Mount Hood Secluded Setting on Boulder Creek

We hope you will come enjoy quiet seclusion at our private family home, nestled on 2.5 acres of old-growth forest, waterfront on Boulder Creek. My father designed this home, and our family built it together as a gathering place for generations to come. We love to decorate with a 14-foot Christmas tree each year, hanging ornaments from the handmade chandelier my father created. My dad had a passion for nature, so he designed wrap-around floor-to-ceiling windows to let nature's light and greenery in, giving spectalar views of Mt. Hood National Forest's splendor. The Great Room and its views are so expansive looking out over the creek, you'll almost feel like you're already outdoors, while you're actually warm and cozy on plush new recliner sofas with up to 2 roaring fires going at once! A fully stocked woodshed is right outside the kitchen door.
In spring and summer, kick back on our two-tiered wrap-around deck while you absorb the sights, smells, and sounds of old-growth, creekfront forest. Don't forget your fishing pole! My children caught their first fish in this creek, along with a few frogs and other wildlife. Kids will love exploring the creek, far from any paved roads or city dangers. Grab a backpack and take a hike at one of many nearby Mt. Hood Forest trailheads. In the summer, the Alpine Slides and Fun Park at SkiBowl will delight kids of all ages - from pony rides to bungee jumps!
Is it wintertime? Don't worry, we're just below the typical snowline, yet only moments from it - making access to your mountain getaway safe and easy, yet leaving you just a short drive from all the snowy entertainment Mt. Hood has to offer - skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, historic Timberline Logde just 20 minutes away, and much, much more.
Kids attending Windell's Camp? We're a 5-minute drive away!
You are completely secluded near the end of a private, nature-laden road, yet we're within 10 minutes of a grocery store, cofffee shop, liquor store, gas station, and many delightful, local restaurants.

This cozy forest home is situated amid tall trees with a babbling creek just outside the back door. We enjoyed spending time on the deck just listening to the water and breeze. It is set well back off the main road, we heard no traffic noise at all. The beds were comfortable but the best part was lounging in the huge, open living room in front of a cracking fire. The owners of this property were quick to respond to email questions and were very friendly. Our small dog was welcome and the kids LOVED it. This property is obviously very well loved and cared-for, we could feel that the moment we arrived. I would definitely recommend this lovely home. We hope to visit again soon!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This is a wonderfully relaxed and inviting cabin. The minute you drive up the road and step into the great room, you are enveloped by the magic of the old forests and fresh mountain air. The cabin is very clean and homely, with everything you could possibly need for a short or long stay. Our boys loved exploring the creek and it was so refreshing sitting on the deck for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The sound of the chilly waters rushing over the rocks was mesmerizing. Jasmine, the neighbourhood dog is amazing and readily welcomes visitors. Her owners, who live in the house at the end of the road, will make sure she stays home, if you are not into dogs. She is so gorgeous though, it's hard to imagine anyone not warming to her charming gestures.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.

My husband and I stayed with our 2 boys, and we loved it here. We really appreciated the toys and baby supplies, so much easier than hauling our own crib, high chair, toys, etc! This is the ideal place on Mt Hood b/c you feel like you're "on the mountain" but not so high up that you're in constant snow and ski traffic. The living room is gigantic, and the wrap-around floor-to-ceiling window views of the forest and creek are just spectacular. I could sit for hours in those comfy corner chairs and just watch nature do her thing. The owners do a nice job of maximizing space in the cozy bedrooms; there was room for several more people but without feeling cramped. The open design of the kitchen/LR plus extra bedding options made us want to come back with a larger group, maybe have a family reunion up there. We enjoyed the rustic, cabin-feel of the place, and appreciated that by not being decked out with all the latest decorations and technology, the price was affordable and worth every penny, and we weren't so tempted by big-city entertainment like DVDs and web-surfing. We took hikes and drives up the mountain instead, and let the creek lull us to sleep instead of our Ipods! =) Great place!!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers, people with disabilities.
