Travelled to Paris with two girlfriends for an amazing New Years vacation. From the moment we walked into this apartment, we were thrilled with it. The layout, the décor, the location, but most importantly the landlady, Anne, confirmed to us we had made the perfect choice. The neighborhood is quiet and the apartment is close to the Metro, Le Bon Marche and numerous bistros and shops. There is a bistro in the building, Bistro Landais, which we tried on our final night in Paris and we were sorry we had not tried it sooner. It was wonderful to get up in the morning and brew coffee, eat croissants and plan out our day. Then return in the afternoon for a snack, or a nap, or some wine, or all three. I wholeheartedly recommend this apartment, and cannot wait to return to Paris and stay here again.

We were debating whether or not rent an apartment or stay at a hotel...then we found this apartment. Not only was the price right, it was perfect for us and another couple to stay. It was our first time visiting Paris, so we really had no idea what to expect. As soon as we got there, we realized that we had hit gold - the apartment is in the absolute perfect location. After touring the city, it was clear to us the 6th Arrondissement was the best area for us - four 30-somethings looking for for good food, a safe area and fabulous shopping. The apartment itself is clean and was perfect - it had everything we needed. Because we had the apartment, we were able to make snacks/meals and relax while mapping out a plan for the day. The apartment is quite large for European standards, the shower has a tankless water heater so it gets hot fast and stays hot, and the washer/dryer is a great advantage so you don't have to fly home with dirty clothes. The owners of the hotel are wonderful - Anne is responsive and so nice, as is her husband. When we return to Paris for another vacation, we'll absolutely look up Anne and stay here again! Thank you for such a great experience, Anne!!

Our family of five (children aged 15, 13, 10) stayed in Anne's beautiful apartment for 1 week in mid July. Everything written in previous reviews is correct - the apartment is clean and well appointed, and the location is fantastic. Anne's son Emmanuel showed us around the apartment and made sure we had everything we needed. Plenty of space for us to sleep, and wifi speed was excellent. Lots of resources such as maps and listings of nearby restaurants, etc.. Absolutely nothing negative to say. Would definitely stay again.

Every accolade stated in previous reviews bestowed on Anne, Patrick and their apartment is absolutely true! My family of five adults spent nine wonderful days in Paris using this superb Saint Germain des Pres Paris apartment as our 'home base.' Anne provided a thorough introduction to the apartment and all of its amenities upon our arrival - Christmas day evening! Patrick assisted with technical details of appliances, television and the internet not only upon our arrival, but when we had questions (by telephone) during our stay. All the images shown depict the apartment as it is - clean, compact and very comfortable. Even though the outside temperature was near freezing on many days of our stay, the apartment was very cozy with heating units in every room. And with two and one-half 'la salle de bain' it is very accommodating for five adults. Restaurants, grocery stores, the Metro; anything and everything you will possibly need or want is easily accessed by a short walk from this centrally located apartment. The ‘pièce de résistance’ of our stay was Anne arranging a taxi (large van seating five with baggage) to the airport. For our next visit to Paris this is the apartment we will book. Merci beaucoup, Anne and Patrick

A Beauty, Comfortable, Enjoyable, Memorable

My husband, sister, brother-in-law and I had the privilege of spending Oct.3-11 at Anne and Patrick's place. This is a really lovely apartment on floor four (five to us). The lift is small, but after eating all the divine French food, we were happy to take the stairs. Contemporary (no lace doilies here), very clean, light and airy. Plenty of amenities including dishwasher, washer and drier. Plenty of space for the four of us and it was wonderful to have two bathrooms. The beds are large and comfortable. One bathroom has a toilet/shower/sink only and the other a tub/shower/sink with the toilet in the entryway....not a problem. Lots of hot water. Expect the plumbing controls to be a little different from what you're used to in the States. The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, stovetop, microwave, electric teakettle and toaster, as well as plenty of dishes and utensils and a large round table for dining next to the beautiful French doors. It's not a huge kitchen by US standards, but it was perfectly fine for us. It did take us awhile to figure out how to use some of the appliances. Most of our meals were eaten elsewhere, but we had breakfast at "home," so it was nice to have a fridge to stock up on yogurt, cheese, fruit etc. We occasionally made sandwiches "to go". I'm always concerned about the places I stay being clean, and this place was quite clean with no kitchen odors. Lots of large window/doors make for nice breezes. We rarely watched the tv, but there were plenty of English language news and entertainment programs. We did bring a few US DVD's which we didn't realize won't work on European DVD players. This is a bustling area, with little consignment shops and a chocolatier, and the Bon Marche is within walking distance. It is close to the Vaneau Metro stop and the Montparnasse train station. We had a few fantastic meals nearby at Le Petit Lutetia and Josephine Chez Dumonet. Lutetia had the best Creme Brulee I've ever had. Although we realize that it is a tres gauche American practice, when we very apologetically asked for "doggy bags'" they were very kind and accommodating. It was great to have the fridge so we could enjoy our leftovers the following days. Speaking of bustling, major construction is under way in both directions. If you are a late riser, it could be a problem. Our thanks to Anne and her family for making our visit comfortable, enjoyable and memorable. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and hope to in the future. Merci!!!

We, my husband and I and daughter and 2 grandchildren (ages 15 and 14) stayed for a week in June 2010 - it was perfect! We have stayed in other apartments in Paris but I loved the fact that we had 2 bathrooms and we were within walking distance to great food stores - little ones in each block and the fantastic La Grande Epicerie. We were able to bring in great food when we wanted to eat in and enjoy the apartment and visit with our grandchildren. The apartment was great for our 3 generations. The apartment was as shown in the pictures, very clean and well-maintained (regularly updated) and we would highly recommend it to others.

Thank you Anne for ensuring our Paris trip was enjoyable and successful. The location of the apartment and convenience to taxi stands made it easy to get around. We loved the bakeries and grocery stores right near the apartment and enjoyed many meals in the well appointed kitchen. The 110v outlet was a plus so we could charge our cameras without having to buy & bring converters. You have truly thought of everything. Thanks again!

Hard to add anything else to the prior 25 positive reviews. One of many VRBO stays for us and none of the others have had an owner as enthusiastic and helpful as Anne. She gave us a thorough tour of the apartment, helped with our taxi to the airport and made sure we had both her and her husband's cell number in case we had any questions or problems. Centrally located for all the important Paris sites and close to the Metro. Clean, well appointed and broadband access all appreciated...even a welcoming bottle of wine!! We recommend highly.

We visited Paris in early May and were very pleased with this flat. The flat was very confortable and within walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and metro stations. We enjoyed two nearby restaurants. La Marquise at 42 Blvd du Montparnasse, and La Marlotte on Rue de Cherche-Midi. We went shopping for bread, cheese, wines and meats nearby and enjoyed a few breakfasts and lunches in the dinning room by the window. This was a great place to come home to at night and rest. Anne was a great host and very helpful. Our only regret was that we did not stay more days. Merci, Anne

Look no further, this is your perfect Paris rental! Stayed with family of four (parents + teenagers 16 & 19) for Easter 2009. The appartment (on 4th floor with lift) is clean, beautiful and equipped with everything you can think of (and more). Beautiful morning sun on eating area. Nice firm matresses. Very convenient with 2 bathrooms + toilet. Close to metro stations, food stores, FNAC (for buying tickets) and restaurants. Anne is very nice and helpful. Very easy booking and other arrangements. Recommended without any reservations! :)
