroom (you can watch the river without even leaving the master bedroom). This is NOT your typical camp.
The river is so close, you can almost (not quite) cast your fishing line directly off the deck. While surrounded by nature, you also have many of the comforts of home, including high quality furnishings, cable TV, and wireless internet access. Enjoy the abundant wildlife from the vantage of your deck or your balcony, or sip your morning coffee from the "crow's nest" lookout, as you watch the fog rise off the river. Bird lovers will enjoy the wide variety of bird life and bird houses and feeders spread throughout the property, and may even be treated to a sighting of our resident bald eagle.
This private home is just three miles from the town of East Brady, and is outside the hustle and bustle of high density campsites and camp-homes.
For those of you who know rivers, you know the river is alive and constantly changing. In the spring when the river is its highest, it rushes past. In the late summer and early fall, the river can be low enough and clear enough, that you can see the bottom from the vantage of your deck. In the winter, you can hear the ice crackling in a powerful display of nature.
Fishing - This part of the river is a great place for fishing, including small mouth bass, large mouth bass and Wahlie. (The locals call the rock near the house "Wahlie Rock"). There are numerous access points in the area from which to fish from the shore.
Daytime activities may include hiking, fishing, or nature observation. Night time may find you playing pool in the gameroom, watching shooting stars on the deck, or sitting around the camp fire.
Location: 1.5 hours from Pittsburgh, 2.5 hours from Cleveland, 2 hours from Erie. 1 million miles from rush hour. |
