If you are looking for a place to stay this is the spot. From the moment you walk in you will be pleased with what you see. The view is wonderful from every room and when we arrived the condo was spotless. I came down with my best friend and my Daughter and 5 of her girl friends for her senior trip and we had plenty of room and having 4 bathrooms was a plus with 6 17 year old girls. The kitchen has a great set up and everything is very easy to use. The porch is really the place to be any time. We had coffee and ate outside several times because the view is just outstanding and you can't beat the ocean breeze. The pool is a great spot to go if the beach is to windy. The pool area is very clean and has bathrooms which are also very clean. Now for the beach which was beautiful. We went to the beach every day. Every morning you can see them put out the chairs and that is where we would end up. I know you can rent chairs but we never did. It was a slow week so they had more then enough. I think during a busy week it would have been different but we had no problem finding 8 chairs together. The water was beautiful and a must to go in. The walk to the beach is very nice. You can go one of two ways. One just has more beach to walk where the other has a beautiful board walk to the chairs. Over all this is the place to go and I will be back. It was worth every dime! I rent a lot and this by far is the best place I have rented. I can't wait to return..

This place looks exactly like the pictures- absolutely beautiful! Our group included our family with three kids plus my parents. There was plenty of room for everybody to spread out and have their own space. Each bedroom has its own bath which is nice. My 8-year old daughter uses a wheelchair and this condo was very accessible for her with an elevator to the 3rd floor, hardwood floors throughout and wide hallways. She was also able to get on and off the (huge) balcony by herself and there were miles of paths for her to explore around the community. The beach was beautiful and uncrowded and the nearby towns of Rosemary Beach and Seaside have great restaurants and shopping. The pools were heated and warm enough to swim. Darrell is really easy to work with and returns e-mails almost immediately. We are so glad we found this place- can't wait to go back.

Superior furnishings and amenities. Awesome panoramic view. Ate many meals and read lots of books outside on wrap-around balcony. High-end Viking kitchen appliances and a well-stocked kitchen made cooking family meals fun and easy. Great floorplan for families (kids on one end and parents on other) with large open eating/dining/living space in middle. Easy walk to two pools. A little longer walk for us and our three small kids to get to the beach. Great vacation spot for our family: quiet, peaceful, breathtakingly beautiful.
Owner response:Thanks Mary! Future Guests: In addition, our WaterSound Beach community has a free 18-hole putting green, kids play-parks and swingsets, dozens of hiking trails, lots of nice boardwalks to the sea, bike and kayak rentals, and a very nice small-fee health club. The community is gated with the main road behind the community, meaning no roads to cross on the way to the beach! Our community is surrounded by state parks, beautiful sand dunes, and pretty inland lakes.

We loved our stay at Breathtaking. The condo itself was beautiful and spacious. The view was amazing from the great room, master and queen bedrooms. The balcony provided an even better location to take it all in, along with the sound of the surf and wildlife. Being from the city we loved the fact that it was quiet and peaceful. Watersound also provides a great beach, pools and tennis courts which our family enjoyed. Thank you for a great vacation.

We took our family to WaterSound Beach to celebrate both a high school and college graduation. When we arrived we were all stunned by this truly beautiful home. It is as described, "breathtaking". The pictures do not do it justice or give you a sense of how big it truly is. With seven adults sharing this space for a week we never felt cramped, and certainly never tired of the magnificent views offered of the gulf. The tvs were rarely turned on, and then only to check the next day's weather forecast. The remainder of our time was spent on the balcony, outside enjoying the Florida sunshine, at the beach or in the pool. The ladies in the group rented bikes, on-site, and rode the numerous trails on the property and even to the adjoining communities of Seaside and Rosemary Beach. The bikes were an absolute hit and were great for "back & forths" to the beach as well. The guys in the group enjoyed playing golf at the many nearby courses. Two of which, Camp Creek & Shark's Tooth, are within 5 miles of this property and are some of the finest golf courses to be found anywhere. My children, though grown, have not stopped thanking me for this trip since our return. This property is simply fabulous and I'm sure we will find our way back very soon. Thanks for sharing your home Darrell, it was a pleasure. The Pearces - Denham Springs, La.

My family and I arrived close to dawn, when we walked in the condo we were greeted with an absolutely "Breathtaking" view of the gulf! It was so beautiful we were speechless! Everything was top notch, very clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was gorgeous, and well stocked with everything you need to cook. The first night we were there we took a walk to see the property, and out to the beach on the boardwalks. The dunes, purple flowers, and hills of white untouched sand were so beautiful it was surreal. It was a walk that we as a family will never forget! Thank you Darrell for sharing your beautiful place at the beach with us!!
Owner response:WaterSound Beach is a 256 acre master-planned gated community, with many hiking and biking trails, many beautiful boardwalks, 4 swimming pools, bike and kayak rentals, a great health/workout club, several kids play parks, and a free 18 hole putting green. Our unit is on the third floor, and is situated direct beachfront with direct 180-degree views of Gulf and of the beautiful rolling sand dunes. Our property is on the front corner with balconies and views facing three directions, so you can get sun or shade, whichever you prefer, at any time of day.

My family and I stayed in this property for a week in late March. In a word, the property is truly amazing. I grew up vacationing in the Destin area for the last 30 years and this property my favorite. It is in a gated community with the most private and longest protected expanse I have seen. The Watersound property was built by St. Joe, the same team that developed Watercolors. The community is gated, quiet and set away from the beach..buffered by dunes and lakes and managed to the highest standards. This particular unit is easily one of the two best in the entire development because it is on the second floor and at the cornor affording 180 degree views from the protected balcony. The layout is spacious with the master set off from the other two bedrooms. It features high end appliances and is very well decorated with comfortable bedding. The property management company had it immaculate and everything was in working condition with little signs of wear. We particulary liked the numerous private bike paths and boardwalks that meander through the natural dunes and lakes and provide stunning vistas of the beach. The pools are numerous and heated for spring and fall. The putting gofl course is fun for the kids and there are several great places to eat close by. Its a bit further than Destin, but well worth the extra time. The owners website and video accurately reflect the quality of the unit and we had no issues with payments and refunds. It is a great place for family's with young or older children. We will be back!

This place rocks! We've been here to this hotel 2 years ago! I love going to the beach, because... you know the cliff-like sand up high? I like to jump on it so it falls down. So I made a little sand path. Here's another reason... I like to get more sand from those sand pillars, so I can make a tunnel inside and outside of sand. P.S. I am a kid. (and your hotel lover)

Absolutely fell in love with the condo and Watersound, Florida. When you walk into this condo, all you see is the outside immediately. The view from the balcony will put you in a state of Ahhhh.... The ocean sounds hitting the beach and the frogs singing in harmony through the night was hypnotizing. We met so many nice people and even made a few friends. It's a great place to relax and enjoy spending quality time with your family. I highly recommend this place. Darrell and Kathyrn, thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us. We came to this familiar area with great expectations because we had ridden bikes into Watersound in the past. Little did we know how spectacular the porch views were as well as the overall Watersound experience. Our group ages ranged from 13 - 77. We each had a wonderful time, having individual areas of interest that we could enjoy. Nothing ever beats the splendor of the white sand beaches, but the open, natural surroundings of Watersound are spectacular. This has been one of the most splendid vacations we have had. We admire your beach home and would like to stay here again in the future if possible! Thanks so much, and once again, you have a wonderful place.

Ours was a last minute vacation decision that we intend to turn into a annual visit. The available pictures can't describe the quality of the property and the incredible location/views. The owner was very helpful from start to finish - very responsive to our email questions. A must visit for any family or couples trip.

The condo was very nice and clean. The furnishings were just perfect. It felt like my "dream" home away from home. We especially loved the view and that it is right by the water. It was one of my most relaxing vacations. And thanks to the owner who made our trip worryfree. I can't wait to stay there again next year.
