Coolest cabin on Jocassee! Very secluded, quiet, and peaceful. Rented for a bachelor party and everyone had a blast grilling on the huge deck with a great view. Very short boat ride away from a cool waterfall. Would recommend to anyone, especially large parties because of its abundant space!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Enjoyed the house, dock, and lake. Everything was as advertised. Lake was very low which made access to the dock a little tricky, but the owner can't control the lake level! The electric lifts were great for luggage. The boardwalks were an engineering marvel. Would definitely rent this home again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our family has enjoyed this house for the last four (4) summers in a row and we plan to keep the tradition going for years to come! Works well for large families. Best views on the lake. Close to several water falls by boat. House is situated on a sheltered cove on Fisher's Knob (no whitecaps and less wind than the houses situated east of Devil's Fork). Nice dock and the two elevators are an added bonus for hauling all your gear back up after a day on the lake. Visit "The Wall" by boat, catch fish, hike on trails close by, kayak or canoe, read a book, catch up with friends and family on the screened porch, options are endless. We'll be back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this great home. The property was clean and well maintained. The elevators helped with getting around if you did not want to take the steps. We brought our boat so everyday out on the lake was gorgeous.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

My husband and I had the pleasure of spending a short weekend at this lovely home! In addition to being clean, well-equipped and very spacious, it was comfortable, warm and cozy. We found the house to be exactly as described.....and more! Even though this was a last minute trip for us (we made all arrangements the day before we arrived), the owners worked quickly and efficiently to enable us to enjoy the house. They communicated well and went out of their way to accommodate us. Since the house is built on the side of a hill leading down to the lake (creating fabulous views), the owners installed 2 inclined car lifts making it very convenient for the elderly or handicapped. The cars worked well for us as we moved our belongings into the house. As an alternative, there is a lovely series of well-maintained stairs to the house and lake. This house is nestled in a beautiful, very private cove with a few other homes.....perfect for quiet relaxation on the deck or screened porch. The boat dock is large and well built. We thoroughly enjoyed the use of the kayaks there. We found the layout and decor of the house to be charming, a perfect lakeside, "moutain cabin". We can't wait to take our entire family for a visit! The kids will LOVE the bunks and loft, while my 71 year old parents will especially appreciate the incline car lifts. We wholeheartedly recommend this property for your next vacation!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Beautiful views. The house was very dirty when we arrived, we had to clean, blow off leaves to even see the pathway prior to are moving in for the week. There are only 3 bedrooms. 2 lofts and 1 upper loft. No ice maker....very tough for 14 quests. Friendly but hunger mice inside. This home just wasn't what we expected for the price. Again the location and views are breath taking.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers.
Owner response: This lake house has just been redone inside. Tony and Shelley Visited in the hight of Fall leaf season. The house has a canopy of trees that shed their leaves in the fall! The decks were clean the day before they checked in and the house was clean and checked by the owner. No mice in this house. Ice maker in the fridge works just fine. Please read the discription of the sleeping quarters on the website. We do have two sleeper sofas that are included in the total tally the house will sleep. No pathways exist at this house. All foot traffic to and from the dock is on lighted decking, above ground should you choose to walk. The perfered method of travel to the dock is by Tramway. The House is a delight and enjoyed by many since we decided to rent it four years ago.
