Miami Beach: South Beach Ocean Drive Condo: Beachfront!
- Minimum stay:5 nights
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:Yes
- Wheel chair accessible:No
THE BEST LOCATION! Why not roll out of bed and walk bare foot right across the street to the white sands and aqua waters of Miami Beach?!
This studio is clean, comfortable, well maintained, and owner managed. It is fully furnished and includes an exceptionally comfortable king sized bed, queen sized fold out couch, flat panel TV, cable TV, DVD, free WIFI, and clock radio/compact music system. The condo has central air conditioning/heat, a ceiling fan, bath towels, and beach chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances utensils and everything you need for light meals. You can make your trip quite economical because you can buy groceries right around the corner at Walgreens or a few blocks away at the Publix supermarket and prepare most meals right at the condo. You can also enjoy my rights to a beautiful ROOFTOP POOL only a few blocks away on Ocean Drive!
This large, totally modern studio is in the historic Barbizon Condominiums, circa 1937, right on Ocean Drive in the Art Deco Historic District. Although Ocean Drive is a magnet for dining and nightlife, this building is on the quiet end of the street. It will be your cool and quiet refuge.
Everything in South Beach is close. Within a few blocks are restaurants of every cuisine from Italian, Cuban, Pan-Asian, to Glatt Kosher, Mexican and classic American seafood. A Spanish restaurant downstairs has great paella- my guests get 20% OFF just by mentioning they are at my apartment! Two blocks away on Washington Ave are some of the most famous night clubs in the USA.
The pedestrian mall of Lincoln Road and the events of the Convention Center are a short walk away. What a great place for elegant shopping and dining, or just people watching from your sidewalk bistro table.

First visit to Miami Beach and it won't be the last! Our visit to the Barbizon, from start to finish, went without a glitch. Booking, arrival, stay and departure were effortless. The unit and building are very well maintained. Supplies were well stocked. The location is awesome...maybe 3 minutes to the beach! Plenty of space on a wide open clean beach...even during March break! We rented umbrellas (15.00) and lounge chairs (10.00) a couple times. Restaurants of all types nearby. Easy access to a variety of walking tours and bus tours. Two unique museums within walking distance, as well. Consider your tolerance of party-ing students and noise at night during March :) Have fun!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This condo was exactly what we had hoped for! The location is perfect. Directly behind the building on Collins was great shopping and right up the street on Ocean Drive are all the legendary art deco buildings that South Beach is known for. News Cafe is about 3 blocks down and the fabulous Palace is 6 blocks down. We also walked to Lincoln Road Mall every day we were there. Its probably a 1.5 mile walk, but a very enjoyable one, especially if you stay on Ocean Drive. The best part of he condo was its proximity to the beach. You walk out the front door, across the street, across Lummus Park and you're on the beach! We were from door to beach towel in less than 3 minutes! Alex was exceptional to work with during the booking process and throughout our trip. You can tell he takes pride in the state of the condo and makes sure to provide his guests with a homey, relaxing environment. The bed is big and very comfy and the kitchenette came in super handy after realizing that eating out every meal wasn't going to be an option in legendary South Beach. By the end of the week, we were almost too settled in to leave! I'd highly recommend this place to anyone staying in the area. You get comfort, convenience, and location at an absolutely unbeatable price. Thanks, Alex!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

My husband and I recently stayed in this condo for a long weekend trip to Miami/South Beach, and it was a great! The space was fabulous with very comfortable yet modern furniture, and it was so clean and taken care of. The condo sits right across from Lummus Park and the beach, but it is also had lots of restaurants nearby so we didn't have to walk far for food/drinks. Unfortunately, it rained the first couple of days we were in town, but we found the condo so inviting that we ran over to the Walgreen's, picked up a few things and relaxed in the comfy California king bed until we could hit the beach! Alex, the owner, was so great to work with throughout the booking process, and I would recommend him to anyone interested in renting a great place in that area. Overall, we give this entire experience 5 stars!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4

We were in Miami Beach in this appartment for one week. In the time before our visit I have had a very friendly email contact with the owner. It was very easy to get the information regarding the payment and the way to open the door etc. Additional the owner gave me some perfect info about the supermarket in the neighborhood etc. We have had a very great time in Miami Beach, the hot spot ocean drive is in front of the door, supermarket (Publix) is just a 10min. walk away. The beach is in opposite, there are two Starbucks coffee just 5 or 15 min walk. Avis rent a car is in Collins Avenue just 25 min walk. And the Collins Ave is a very great shopping area. Visit the Levis and the Zara store. We went to Key West and the Everglades. This was very easy by car. A little problem is the parking space but if you go to the jewish museum area parking is not so expensive. Use the pay machine in the evening and parking is free from 4am to 9am. The furnitures of the appartment are very nice the owner has a very good taste. The kitchen items are perfect and sufficient. The appartment was very clean, bathroom too. Sometimes it was a little bit noisy due to the ocean drive neighborhood but this is normal for this very good and central place. To make a visit in Miami Downtown you can use the bus, go to Washington Avenue. The cost are only 2 Dollars per person.Enjoy your stay in this appartment.Owner response: Thanks! Another great parking option I recently discovered is asking the valet parking guys in front of any hotel if they can offer a special deal on parking. I recently got 5 days with in and out privileges $20 cash. Try the Metropole Hotel on Collins Ave only 2 blocks away. You don't need to be a hotel guest!

Location of this condo couldn't be any better. The beach is right across the street, there's a 24 hour Walgreens around the corner, plenty of dining options and the crazy SoBe night life is only few blocks away yet you can easily get a good sleep without earplugs. The condo itself is wonderful, there's AC, fast wireless internet, well equipped kitchenette and even beach chairs with umbrella. All in all, excellent value for the money.Owner response: Thanks! I'm glad to hear that you found it to be a good value. I regularly check to be certain that I always am less expensive than the hotels. Also I check other condos near the beach to be sure I am priced very competitively with them.

Location, location, location!! This property is in the perfect location of South Beach - just steps across Ocean Drive to the beach, moments from all the activity, yet on the quiet end of the area. The studio was spotless, comfortable, convenient and quiet. It had everything the two of us needed to be comfortable for the five nights we were there: the bed was VERY comfortable, there was enough storage for the two of us to unpack and feel at home, the kitchen area was perfect for coffee, breakfasts (which I always prefer to eat "at home"), snacks, beverages, etc. We didn't cook a full meal but we could have, for sure. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the toaster oven did a great job on nachos! Oh, and did I mention how CLEAN the apartment was?!?! The Art Deco lobby and entry area are great and the building is quite secure. We loved strolling in and out along the entry walk beside the restaurant, smelling the food and listening (and maybe dancing a little!) to the music. Parking is a bit pricey (the cheapest we found was $15.00/day), but we knew it would be an expense going into it. We followed Alex's advice and combined activities into bigger trips and left the car in the garage for long periods so as to avoid the hourly rates. It required a little bit of planning, but if that's my biggest stressor, then it's a great vacation! We loved the beach, people watching, dining, South Point Park, renting biclycles, (did I mention people-watching?!?), window-shopping, sunsets, beautiful sand and water... There's such a variety of restaurants and activities there - something for everyone! We would definitely rent this condo again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient, affordable, clean, home-away-from-home in a beautiful, fun venue! Alex is great to work with and everything was easy - the way vacation is meant to be!!Owner response: Thank you Susan, I'm so glad you enjoyed staying there, and also that you rented bikes. I forgot to mention in my ad what a good destination this is for biking also, without at least 3 places within a 2 block radius where you can rent bikes. A note on parking- unlike the suburbs where we don't give parking a second thought, Miami Beach is a major urban area where economical parking needs to be thought about a little bit.I found a safe and secure open lot 2 blocks away at Ocean and 4th street that was only $10 a day. Also, street parking at the meters near my building can be economical. You can almost always find a close spot, the meters take credit cards, and you don't get charged at all late at night. So if you take your car out and about a few hours a day as well you don't spend much on parking. Thanks again!

Would just add to the above that the one thing lacking was a second key. Since we were 2 individuals spending most but not ALL our time together, it would have been very handy to have 2 keys. With only one, we spent a good deal of time coordinating how to meet up for the hand-off, etc, and/or compromising on activities, which...when on vacation, one wants to forego! :)Owner response: Thanks for your kind words- I am so glad you enjoyed the place. I think my studio is in an ideal location for relaxing, but of course I am biased,so it's good to hear it from a customer.

This place was perfect for two of us, old friends meeting up for a few days, wanting to catch up with one another and also wanting to be at the beach as much as possible and near tons of food and window-shopping to satisfy our need to explore. So the location was perfect, and the place was clean, well-maintained, extremely comfortable and efficient--everything we needed was readily available. We were on a budget, so the kitchenette served us well and is well-equipped with the basics. Alex was quick to respond to our initial inquiry and thereafter with any questions we had. Would recommend this place to any friend of mine and would stay there again. Thanks Alex!Owner response: Thanks for your kind words- I am so glad you enjoyed the place. My husband and I stayed at Alex' condo for 7 days - it was perfect! The location is amazing, only 1 minute from beach away! so many restaurants for having dinner right around the corner - the appartment had all we need for a pleasant stay. If you have a car (you won't use it very often!), try to deal with the valet parking guys from Metropole Hotel - it is very easy and the most affordable possibility we checked out (thanks again to Alex). Thank you so much, Alex, for your support in all matters - it was really a pleasure! We'd like to come back for our next holidays! Greetings from MunichDid you find this review helpful?
