  We had a great time - 2 couples and 2 kids. The house was really well prepared with everything we needed. Items were easy to locate from an iron to a spatula. The boat rides were the best... so relaxing. A great getaway from the big City.

  After searching many vacation homes we are pleased to say we picked the right one. It is lovely home, clean and very spacious. Our stay was for 9 days but when it was time to leave we wished it was more. Walking up to the front door you are greeted by a private courtyard. Modern kitchen and appliances with tile floors right out to a main floor deck over the water. Lovely stain glass window in the huge master bedroom with another large deck on the second floor. Each of the bedrooms were large and nicely set up. Being a residential area we enjoyed daily and evening walks. The " Duffy Boat " was a real highlight for us!! We were out in it every day enjoying the numerous canals to cruise as well as shopping and restaurants. Viewing the wildlife such as birds and seals in the harbor was awesome. Everything was as advertised & more. We would definitely recommend this vacation home to anyone. We want to thank Katherine and Alex for giving us a very memorable holiday in their vacation home and hope to return for an even longer visit next time. Enjoy, D&P

  I have to admit, it is a bit of a leap of faith to make a blind reservation based on pictures and promises that are provided online because you never know what you will get. In this case we were extremely pleased! Everything was as indicated in the listing and then some. The home is well fitted for outsiders to come in and immediately make themselve feel at home. The setting at the harbor is beautiful, and the sunset views out the rear windows and decks are incredible. Our family truly enjoyed our stay and will certainly come back to enjoy this wonderful Home Away from Home. Thank you!

  This house proved to be ideal for us as we hosted our daughter’s wedding in Ventura. It provided us with a true home away from home – a place for the bridesmaids to stay with us on the night before, do hair and makeup the day of, and have a few out-of town guests for lunch the day after. Set in a quiet neighborhood, it was a peaceful refuge set aside from the other activities. Overall, the house is spacious, comfortable, and nicely laid out. The large, open kitchen-dining-family room area lends itself to relaxed socializing. There is a large deck overlooking the water and also a separate sun room with a pool table to provide variety and interest value. Altogether a great value for the price and, unlike many of the VRBO homes that are actually managed by realty firms, we enjoyed dealing directly with the owner.

  We loved this house and location! The weather was perfect and house was just as it is described in the ad. It is open, bright and sits right on the water. This location is actually a townhouse situation with common walls vs. a free standing house so please be aware that elderly neighbors are close by. I would definitly recommend this location to friends and family and will hopefully rent it again in the future. We loved the kayaks and that it was a short walk to the beach. The owner was very responsive to my emails and questions so be confident in your choice, it's great!

  What a beautiful home and great location; close to everything. The house was very comfortable and had all the amenities that make for a great getaway. Our friends and family enjoyed the kayak and the pool table. We hope to return in the future and recommend it to all of our friends.

  We have sincerely enjoyed our stay in Oxnard. It was really great holidays for Manu and myself, but also for the kids. We have enjoyed your electrical boat and we went twice to Dysneyland. We went offen to eat in Ventura and at Ventura Harbor. To be honest nothing could have been better. Your house is beautiful and our kids have been really happy to live their during three weeks. You could only have organized a better weather. I am already missing those great three weeks. Contact me if you come back to Europe. I thank you for your great support and wish you all the best.
